You can tell the RevAir did less damage to the cuticles just based on the appearance of the puffiness. I’ve been stanning the Rev for yearssssss. It’s not $500 for no reason! ❤
I broke down & purchased the ReVair a while back. I was skeptically at first & will be using it a 3rd time later this week. Personally, I like it. I use it to stretch my curly hair wash and go’s and it looks so amazing when i do it. No other dryer has been able to duplicate it. As far as blowing my hair out the revair makes my hair feel more moisturized and so much softer then the dyson.
I do not use my revair to stretch my wash and gos because my ends always go straight. How do you prevent that? Or do you go back and wet the ends? I’m curious!
@@AliyahChantel The way to prevent the straight ends is to make sure ur ends and mids are 100% dry before putting it into the revair. The roots usually are wet so that the stretching can last. I just treated myself to the RevAir this week and it's a game changer for me. It used to take me hours to dry and straighten these curls. With the RevAir it fully dried in 20 min. After drying I did a quick pass with my flat iron and I was done in 30 min. Never have I ever been able to do my hair in 30 min! My hair is so much smoother and shinier. Even my ends turned out smooth. I felt no heat and did not break a sweat like I normally would with a regular blow dryer. I also have no static in my hair like I would normally get. It's definitely worth the cost for me because of how much time I saved and the end result.
RevAir is perfect for those who wear their hair stretched and/or in heat styles. I Love my Dyson because I mostly use the diffuser attachment after a wash and go. I use the comb attachment when I want to stretch my hair, which is rare for me. I use the smoothing attachment, the styling concentrator and the ring that is used for a slower air flow. I use it every wash day even if I sit under the dryer, I use it to dry my roots before I go to bed. As for me and my household we don’t sleep on wet hair. I really like the idea of the RevAir. Revair for me. I don’t like the constant manipulation of having to comb so much through each section, well, at least for my fine, low/medium density hair. Might not be that’s bad for someone with stronger strands .Dyson is more space sufficient for sure. I keep my revair in my trunk and take it out when I’m ready to use it lol i have no storage space for it!
I received the Dyson limited edition as a Christmas gift and I like it. I can't say yet that I feel like it's worth the price point 🤷🏽♀️. I want to try the Revair but can't justify the price just to straighten my hair. With the Dyson, I can use it for both curly and straight styles.
Great review! The Revair seems to be more smooth and you don’t have to manipulate your hair which is a plus. Unfortunately , both dryers are high in cost . I would definitely have to save up for it but it seems worth it. If you got the money, go for it.
Pro tip: if your ends are still frizzing after blow drying, I suggest working your head in sections use a rolling brush. I normally don’t spend a large amount of money unless it’s important necessities but if you’re constantly doing your own hair, looking to spend less time on drying and looking for minimal heat damage (so the website says, I’m still trying to find the data that proves it) then I suggest the Dyson as an investment. I’d consider getting the revair but I only see it useful for getting your hair straightened. I also wear my natural curls so I need an item that can straighten and diffuse.
I am watching this video again (03.29.2023) at the time this video initially posted, I was like I would neva, eva, buy a RevAir ( the dyson isn’t on my radar) for that price. But I bought a RevAir, finally in November I waited for the upgraded model. I love this thang, I bought the full kit with the insurance. Truly a game changer makes wash day a lot faster.
Way to represent the thick curl girls!! I like the Revair too!! Not only did your hair look sleeker but it looked healthier for your hair. No pulling the comb detachment thru your strands! GREAT video....thanks for sharing!!
From what I can see, the Revair gives a smoother, straighter result. It looks like getting a silk press would take almost no time! On the other hand, it looks more like a vacuum cleaner than a hair dryer! 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
I looooove the Revair!! I quickly learned to detangle and add my leave before using the Rev, when doing that it takes about 20-40 minutes to blow dry fully rather than a couple hours.
I have and love the Revair. I’ve had it since 2017. Im horrible at blowing my hair out, with the Revair it’s bulletproof. Just detangle and hold it. Plus there is no heat blowing all over. I have a revlon brush and can’t even use that lol. Revair is the best investment!! I had to note mine out with after pay when I got it lol. Laides, GET IT
Hey, would you say you retained more length by using the revair ? I really want to buy it and if it actually helps with length retention, I will be sold.

