Can we jus have a moment of silence for the way she gentle combed thru the hair? I mean... I haven't found a stylist that doesn't ripped thru my hair just trying to part or separate it. They are so rough... thats why I stopped even trying.

Jessica Freeman I definitely gave up on going to the salon (mainly because they don't appreciate my natural hair) and I learned how to do my hair like this and my hair GROWS. Then one day earlier this year, I decided to go back to my salon for a wash, DC, blow dry, and clip my ends as I was going into braids in the next few days.
HA! He blow dried my hair so rough, and used a normal blow dryer then s turbo dryer... left my hair straight like I had a press. By the time I came out of my braids, I realized that my hair had been heat damaged so bad. 🙄😪
For years I've done my own hair and clipped my ends. Now it was like going back a year. I cut all of my heat damaged ends and am going back to square 1.

Sabrina Parker Yes! Totally put me off...makes me want Tobe a hairstylist just to show them how it's done...never been back to a salon since my terrible experience. She just ripped my hair to shreds. Even tried to brush and detangle while it was extremely dry. Ugh!
I really appreciate how you take your time when you blow dry. a lot of stylists think its ok not detangle so long as your hair is straight after the blow dry, and people have the misconception that the silk press/flat ironing is where you get heat damage, but it's the blow dry for high heat and mechanical stress on the hair from the blow dryer that will give you the damage due to the stylist rushing and abusing your hair and the tool. Gentleness is key. This is an excellent video. thanks for sharing.

You are the real deal, miss!^^ What I love about your method is the minimal use of products on the client's hair. Digging that especially when I see many use up to 5 products for one hairstyle (not including shampoo and conditioner). With natural hair, I feel that many complicate the caring and upkeep of it. Much success for your business and of course more informative videos about caring for natural hair! Video request: rollerset/perm rods, styling options throughout the week for kinkier hair types.
You are really an awsome stylist. Yo can tell you know lots about hair by the way you take time to comb out each section. Most stylists dont do that at all. You have patience.

This is amazing to me. We need more stylists like this lady. I had an experience about 3 years ago where the stylist was so rough on each step and then when it came to flat ironing, she constantly banged my scalp with the iron. I don't know why I sat there and let her continue. Smh, maybe because I wasn't paying. But I endes up paying in pain later. Oh well, been doing my own hair since and no heat since then either. Blessings to you for those gentle hands!

I watch your videos over and over. Granted I don't have interests in these styles. But it's the fact that you know your craft is so amazing. Not many people who claim to "know" the mane actually know what they are doing.
Thank you so much for posting this video. My son has back length natural hair and it's difficult to dry his hair so I would just twist it while wet. After watching this I have confidence to do it now. I may need a bigger vent brush to achieve the results you got but I'm more confident now. Thank you!

I stopped going into the salon because when I told the stylist that there was no need for her to "man handle" my hair, I was asked if I was tender headed...so long story short...(i knw too late 😕) i decided I can rip my own hair out for free! You are amazing Ms. KiKi!
I really need to make an appointment with you. I never go to the salon, I wear wigs and weaves. I went in February, this young lady had me sit in her shop all day and then rushed my hair. I'm natural haven't permed in the last 3 years. First off she definitely didn't detangle my hair like this, she rushed my hair cause she had 3 clients after me. After my hair was done, I left the salon the wind hit it and that was the end of my hair. You couldn't even tell by the next day that I had even been to the shop. This young lady is like family. I was so disappointed. I need you to work some magic on this head.
Your truly God sent, you really are deeper than hair, I thanku fir showing how gentle you are with peoples hair. Your amazingly knowledge on your profession. I wonder where I trusted someone to do my hair know what she was doing, I don't wanna go back to that beauty parlor again unless I know the hair presser is present! My thick is no long thick I shedded alot this spring. It's summer now I don't press in the summer cause my hair doesn't hold strengthening very well cause I sweat in my scalp all over.
