Hi Lisa, I am completely in awe of your sewing skills! I find myself watching whole tutorials just to admire your talent! So far the best tip I have gained is the forceps! I make a lot of "ribbons" from fabric and they can be a nightmare to pull through. I'm about to order some from amazon. I've never made a teddy before, I've made clothes and bags but now I am a Grandma, I want to make things for the boys to keep and treasure. I'm going to attempt your floppy bunny. I hope you don't think I am rude or wrong but I feel the bunny could do with slightly fatter arms and legs. You're probably correct but I want to try and make them a little thicker but will obviously still use the method and size on pattern to attach the arms. 😊😊Would love to know what you think about this? Sending admiration from England.
This is just too adorable :) I'm not good with metric , but thinking it's time to buy a metric ruler. I hope to try this project. Thank you for all the time you put into it. We all appreciate it.
wao, this is so beautiful. From all the projects I've seen of the sewing machines pin cushions, this is the best. It's very delicate and superb taste. I'm suscribing to your channel right now. I love fine finish on all the projects. Please receive my warm regarrds from Lake Worth, FL
Jeez... what a pattern!! Full credit to you on creating this one Lisa. I've just created my first and I think it might be my last. Quite fiddly and very time consuming, although it does look beautiful 💕 Thank you for sharing your brilliant mind and expertise xx
I just want to share what I’m planning on for this beautiful pattern. I actually have 2 featherweight machines, one was my grandmas & the other was recently gifted to me. I actually have the original card table made specifically for the featherweight. It was used in the speak easy’s during prohibition. ( if there was a raid, they would pop out wooden cut out in the card table and pop the little featherweight in it to make it look like it was a sewing shop rather than an illegal bar). I’m going to do the little badge in a color that looks gold, (that little badge on the machine is gold/brass) first I will sew my initial before cutting out the badge and will attach it with the blanket stitch like you did but I’m going to put a bit of stuffing in it before closing it all the way up. That badge on my machine is just a little bit convex and I thinkit will look more like my machine. The other thing I’m going to do is add a black band around the sponge instead of the lace because the table I have is wood and the trim or frame of the table which is about 3 inches is painted black. Unfortunately I’ve woken up with a sore throat and in NZ any time you have any symptoms of flu you have to get tested and isolate until you get the results so I can get the felt I need until I get my results and they are negative. Such a bummer. I can’t wait to get out & get this beauty made.
What a magnificent project you have planned! So inspiring, I’m sure it will turn out perfect, I will be cheering you on! I hope you share a pic with me when you’re done! Thank you and stay safe! 😊🥰
hello, i just found you, wow wow wow how amazingly clever you are. I love pin cushions and would love an Eiffel tower pin cushion, could you please make one, i have subscribed and want to make your sewing machine and the mannequin, i’m off to buy some sponges 😊😊😊💖💖💖💖
This is the best sewing machine pincushion I’ve seen. I will have to put all my current WIPs aside and start on this one. I have a sewing machine music box about the same size. It would look great sitting next to this one in my craft room. So glad I have my forceps to use for this project. I think I will put a capital S on it to replicate the original Singer sewing machine logo. Thank you so much for all of your patterns.
Lisa Pay I must tell you in my opinion you are THE MOST CREATIVE ARTIST IN ALL OF THE YOU TUBERS. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful creative patterns.
Great video and such good instructions. I’m going to make mine in red for my cousin in Switzerland as she has just purchased a red sewing machine. This will go with the other presents I’m making for her. Thank you.
Greeting from Arizona USA! So Love the little sewing machine pin cushion! Going to make a few for my friends and sister> Thanks for the great pattern and video! 😊
The machine was surprisingly easy to turn out. Yes I'm finally making it. I feel I've buildnup enough skills to tackle this. Its kind of intimidating for a little thing. But it really wasn't bad once I started. I'll post it on FB when done. I'm probably gonna make a bunch.
Some of your video we can’t see the project because your hand was up too high 😢I 💞 this pin cushion and have always wanted one of these thank you so much for sharing your patterns with us! 🥰🥰🥰 Your video is the BEST!
Ummm u kept moving it so I couldn't see the push pin and the turning wheel all, the way, possibly due to the fact i use a tablet . But this is something I truly adore making. Such a very perfect item for the sewing room.
You are amazing. Thank you. This is a perfect gift for my secret sister at Christmas. I thoroughly enjoy all your tutorials, whether I make them or not. Thank you again for sharing your wonderful talent!
I Love your sewing machine cushion, I will make one for me and one of my sisters! Thank You very much for sharing your beautiful video Lisa. May God Bless You Always!
hi can you advise exactly what interfacing you used....so the heat and bond is one type and then the med weight interfacing do you use the pellon brand and if so what # of pellon
found those beautiful letters you suggest at my request but am having trouble size to fit on the project any more suggestion for that many thanks found all wrong size to fit please
This was the first time I came across your channel, & I was absolutely astounded to see your vintage sewing machine pincushion. I am a complete novice with sewing, & have mostly made layered skirts. I started to look at pin cushions about a week ago, because my little tomato pincushion was overcrowded with pins. In this past week, I have come across circles squares, animal figures, but the first one to really catch my attention, was your sewing machine model. My husbands family has many seamstresses, and even his mom who is in her 90’s, and doesn’t sew any more, I’m sure she will love such a personal gift. Actually, he has many siblings, and in-laws who would love it. Anyway, I will have to make one for myself. I can’t wait to get started. I don’t actually know any of the stitches you sewed by hand, so I will have to get busy practicing tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing. I will send you a picture of the first one I have accomplished. Wish me luck!! Thanks again, Kathy
I’m so glad you found me Kathleen, it was meant to be! You will be very popular with all your sewing family, I hope you enjoy it. I’m always here to help if you need it 🥰