The rev air looks like a mini vacuum. I don't care how revolutionary it is, I am definitely not going to buy it. I wonder if anyone tried to use a mini vacuum on their hair as Tik tok post
I have both too. And I love the Dyson when I want to do single braids because it really gets at my roots. I’m very tender headed so the less parting they have to do, the better. I use my revair when I am doing twists or low maintenance style on myself because it’s quick and easy. The revair is better at straightening my ends but not great with my roots (in comp to Dyson). They both have their pros. They are both very expensive though. I wouldn’t no which to recommend to someone.
Better check that warranty first. Things that are that expensive usually come with 5- 10 year warranties. The issue is no one ever pays attention to it unless it's an addon at check out
I liked the Revair at first but noticed my ends were so dry after I used it. I also don’t like how my roots were never stretched. I will try the dyson next.
Thanks for helping me choose! I’m going for the big and bulky because them results hunntttyyyy yesssssss ❤❤❤ my daughter has super thick and long natural hair and wants it to be straight and helping her accomplish that has been hard but with this I think we can do work 😊
Yes....Rev Air is definitely on one. It's chunky big and bold. But I luv it. Results on your hair, u can clearly see the difference between the two. Once I got the hang of it, it blow drys very quick. My go to for a blow out, prep for braids and flat iron . Ur hair is gorgeous 😍
I love love LOVED the RevAir for easy low breakage blowouts (4c thickgang over here). I’m on loc journey now tho so I haven’t used it in a couple months. If I ever wash my hair myself again I’ll try it on my locs. I always use the Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum claims to dry faster. I got my hair bone straight in 15-20min (30s per section). And yes baby is mad heavy even in the handle 🤣
Definitely the RevAir! Once you get pass the price, I think this is a great blow dryer especially for us natural thick haired queens. I have thick hair and definitely hate to have to go through my hair many times with a blow dryer.
Love this! Great review! And I agree, I just bought the Revair and wow! It shortened the time and it gave me the shine and bounce I wanted! Thank You Jesus! Thank you for this review and God bless!
Once I figured out my technique with my Dyson it takes me 12 minutes to blow dry my hair (it used to take over an hour)! And I have a lot of hair!! It’s thick and very long. I loveeee it! My hair feels very strong as well. And the results are super sleek. I only use the second heat setting. It works well for me 🥰 also the shampoo and conditioner process matters. Like a bunch. I don’t get the same results if I don’t use a smoothing shampoo/ conditioner. That’s half the battle. Also getting regular trims...That makes a huge difference with blow dry results. My hair is thick from roots to tip and very shiny after using the Dyson. But every product and tool works different for everyone and their needs! I blow dry every single week. So I need to get through the process efficiently. The Dyson takes the dreaded blow drying experience away for me! I have a 2 year old and 4month old so for any mamas that need to save some time....this could help!
I agree. The Dyson is more powerful and you need to know how to blow dry hair. The Revair is for people who have not or do not want to use special blow drying techniques. There is a way to get your ends straight with the Dyson but there is no way to get your roots straight with the Revair
@Nikki Yazzie yep I agree with you! That’s the best way to put it. it’s definitely a learning curve to get the best results with Dyson. I’ve been blow drying regularly for over a year so I’ve figured out a lot of what works and doesn’t work. And yep my ends and roots come out straight. Part of that is having regular trims and the other part is technique. It’s hard to explain but it comes down to holding my hair while I’m drying it and drying from ends to roots. I don’t spend anymore time drying my ends than the rest of my hair but there’s something about going from the bottom up that works extremely well! Also my babies are mixed so with the different hair textures in this house... I need allll those Dyson attachments 😂 overall my hair is extremely more manageable after using the Dyson. Whereas before I felt like I had to use my amika straightening brush to smooth out my blow dried hair. Now I just blow dry and leave it alone lol
@@cfoster6804 kinky/curly, high density, thick strands, low porosity. It shrinks maybe 50% if I weren’t to blow dry it. I’ve found that my hair is just easier to manage when it’s blown out. I never experience any dryness! Naptural85 mentioned something about the rev air making her scalp sore in the past so she had to take a break. After I saw that I completely lost interest in the rev air. I don’t personally like the idea of it tugging from my scalp. I don’t know how strong of a tug it is but I don’t want to cause my scalp any unnecessary stress since I blow dry so regularly
I had both and Revair wins hands down. The only areas the Dyson edges it out is the weight/less bulk and getting the roots straighter. I've just never been able to master getting my 4b roots straight enough to flat iron after using the Revair. Even still the Revair is superior. Better overall stretch, softer hair, less manipulation. I returned the Dyson it didn't get my ends as good and dried my hair out terribly on the lowest setting.
