I was fried, dyed, and laid to side! My hair was stringy but I swore I had inches!😩 Now I’m sisterlocked and my hair is growing like weeds! Mid-back length now!🙌🏾
Oh I'd bet your locs are beautiful!!
sounds like u wrote a poem with a deep meaning, very wise words indeed 😌
My hair damage story is that I use to sleep on a lace blanket. I thought the blanket was soo pretty. That lace took out the left side of my hair. Took awhile before I caught on that the "cute" blanket was damaging my hair. Your client's hair came out gorgeous!!
Omg!! I never knew that!! 🙈
I straightened my hair with a flat iron EVERY single morning for school. My hair was relaxed too. Let's just say that I always had bangs whether I wanted to or not. Been natural 5 years now and I still can't believe my front hair can go past my nose.
I used to bleach box dye my hair and wondered why I could never grow it more than an inch or two past my shoulders 🤦♀️
Yes...if you didn't turn that curling iron immediately upon waking up, it wouldn't be hot enough! It's crazy how many of us curled our hair EVERY day with relaxed hair!
I am so guilty of participating in that practice. And I know that is a small part of why my hair just fell off completely. I’ve learned my lesson 😅🤗.
Omg…when you know better to do better. I used to burn my hair out of my head on a daily basis every.single.day. I wouldn’t dare treat my hair like that in 2023, but everyone was doing it and we didn’t know better.
Same
Exactly!!!!
I would only use direct heat once a year with a relaxer. Roller sets and flat wraps are a must with relaxed hair.
Oh have I got a story for y’all. I used to flat iron my hair from wet to dry (no heat protector! Not that it would have mattered). My hair was literally sizzling 🥵 😅 we live & learn.
Omg! Some people still do that! Babyliss has a wet to dry iron. Crazy to me!
Yes the tranquil sounds of sizzling hair…aahhh… memories.🤦🏾♀️
I had a wet to dry straightener too! it said it would cut styling time and make your hair shiny and healthy. 😂
Same!! College days. Thought I was doing something. Hair was long but full of split ends from frying them.
I used to do that too! You know what's even worse? My hair was bleached at the time! I'd be rocking green and blue hair and barely drying before straightening it. No wonder a bunch of my hair broke off during senior year 😂
my damaging story is skin related: i used to wear make up and NEVER take it off. like layers upon layers of make up, stacking up everyday. it wasn't like a full beat but it was foundation + eye make up. the fact that I have clear skin today is actually a miracle
Why didn’t you remove it?
What do you mean never, how does that work I’m so curious 😮
You didn’t wash your face? Ever?😮
Plss I used to have an auntie like this, she would always go to bed with her makeup on, the fact that she had clear skin was always à mysery to us
People actually have a misconception about makeup… acne is usually internal… hormones, intestinal/gut health, vitamin deficiencies, etc
I flat ironed my hair just about every morning. I relaxed my hair every 4 weeks. I have been natural for 2.5 year now, and have straightened my hair 3 times. I wish I could find someone like you to care for my hair.
My damage was curling dirty hair, relaxing way too often and wearing tight weaves for a decade straight. My hair is probably the healthiest it has ever been today and I am so glad I still have some! I got knowledge and with that came the health and the length. Great job as always.
Now this is the story of my life! We live and learn 😅
Omg I'm so tempted to grab the RevAir...literally looks like a pain free, no-hassle hairdrying experience
I went and googled right away and saw the price 😭🤣
Y'all in my 20s I pressed my hair. I was trying to get my ex back so I PRESSED my hair 😮💨 That same nite I saw him and when he gave me a hug...he said my hair smelled BURNT!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I didn't even want him back after that. 😑 I cried to my best friend the whole nite about my hair🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's funny!
@@Liz-ic6jb 🤣🤣🤣🤣
No omg 😱
Sissssss!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂that hair get'n together overpowered that love
Awwe she's so pretty; not camera shy at all!! Love how you didn't flat iron her hair | it's beautiful fullness. Which is a look!! Girl, whoever be doing your NAILS, they be slaying them each|every time!!! OMG they're really nicely designed!!
Thank you!!
