Edit: So WW3 happened in the comments to my response so i'm going to state my point here. I am not saying that the morbius meme is good or bad all i'm saying is people complaining and calling it dead or old or calling people names or bullying them are clowns who should stop complaining over something as trivial as a meme. Even so, the name is funny enough on its own to carry the joke format.
It sounds more like you can only get Chest Form in Scarlet and Violet, and Roaming Form in Pokemon Go (with potentially having the ability to send it to Scarlet and Violet via Home). After all, they mention, multiple times, that nobody has managed to catch a Roaming Form in Paldea.

It says in the video that you can't get Gimmighoul in Go other than transferring from Scarlet and Violet
@@_Koyomi_ No it doesn't. In fact it says you can't transfer from ScarVio to Go. What it says is that you'll be able to get Roaming Form in Go in 2023 once linking functionality is added.
I think the reason no one has caught one b4 is because the only way to catch one is to actually collect all 999 coins

I think Roaming form won't be catchable in Scarlet/Violet, and only obtainable through GO. Like Meltan, when you connect the games it unlocks the form, and then you transfer it through HOME.

I hope this game is as creative and fascinating as the marketing campaign implies. I'm really impressed with this whole roll out, there's something so unique about Pokémon that allows them to do these little reveals and I find it all so charming.

@@Sweetroll_Wolfie according to leaks we're only getting 103 new Pokemon, we won't reach 1040 but 1008 (and at least 1010 after DLC).

I want Gimmighoul (roaming form) to have a ridiculous high speed stat making him one the fastest pokemon.

I think the way they are setting it up, is you can get chest form in scarlet and violet, and the roaming is exclusive to go

The way I was understanding it, it sounds like you'll see both in Scarlet/Violet, but only be able to catch the chest form. My prediction is if you do the link (maybe directly between games or using Pokemon Home), and have caught the chest form, then you'll be given the roaming form in Pokemon Go, like a gift or event.
You get the walking one from just liking your game to home
I'd bet you can either catch the roaming form after giving the chest 1k (which then evolves it, and that evolution can sort of entice roaming form), or once we are on our upgraded cycle-mon. It says it "runs away", but surely a gliding motocycle dragon from the ancient past can catch up to it.

@@ultmewtwo Right because people totally didn't bitch to high heaven about Meltan being only from GO, so TPC definitely couldn't have possibly learned a lesson and made it catchable in game...

This better not lead to another "what, you guys don't have phones?" situation because Gimmighoul looks really cute and cool, and I know someone who absolutely loves ghost-types and poison-types and she's really getting excited for this wave of new ghost-types and poison-types.
Man who loves poison type? One of the lamest typings. Ghastly line rules, though.
The fine print actually explains that GO is not a requirement to get Gimmighoul in S/V. It's already available in the wild-at least the Chest Form is. The reverse, however, is the case. You need S/V if you wish to get the Roaming Form in GO. Gimmighoul's gimmick is basically to drive S/V and Switch sales among the GO-focused playerbase.
My understanding is the roaming form will run before get close enough to catch and will only be able to be caught in go
I always enjoy being subbed to your channel cause you don't usually reveal spoilers without a warning. And any spoilers or even potential spoilers come with that warning so we can choose to watch or not.

It’s weird but also really cool actually hearing a voice for the professors! We NEED voice acting!
As much as I would LOVE to see this, I think that most Nintendo games minimize voice acting because of the sheer number of languages the game is translated into. Like writing the dialogue is one thing, but hiring the actors to record all of the dialogue for a massive game like this in at least a dozen languages is a huuuuge undertaking.
I agree with you though! I loved hearing the professor’s voice, as well as Iono in her partner reveal. That’s just my theory as to why they haven’t done voice acting.

I love all the music you use in the background and outro. It's awesome! Just so you know you have been the greatest resource for Pokemon games on the internet besides official sites of course. However, you cover things with in gameplay that they do not so yeah you're the best.

His Roaming form is the one to get. Chest form will simply be Cofagrigus 2.0 - which is Ok but We've seen it before.

Gimmighoul's roaming form reminds me of the mountain pokemon in swsh (the small pokemon around the giant one) .

Ceruledge, Greavard, and now Gimmighoul, along with the rumors of Fuecoco being a Fire/Ghost type evolution, there are a lot of new ghost types introduced so far, I hope there is a lot more variety of other types as well

I understood the message from serebii that once you link GO and SV that you can now get G in GO and then you have to move it from GO to SV. So maybe G is like meltan.
Btw G is gimmeghoul. I just didn’t want to type it wrong multiple times.
But you can't transfer pokemon between the games.

The games are about the future and the past. The past aspect makes sense for more ghost pokemon than usual.

I think that in ScVi, we can ONLY get the Chest Form. However, we need to collect coins from the Roaming Form to get the Chest Form to evolve.
The only way to catch the Roaming Form will be in GO.
I think you only get Roaming form in PoGo and Chest in SV. Though we have seen Roaming form in the selfie teaser and it looked WAY bigger than we see it in game here.

it seems more like you can collect coins in Scarlet/Violet from the roaming form (that you can't catch in paldea) in order to get a Gimmighoul (roaming) in GO and later transfer it back to Scarlet/Violet.
so chest form is exclusive to Scarlet/Violet and roaming form is expulsive to GO.
so in steps:
1. encounter roaming Gimmighoul in Scarlet/Violet
2. they flee (you can't catch them)
3. collect the coins the leave behind
4. transfer the coins to Pokémon Go
5. with enough coins you can encounter Gimmighoul in it's roaming form
6. through Home you can transfer it to Scarlet/Violet
its been so long since we last heard willow talk. i think the last time was when meltan and melmetal were revealed.
also i think gimmighoul will work like aegislash, where chest form is more defensive, with low speed, and offense stats, but really good defense stats. and roaming form might have high speed and offense stats, but had defenses
I wonder if theres a way to swap the forms and/or if theres any major stat difference between tge 2 forms (i assume not having the chest makes it less bulky but faster

I think you'll find roaming in S&V, but can only catch one in GO & transfer over when Home is updated.

The coin collection thing sounds a lot like Zygarde and the cells. It would be funny if you collect all 999 gold coins and it turns into a "treasure horde" held item that can only be put on Gimmighoul that transforms it into a golden giant or something crazy with increased stats.

I think it will be you get the chest form in the games but when they connect you can get the roaming form and you can transfer it to the Home or the games to get both forms
It seems like a lot of pokemon are becoming ghost types in this region it's pretty cool
I feel that the fable kinda explains how coinboi could work.
I think you'll find that Pokemon at various place in the game and they'll drop coins and you'll collect them (999 coins) and you'll probably get a treasure/evolution form from it.
Since it's an open world they'll probably make us hunt things (like in BOTW). They actually did so the DLC of Sw/Sh by adding diglets to find and with the wisps in Pokemon Legends : Arceus.

To me it sounds like you can only get chest form in Scarlet/violet, and when connectivity is available between the games roaming form can be captured in Go and sent to scarlet/violet.

Interesting, but it says it runs from trainers right? But in the customization preview it was leaked early in the corner right? It didn't seem to be running which gives me hope you can catch the roaming aswell.
I think seeing as is in a chest in chest form it must have a high or above average defense and roaming form will be opposite it being faster but less defense