I tried the revair for about 8 weeks - it totally fried my hair made it dry frizzy and created a ton of split ends despite using heat protectant! I always wear my hair silk pressed and loose - I never had damage with a basic blowdryer and flat iron.I ended up giving mine away.
I’m returning my revair. I just got it about 2 weeks ago. It doesn’t smooth my hair at all it’s crinkly and matted. I’ve tried 3 times and made sure my hair was detangled. I still had to brush through my hair cause it was matted up.
Did you start on high heat? One of the things I've noticed is that people use the dryer on high heat. You have to work your way up so it's important to start on low heat. Your hair should also be wet when blow drying it. :)
@@tanayaberry Yep - I only used it on freshly washed and conditioned hair and used low heat to high heat - the worst dryer I have ever used on my hair!! I have long hair and after 8 weeks it was damaged beyond repair - I had to grow it out. I do not recommend the Revair!
@@tanayaberry This happened in the summer of 2021. I trimmed my hair twice a month until I grew out a new head of hair (instead of cutting it all off). It's back to Mid back length and healthy now. I think the problem with the revair is that the ends and bottom half of the hair get overheated while the roots of the hair are still wet. With a blow dryer, you can concentrate heat on the roots and save your ends.
I bought a dyson last week and LOVE it the revair interests me but I love using the diffuser to dry my roots (fine 3c/4a) and the concentrater to stretch my wash and go
Revair for the win. I just got mine and love it. I still need to find my right settings to get it nice and sleek. Mine dried wavy but i love it. Its so much less work than a regular drier. Even though its heavy my arms weren’t tired.
I love the RevAir, it's so easy to use and the results are great. I also use it on my kids and my Daughter is so tender headed the RevAir is a game changer for wash days,
Rev air all day!!!! I have one and love it!!! It is huge !! But girl there is nothing easy in natural hair!!! Thanks for review on dyson I was on fence!!!!
I think the revair looks smoother, and I would suggest that is because of the way it pulls the hair down to dry so it smooths the cuticle. Beautiful hair 👑
I know this is an old video but I just ordered my RevAir last Friday. Can’t wait to receive it and try it. I contemplated buying it for a couple years. Saw they had a summer sale going on and said, what the heck. I want sleeker hair without spending 100.00 - 200.00 at the salon. Blow drying and trying to flat iron my hair when I want it straight and clearly breaking off some hair in the process isn’t cutting it. Hopefully it’ll arrive this week.
Revair hands down. My old one was working great and I still got myself the new one as an early Christmas present. (I sold the old one to help pay for it 😊)
I detangle my hair with a liquid spray or cream leave in or heat protectant and a well known detangling brush before I use my Dyson. I do not want to use the Revair cause I don’t want to stretch my hair out too much. I have been using the Dyson for 3 years and it has helped my hair and my hands don’t hurt using it. Also, I really don’t have room for something so bulky. Also with my Dyson, I NEVER use the hottest setting. I am a 4B/C and I no longer use relaxers.
I got both and the Revair seems like it gives me slight heat damage in my front looser sections. The Dyson doesn’t stretch my hair they much but my hair doesn’t smelled burnt or look/feel dry. I also don’t get slight heat damage but I still prefer the revair because it’s less work 💯
Feiw, I had the same experience the first time I used my revair but I discovered that it was because I blew it dry too long. I did not need th 90 seconds that was recommended. More like 70-75.
I saw a video here on RUclips where the lady used the Rev-Air to get the same results you'd get with a diffuser. Her results were amazing! Amazing curls, no frizz and great shine. She used low heat and low tension.