@@DeeperThanHairTv yesss we need a nail close up in the videos
that's how I used to do my hair. I would blow dry and then use the curling iron to curl it. For a long time, I didn't know people would flatiron their hair and then curl it. 🤔
Good Morning!!! She does an Excellent job on coloring, cutting, pressing the hair with her iron, making sure the entire head of hair has been treated equally, & all that is needed for different grades of hair. She is definitely a Professional Hairstylist in her business!!! God has given her some value & dedicated gifts to handle or treatment to handle each client with love, courtesy, & definitely highest respect!!!!🙏🙏👏👏💜💜🎼🎼

@@ItsAlayah love this addition to our flow
gorgeous!!! my sister and i didnt have flat irons as teens, so our mom used to help us lay our hair on some towels on the bed and she would straighten our hair out with a regular clothing iron. we eventually learned to do it ourselves using the same technique. apparently this wasnt a normal 90's-00's childhood experience 😂
Girl what?! MaMa was on it! 🤣🙈
My sister ironed her hair that way in the 60s!
@@annainspain5176 my mom was born in the 60s, maybe thats where she got the idea from! 🤣
That’s the real struggle 😂 flat irons used to be like $20 🥴
I had two friends who would do this in the 90s
Deeper than hair. You are so masterful in your craft! It's so comforting to watch a person take pride in their work! Just love ❤️ it.
OOOOHHH 🤭😳 That quote sis‼️ OMG .. THE cut collar 🙌🏾🙌🏾 teach these heavy handed happy SISTAS😉😁😂🤣
Blair in the chair😁🤣🤣
You are too cute🙂
What a sweet spirit 💜🙋🏾♀️
Thank you for your content 💯
I love watching you do hair. I also love your upbuilding comments at the beginning of your show. You are just precious!
BAYBAY! That struggle when you THOUGHT you turnt them irons on and actually DID NOT 😢 whew thank god for deliverance 😂 I keeps me a tapered fade on this here twa and i stay on my way 😂
I am thinking about getting a tapered cut but hesitating because of the maintenance. How often do you have it shaped up?
Lmao!!! It was almost worse than when you think your phone is charging!!!!
@@lovelota6334 I do it myself lol
@@deb8911 Wow! You have skills.
Blair’s hair turned out beautiful. I’ve had my time of damaging my hair. Where I’m from we called spikes in the hair Banana Peels. Every other day I was spraying Paul Mitchell freeze & shine or Fantasia spritz super hold and frying my hair. The flat irons back then didn’t have temperature control. I had hair down my back and the middle looked like chicken little…but My hair was cute 😂🤦🏾♀️
@@lovelynicole8875 it was a mess 😂
Hey! Libra here! Love the Gem vibes as well.
My story as a hairstylist and woman of color is just about the same except mine was with the flat iron. We always preach that we need to use heat protection and not to put heat on our hair daily, but we don't always practice it. Up until I cut my hair in 2019, I was frying my poor strands to make my bob look glam. I got tired of it and now I rock the very short pixie hair cut. I'm loving the short cut in my 40's now.
This turned out beautifully. Great job sis!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I can literally watch you style hair every day. I wished you would have shown the whole cut. Another fabulous job 👏 ❣️💐
Just used my Deeper Than Hair 💜 flat iron for the 1st time & here you are posting lol. Avoided heat for over a year, as I used heat way too much in the past, chopped off some. Love my flat iron, thank you!
We LOVE your videos, Kee! So insightful and we are so grateful to be a part of your process❤
Blair’s hair is beautiful. It was not as bad as she thought it was. Natural shine , texture and body.
I use to do my own hair, I was surprisingly good. Using curl kits . Cutting my hair with kitchen shears 😂. But I got my hair to grow in 11th/12th grade. People started asking me to do their hair. I did not trust myself to do anyone hair. Scorpio ♏️ here.
I love the results you get with the dryer!!
I also was good for curling daily.. over processing at any sign of new growth. I had no love for my natural hair growing up. Mom gave me free range. Just recently did my third big chop. This time I’m staying loyal. Love the channel. Blessings to the year ahead!
Your videos are so relaxing to watch! I love listening to you talk.
You are so uplifting and watching you gives me joy.
Want to be the first to say happy wonderful prosperous New Year thank you for being a wonderful motivator.. I'm glad to see you back on Sundays I've been missing you terribly even though you're retired I think keeping up your channel is a great thing allows people to see your skills and you get to do it at your own pace. Please do a video of some of your favorite hairstyles and what tools you recommend for those just starting a new career in cosmetology?? What are some equipment you wouldn't advise for students to invest in that they're going to need when they start out in a salon. Have a blessed new week happy prosperous 2023
Kee, you are the reason I made the leap and bought myself this dryer! It is everything!
I put sunscreen in my hair as heat protectant in middle school when I was still learning my hair and proceeded to flat iron. It was so dry 😂
LMAOOOO Why is that so funny… I hope it redeemed itself!😂
@@asiah7352 lol it took like 3 months for my hair to be semi normal lmao. I had no business thinking that would work 😂
The way I screamed "Ayeeee!" yes fellow Gemini. Libras and Leos are definitely our favorite kind of company to be around.
