- Hey everyone I’m back to show you how I blow dry 4c soft hair straight without causing any breakage or heat damage.

(1) 0:20 wide tooth comb to
Detangle
(2) 1:00 section & put product
(3) 1:21 stretch method then run brush through to see if you can get a smooth run through
(4) Then use wide tooth comb if there are still tangles
(5) Then blow dry using chase method & stretch method
(6) Repeat for each section!

4c hair is a complete challenge. I don't know what to do with it most times, so I just do what I know how to, which is throw it up in a bun/puff. Sometimes I do a cute little style, but I can't do hair for nothing. And for the life of me I can not braid no matter how hard I try. But I am not going back to relaxers ever. 🧡
This was me for YEARS. Girl put in some ugly struggle corn rows and try a lace front. Do senegalese twists or faux locs w crochet (I'm positive you can figure out plaits!). Buy some ponytails and slick it down with a good gel and put it up. Get you a kinky textured u part wig and a half wig, some cute headbands, and PLAY with it until you're comfortable with a couple styles. Then expand from there! I lived in puff purgatory for years. It's not a fun place to be. You just have to get out of your comfort zone and be ok with feeling silly at first. Also if course you better be deep conditioning and maintaining that moisture protein balance!!! DM me and I'll send you some tutorials and a book recommendation or two if you want. You deserve to enjoy your hair. 💛

Everytime I blow out my 4C Hair when blowing it out always makes such a damn mess in my bathroom. Its annoying...and its shedding not breakage

Do it over carpet so u can just vacuum it Super easy

I recommend if you do this use a concentration nozzle to get a more even blow out and to protect your hair from the extremely hot rods in the hair dryer

Thank you for the video. I think it would have been good for you to say what kind of product should be applied before the blow dry. I assumed that it was some kind of hydrating cream. So I sprayed some water on my hair, applied an hydrating cream and followed each of your steps and technique. It worked beautifully. I have a nice middle part bun and I'm on my way to get a massage. Love and hugs from Paris.

I agree, I usually use a little oil or spray and heat protectant, but my hair is 4a/4b; my sister in law is 4c so i want to make sure I’m treating her hair with care; she hasn’t got her hair straightened since middle school and she’s 23
What hair products do you use when you flat iron? Also what flat iron do you use? I tried different flat irons in the past, but its hard to find the right one that is good for my hair texture.
I am 4b-c. For the life of me I can’t get my hair nice weans sleek with the blow dryer let alon flare iron. I’m nervous to put damage so I don’t blow dry or flatiron more than ever 3 months. My hair is strand my back hair gets fairly silky but as soon as I hit the crown and front it still have a course texture then reverts first
Is your hair chemically treated at all? And are you using product when you blowdry?
My hair is the same way and I’ve never had any type of relax or chemicals in my hair that’s just the way it is🤷🏾♀️

Lakia Keely I like blow drying damp, almost dry hair because that way you don't have to be blow drying a long time therefore not using as much heat.

Lakia Keely if u put heat on dry hair it causes damage and breakage, this is because hair dryers are originally made to dry *wet* hair. Also blow drying makes the hair a little straighter so it will be easier once you go over it with a flat iron because you won’t have to go over it plenty times
U didn't include the name of the the blow dryer, the setting of the dryer, or the product u used before blow drying or even include the hair finished so we could see the end result. Why??? 🤷🏽🤦🏾

I think I have 4c hair. It looks kinky and frizzy when wet but as soon as I get it blown professionally it looks just like a silk press. If I have any heat damage it would be from blow drying in between styles.
Important to know: when getting a wash, blow out or flat iron please remember all hairstylists DO NOT how to do 4c hair. Especially if they are NOT BLACK and lack experience!! I’ve had hairstylists destroy my hair not knowing!!
They make SIMPLE mistakes EVERY naturalista knows you comb from ends to root not root to ends!!! And they look at me like I’m crazy when I explain that to them! It hurts more because they don’t know how to properly detangle 4c hair.
And I’m not talking about the curly “type 4” girls that can do wash and go’s and lay their hair down with water only. I’m talking REAL coarse and tangled hair!
It makes my hair mad crunchy when I blow dry so I’m trying to watch some videos so I’m not too crazy.