Im here trying to decide which one to buy. It's looking like the revair. I do my hair and my daughters hair on the weekend. I need dry time to be quick and work well. These are close.
Personally… I like the Revair✨✨I have never tried it because I don’t have the coins at the moment. To me if you like a more sleeker blow out then use the Revair. If you want big hair or a more “fluffy” blow out then use the Dyson. It’s kinda on what the individual wants. Your video was amazing💕 Very helpful
They have payment plan. They ship out after 4th & final pmt. I asked about return policy & they said 100% if I used and didn’t like it. That sold me. That’s a big investment. But I love my Rev Air! I menopause & sweat from scalp while blow drying. My hair is definitely moist after drying. No crunchie ends! Those that are iffy about protecting investment w/Dyson, you should by it from Nordstrom. Your purchase is protected for life! @CurlieCrys thanks for great comparison!
I got my Dyson to diffuse my wash and goes after I come from under the hooded dryer. Haven’t tried it on a regular blow dry. I wanted the RevAir but I seldom stretch my hair. Glad to see the comparison.
Looks wise revair wise, it’s easy, turn out extra straight, looks like less work than combing, honestly just overall better, slicker and shiner. I already bought my dyson, it’s been by dream hair dyer for like forever, I haven’t used mine yet.
Omg!!! You were reading my mind. I was just now looking at videos of revair. I have the dyson and I love it! But I’m thinking about getting the revair🤔
Ok I’m liking the Rev Air side .. lol your hair is so beautiful Crys 🥰💙.. I haven’t straightened my hair in 2 1/2 yrs .. thank you for this comparison 💙
I’m a loc’d natural (love my micro locs!) But lol if I had the Rev Air pre-loc, I’d wouldn’t be loc’d JS. Natural thick hair is beautiful but the upkeep is taxing. Literally hours drying your hair yet grateful you have it 😩
I feel like the Dyson didn't get a fair shot with just the attachment. That Dyson is very powerful and also the technology doesn't damage your hair like a regular dryer.
Off first glance revair gave nice results. I feel like you have 3c/4a type hair (correct me if I’m wrong), but do you think results would be similar with a more type 4 hair.
The thing is the RevAir seems like it's only useful for a blow out (though a slightly less frizzy/straighter one that the Dyson) while the Dyson is meant to be used for drying and styling. Maybe the design of the Revair makes it so it can do what many of the Dyson attachments do, just without the extra pieces.
I love my revair. If it ever died, I’d buy another one. I get no breakage, no heat damage, no tugging, and no pulling. Worth every penny.
Yup! Love it🙌🏾
Same best investment of my life❤️❤️

I luv my Revair also!! I've had mines for about 3-4 years and it is a game changer. Worth every penny!! If it broke I'd buy another one for sure
Watch Simply Tamika RUclips to see how to get the roots stretched with revair
The reverse hairdryer company would make more money by selling their product for a cheaper price, which more people could afford.
Or selling to European naturals 😢
@@AF-zd1st What is your hair type?
I love my Dyson as well. The RevAir is so bulky, heavy and loud and it didn’t do my roots well. The Dyson is fast and I get awesome results.
Thank you for satisfying my curiosity and saving me money. I’ll stick with my revair.
I love the RevAir only!
Dries my loose natural shoulder length hair straight in 7 minutes with no flat iron needed.
Revair!!! I have a Revair and I love it. Worth every penny!
yes, its an investment but worth it!
I definitely need to try the revair now! Thanks for such a detailed comparison
Tried both two days ago, the revair is easier to use and has better results.
Congrats on 100K sis!! Been a subbies since your were in the 30s!!
Thank you so much for the support!!❤️
Love the video sis🥰 and definitely the RevAir 💯 sleek shiny and straight with less arm movement always works for me.
Definitely revair it's more expensive but it gives a beautiful finish for thick natural hair
@@agoogleuser402 Oh, wow that's crazy! You originally commented 10 months ago. Is your hair doing better now?