Thank you for your aesthetic videos and the Rev Air. Also, really like the hair guide, so precise, don't think I've seen that before.
I'm a Libra too! But I had no one to teach me how to take care of my hair when I was younger so I spent my later teens and 20's learning about hair, cutting chemicals and just flourshing. Now in my 30's I'm a licensed Cosmetologist but I have to relearn how to care for my hair being a diabetic.
I remember using a Golden Hot flat iron on my hair, and I set it too high. I clamped down on a piece of hair on top of my head and burnt it right off. 😱
noo, not the top of your head. That's awful.
the same thing happened to me, hair immediately crinkled up, died, and disappeared😭
Thank goodness I always start doing my hair in the back at the base of neck.
Same🙈😩
I don't know how any of us still had hair back then. I used to "bump" my ends every day too.
Her curls came out so beautifully!!
Kee I love your channel ❤️❤️
I always learn something from each video.
Thanks Kee!!! Blair hair is beautiful.
You are one of the main reasons that my hair is actually healthy now. I learned how to get it healthy while still straightening it. But it to where I love wearing my hair natural. I wear my hair natural more that I wear my hair straight.
I’m a Libra and I just love your videos!!!! 🫶🏾 Sending you love back! You’re out here doing God’s work.

Hi Kee love love the quote❤ her hair looks so healthy thank you once again for sharing your styles and skills her hair is gorge!
Aaayyyyeeee Libra gang gang!!! I used to get perms and then press the life outta my hair. It had to be as straight as possible 😂😂. I haven’t had a perm in 12 years!! Thank God for growth and knowledge!!!
LOVE all the bling :) Beautiful bracelets.
I want to try that dryer!! Happy Sunday beautiful!!! 🫶🏽
Need my heat 🙌🏾 Happy New Year Kee! 🎉
so glad you finally joined the rest of us with the RevAir! DOn't know why anyone would continue that brushing and pulling.
Blair's hair turned out so beautiful. She has curls for days. I absolutely love that blow dryer. It is amazing.
I started wearing my hair straight every day in about 7th grade. I had my mom touch it up every morning and it was slowly getting shorter. Around 10th grade my stylist suggested getting a doobie (roller set and wrap) instead of blow dry and flat iron. I still wanted her to flat iron the hair after taking out the rollers, wrapping it and sitting me back under the dryer 🥴 but I stopped with the daily flat iron and I started retaining a lot of length again
Sis you influenced me to get that RevAir and I LOVE IT!!!
Truly is a game changer! My rxn face from the first pass was hilarious!!!😂
I straitened my hair every single day, relaxed the perimeter of my hair so have a flatter ponytail, and used bleach & box dye on my already damaged hair. Going natural literally saved my hair. And the revair is about to change my life after I take these braids out 🙏🏼
I’m in love with that dryer !
Her hair looks nice! Glad she got it trimmed. It looks healthy
I did all that to my hair in my teenage years, from flat ironing my hair each and everyday to using peroxide to dye it 😩🤦🏾♀️. I’ve been natural for over 10 yrs and loc’d for 2 yrs.
So glad your back. I can’t even look at the pictures of me back in the day because it was always a hot mess.
I love that dryer !
Beautiful, as always. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Awww! She’s precious!
Her hair came out so beautiful!! An what a pretty smile
All I'm gonna say about my back in the day damage is relaxers (done way too frequently and definitely incorrectly), brown gel, pink lotion, bumpers every day just like you. Oh, and don't let it be a party going on because then I'd bump it once again before going out smh. Oh and I know it's not hair related, but 99 cent strawberry roller ball lip gloss straight from the beauty supply store to top off all my damaging hair styles. Lol. I love your content and appreciate your focus on hair health and proper care. You are a godsend.
I really love her kind language and commentary. A hair expert who doesn't judge, accepts where people are and is glad to meet them there, while teaching them how to apply best care practices. Wish I had access to real, empathetic, talented people like this in Holland. (I miss being home in North America 🇨🇦)
I love the way you articulate and the advice you give ! I hope to one day be able to sit in your chair 😊❤
O.M.G. I looooove the RevAir! I have 2 girls with full thick heads of hair and it's changed our lives! Only had it for a month and we are so happy with the results and the drying time cut in half. No stress
Her hair is beautiful. I will have to try your heat protectant. Yes, the Revair is truly awesome. I just used mine for the first time. I purchased it after I saw one of your videos. 👍🏾
You slayed another one. Her hair looks gorgeous
I love your channel so much, you’ve inspired me to be a hairstylist when I grow up. 🤩😍
I want you to do my hair sooo bad❤️❤️❤️this is one of my favorite channels, I love learning from you
Had blonde blonde highlights. Flat ironed EVERYDAY. I would even double back and use hot rollers to make it bigger.
