    The fold at 20:36 is a mistake I think. Yes there is an Ace on board, but villain may have KK or JJ. He has bet a quarter pot and we have position. Queens can be turned into a bluff to represent AQ ourselves to fold out KK by betting turn small if checked to. He is giving us an excellent price to play in position and I think we should continue on this flop and peel one card.

    What do you think about 3betting pocket pairs in SB instead of calling them ?

  • @DJ-Rext
    @DJ-Rext 4 года назад +1

    Last hand with the 45, I don't agree with the statement we have enough showdownvalue: as all his non-pair hands will mostly bet OTT instead of check/calling, we actually have very little showdownvalue against his turn check/calling range. Given we block some of his 2 pair combo's and Villain is a bit more capped than we are I think I prefer continuing the bluff and betting OTR.

    • @DJ-Rext
      @DJ-Rext 4 года назад

      Aside from 3x (which Villain will not even always play this way and has very few combos of), what do we have sd value against? And will he not fold 8x against a bet?

      There should be some missed draws that give up on this river; A-high that want a cheap showdown maybe; some of which may xr us off the best hand?
      I only dabble in the micros though where overbluffing v. a reg in a similar situation should be okay.

    • @RaiseYourEdge
      @RaiseYourEdge  4 года назад +1

      In zoom500 people play way more gto than in tournaments. If he barrels all draws (Tx, Qx and flushdraws, he is heavily overbluffing. He can certainly x/C hands like KQ KT AT Kx or Ax flushdraws that are too good to barrel.

    16:00 about the qj hand top right table. what do we do when we cbet pot and face a check raise? will that check raise be nutted because we bet pot ourselves?

    • @RaiseYourEdge
      @RaiseYourEdge  4 года назад

      I would always call once and then depending on the Turn we fold. Checkraise sucks, but with top pair we call at least once and then decide on the Turn.

    500nl zoom is weird game- this raises on dry flops are pretty strange , like they are not repping much, but are they bluffing enough? i think some of the regs may start exploiting your cbet strategy - if you are over cbetting- they can raise your cbets a lot , i dont know .

    • @RaiseYourEdge

    Although I stopped playing reg NL100 and NL200 years ago, this playstyle looks not good to me at all 😰. It may be, that the game have changed a lot... But I think, you turn so many good hands in position in a stupid bluff3bet preflop for 100bb stacks instead of playing your position postflop well. And you don’t 3bet preflop, where you better could or should imo. But ok...

    • @RaiseYourEdge
      @RaiseYourEdge  4 года назад

      what kind of hands would you 3bet instead?

    • @Markusgebvor
      @Markusgebvor 4 года назад

      Raise Your Edge I don’t know the exact spot anymore, but you 3betted quite frequently in position habds like 78s, JTs, KJs. I would flat these hands often as long as you don’t 3bet for isolating a fish or prevent yourself from getting squeezed.
      I would 3bet IP sth. like A2s, KQo, ...! If you have to fold these hands preflop to a 4bet, than its not the end of life :).
      But it might be, that the games have changed so much...

    • @RaiseYourEdge
      @RaiseYourEdge  4 года назад +1

      @@Markusgebvor that is a common missconception to 3bet way to weak. A2s is not even a flat nor a 3bet in most spots. KQo is fine. From MP our 3bets have to be strong (KJs JTs). You cant 3bet hands like A2s or 87s in mp vs utg for example since your equity postflop will be way to little.

    • @zHqqrdz
      @zHqqrdz 4 года назад

      @@Markusgebvor The problem you face also by cold calling such hands is you give crazy good spots for others to squeeze and put you in a bad spot. 3betting those hands won't be a "bluff" 3bet that much since you have so much equity anyway. Also KJs, JTs, those kinds of hands have great playability post-flop thanks for having backdoor FD on many boards. It also forces the MP / CO to be a lot tighter, and they can't 4bet too much because you can easily call a 4bet with a big part of your range now.
      It's easier to flat those and 3bet very very polarized instead, but it also makes the games softer for the opponents.
      As an actual 200z reg, I really like Bencb playstyle here. He would crush 200z without a doubt.
