Very solid starter video for those getting into kayak fishing. For those reading comments I 100% agree with getting a seat cushion it will make your time on the water so much better.
Really great advice! 👏 Thanks for sharing all the must-have essentials for a first year of fishing! I appreciate you for offering such meaningful content!
I love to fish out of my kayak. I wish that I would have bought one that have foot pedal rather than just a paddle. Thanks for your tips, great advice!
Just absolutely brilliant video content today you nailed it in all levels! I think the best talk is about the fish finder advice I really think that this is the bottom line should be all our take on graphs for beginners you don’t need it yet learn everything else which is more important! The time on the water, on your kayak and use your eyes more explore the things around you and when you feel comfortable about it than invest in one! Jay nice way to give us a budget option and a high end choice, but invest in a pdf your life is priceless so protect it with the best choice love it! Thank you Jay bring it sir tight lines take care and God bless!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video brother! Sad I agree that spending time on the water is the most important part of learning the setup and getting comfortable.
First off thank you for all your content. The dad jokes are great, my son and I get a good laugh out of them. I am wanting to purchase my own Autopilot and I have found some on FB Market Place. Looking at the costs that they are listed at vs buying new I dont know if I should just purchase new or take the risk of preowned. Do you have a check list or specific things you look for when buying a used Auto pilot?
@@davidbluschke6696 thanks for the love! Glad the videos have been helpful! Always take the kayak out for a spin on the water. That way you can Test out the motor and kayak hull for leaks. Look at the deck for cracks and if the hull looks brittle as if it’s dried out, stay away. Honestly, I would walk away from any autopilot over $3k. There’s so many on the used market that finding out shouldn’t be an issue. Now, if you find out that hasn’t been registered and you can register the warranty under your name, I’d pay more for that.
I looked for used, I actually just bought a 3waters Big Fish 105 because they had a sale for $600 shipped no tax. I really hope this kayak is a one and done! Now I know this new version has a high back seat, should I go with a pfd that goes down my back?
Thank you for the great information I am looking for a kayak just can't afford a good kayak and don't want to buy one that's going good for me and wear i am going to be fishing
Everything Jay said is true. Great solid information, stick to the basics. Do yourself a favor and follow Jay’s introduction to kayak fishing, Don’t overwhelm yourself with all the stuff. #Savethemoney and enjoy.. 😎🤙💪💯🔥🎣🪚✌🏻

What do I have to do to be tournament ready

Just dropped my phone this past month while kayaking 💀💀💀 now to buy a phone tether
My main concern with trying a kayak is stability and being able to sit down all day.
100% man. In regards to stability, all kayaks are not equal and some seats are better than others.
I bought my first kayak used a 13ft pedal drive kayak on a jet ski trailer and gear for 1500 bucks
Thank you for the great information I am looking for a kayak just can't afford a good kayak and don't want to buy one that's going good for me and wear i am going to be fishing
It’s a process man but there’s definitely options out there! Thanks for watching!
Thank you
Less intense at 0.75 speed.
Am I too intense? Honest question, it’s hard to evaluate oneself lol
Best Beginer kayak is a used 13 or 15 boat with a 9.9 to 20hp
