    The bird you are hearing is named a Hermit Thrush. The sound always reminds me of being in the mountains in the West!

    I grew up in So Oregon and like you, forest fires were not always a “thing”, now it’s a bit of a nightmare. Wishing you guys the best!

      We used to have 10,000 manned fire lookout towers all over the country all with people with their hands on a telephone ready to call in smoke jumpers at the first trace of smoke. But they are mostly all gone. Today the Forest Service would first want to investigate the fire to determine if its natural or man caused, and if they should fight it or not. Firefighting is just not as much of a priority as it used to be.

    Question for you guys. I commented a similar thing to RR. I know it’s hot but why not wear long pants not just because of the overgrowth but also to protect against the poison plants and ticks? I always hike in long pants even on high heat and humidity. Another good video and happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️

      Great question! For me, it is simply about preference, and by the end Bobby agreed, shorts are just easier/cooler. In the rain they drive faster and a trail like the PCT is so well-maintained!

    That over grown section. Perhaps they could bring in some goats. They would take care of this

    I hear that the majority of the Super Thanks doesn't go to the content creator. Would you prefer other methods like Venmo?

    • @bryrye4545
      @bryrye4545 2 месяца назад

      It would be much better if you went to Birdcalls website: riedelgallery.com/pacific-crest-trail-book
      You would be directly paying/giving/helping them out in the most direct way possible. 😊