@@tanayaberry This happened in the summer of 2021. I trimmed my hair twice a month until I grew out a new head of hair (instead of cutting it all off). It's back to Mid back length and healthy now. I think the problem with the revair is that the ends and bottom half of the hair get overheated while the roots of the hair are still wet. With a blow dryer, you can concentrate heat on the roots and save your ends.
I bought a dyson last week and LOVE it the revair interests me but I love using the diffuser to dry my roots (fine 3c/4a) and the concentrater to stretch my wash and go
yes, I do feel like the diffuser attachment on the dyson is very handy for us naturalistas!
@@CurlieCrys yes! I love you can also turn the heat on the dyson all the way off without holding the cool shot!
Revair for the win. I just got mine and love it. I still need to find my right settings to get it nice and sleek. Mine dried wavy but i love it. Its so much less work than a regular drier. Even though its heavy my arms weren’t tired.
Great video!! Loved the real time comparison. It’s the RevAir for me though! I’m still learning how to use mine for the best results.
Thanks for comparing both. Your hair is looking gorgeous
(I sold the old one to help pay for it 😊)
I am even MORE convinced to get a RevAir.
I agree I would get the Revair because of time management and also it seems to give you more length 🙌 👏👏👏💯
Yes to revair!
yasss!
Revair for the win! Less puffy and using little heat to lock moisture in!
Revair! And your hair is beautiful!
Hi Crysral, How long have you been using revair blow dryer? How is your hair?
I love my RevAir. Period!
I have them both...I use them depending on the style and look I want. Both are great investments to me.
The Revair side looks smoother, love that side
I still want the RevAir, and when I can afford it, I'm buying one.
yasss, make it a goal sis!
@CurlieCrys thanks for great comparison!
@@ezamis Thank you for the info. I'll check it out
I glad I came across this video. I was just thinking what one to get and than you popped up!
Well RevAir looks bomb. But I definitely think I need both; Dyson for travel and RevAir for home
Thanks for this video! I am on the fence about buying the Rev air; this video helped me make my decision. 😊👍🏾
I got my Dyson to diffuse my wash and goes after I come from under the hooded dryer. Haven’t tried it on a regular blow dry. I wanted the RevAir but I seldom stretch my hair. Glad to see the comparison.
Why use both a hooded dryer and blow dryer after ? That’s wayyyy too much heat . Why not let it air dry for a while then use one method only
@@It_Takes_Two_LTs Diffusing helps separate your curls afterwards. You don’t dry it all it way under the hooded dryer.
Hello 👋🏾 Question: should the vents in the machine stay covered ? I just bought one and new to this.
I am so glad I came across this. I keep breaking my comb attachments!
But how would the RevAir be for short hair? Because my dyson supersonic helps so much because my hair isn’t super long yet.
Literally hours drying your hair yet grateful you have it 😩
Revair hands down‼️
I think I agree!!
I noticed when I used the dyson with the comb attachment my hair was hot hot so I started using a brush. But still no heat damage!
The Rev is the win for me
I liked the Revair best. Like to see it used on shorter hair. The cost of both are outrages! Love your videos!💞
I'm with you CurlieCrys, I really like theRevair blow-dryer better. Thanks for the comparison.
I feel like the Dyson didn't get a fair shot with just the attachment. That Dyson is very powerful and also the technology doesn't damage your hair like a regular dryer.
Thanks for the great review! I really want to try this Rev-Air now!
I love my Revair! Well worth the money!
Off first glance revair gave nice results. I feel like you have 3c/4a type hair (correct me if I’m wrong), but do you think results would be similar with a more type 4 hair.
yes, I feel like the revair would be bomb on thicker hair as well. there's plenty videos using it on thicker hair types too!❤❤
I prefer Revair indeed 🥰🥰🥰
The thing is the RevAir seems like it's only useful for a blow out (though a slightly less frizzy/straighter one that the Dyson) while the Dyson is meant to be used for drying and styling. Maybe the design of the Revair makes it so it can do what many of the Dyson attachments do, just without the extra pieces.
i love your hair!
I love my RevAir and my dyson with the diffuser 👌🏽
How often do you use the RevAir to blow out your hair?
Revair seem to be the best overall. Just to continually combing through the hair not my cup a tea. I love the revair!!!!!