Ahhh hair stories. Gluing in my tracks and using a clothes iron to get my hair as straight as the hair I glued in was awful but that blend was ON POINT LOL I want that dryer!! WOW
Love the cutting collar!!!
I 1000% use to flat iron my hair almost if not everyday and put murray's on my edges. 🤦🏾♀️
Quarantine helped me get through my straightener addiction. It took me a good 10months to almost a year to fully feel comfortable in my natural hair pattern. Before then I was straightening my hair everyday since 13 >.< no one my hair looked so thin😵💫
If there’s one good thing about quarantine it was that I also learned how to do my own hair (both naturally curly and straight) and it basically forced me to find a routine that works for me.
I’m glad you’re no longer using a straightener every day cause just hearing about people doing that makes me hella worried lol
I bought the RevAir last year after watching ur video. I LUV IT!! And, I'm a tender-head adult. 🤣 Ur NAILS 💅 🔥
I'm so glad I had great people who showed me how to take care of myself and my hair when I was a kid.
So relaxing …beautiful hair ❤
GORGEOUS! Great job.
Love the REV AIR! Makes doing my daughter's hair so much easier!!!
Man I been following you for years now and I watch these other stylist and you literally are my favorite! You are not rude and overly sarcastic and your so kind. I’m rooting and praying for your success cousin ( we not really cousins but I respect her like that ) 🥰🥰.
Ok bye 😅
I used to mess my hair up by relaxing it every time I had any type of new growth.. And using a super strength relaxer at that! It used to make my hair soo thin! Now I’m proudly natural!
I’m so glad I found RevAir now I just need to get that cutting collar.
OOO look at you go Kee! Ur posting more frequently! go girlll! I love all ur videos! ❤❤
I always feel calm and loved when I watch your videos. Thank you.
She is drop dead gorgeous!
Gosh…what I know now could’ve been helpful to myself when I was 18,19, 20 and so on. I used to straighten my hair without heat protection and it caused plenty of heat damage that my hair was frizzy and not great! 😂 But learning about heat protection is so important as well as when enough heat is enough. I’m grateful that you’re giving your tips and advice about what’s most important when caring for our hair. 🙌🏾
I'm so happy to see you use this Revair idk I actually got excited. It's a good tool I think all stylist should have one
You are such a blessing. I could listen to you all day. You really honed your craft as a vocation. You are doing what God gifted you to do. I see how you treat your customers with TLC. You are an all around artist. I need you in my life! My hair needs you too. Please do my hair or tell me what I need to do to protect my ends. I feel like I could never get past bushy ends so my hair never gets past a certain length.
Love your videos and love that you use the RevAir! I got mine this past Christmas and used it for the first time a few weeks ago. I’m still getting use to using it, but it definitely help dry my hair faster than using a regular blow dryer AND my arms weren’t killing me 😂
My story about my hair: when I was younger (youth to mid-20s) I use to depend on the hair salon for everything! I’d get my hair done every 2 weeks like clockwork, but didn’t really take care of my hair in between appointments. Of course I wore satin bonnets and slept on a satin pillowcase, but no one actually taught me how to moisturize and seal my hair. I didn’t learn any of that until about 2 years ago. I didn’t know about how sectioning my hair would make wash days easier or that heat protectant was a thing! I had so much to learn 🤦🏾♀️ Somehow my hair survived through it all and thankfully my hair is flourishing now.
I've had my rev air for 3 years now. Best thing on the planet for a tender-headed child!!!!
She’s so beautiful!
I really like watching you do hair.
Love your nails this week Kee! Shout out from a loyal Cancer! Your channel makes me so happy!
I enjoy your videos so much! You explain everything so well. I wish that you were here in my town, bcuz I would definitely be in your chair!
I have always had long hair. As a teenager I relaxed my hair a lot. Not to mention coloring it every month. Doing sew ins & updos with a ton of Pump it up spray & oil sheen 🤭 I'm thankful my curl pattern never got damaged. I've been natural for almost 10 years now & have motivated Family & friends to do the same. Happy New Year hair journey everyone! 🥳🙏🏼
I love your work and you do such an amazing job❤❤
