I was worried wh n I first found this channel that it would just be one of those low effort, cosmetic kinda things, but every video I've seen from them has been impressive and there's almost no way, (other than a salvaged title Mayne) that you would know that these cars have had major work done.
Great craftsmanship as usual. Just a nod to the camerawork, music and editing, just as good. The Cosmo is a beautiful car that doesn't really get the recognition it deserves, it's always about the engine but the body is a classic.
I remain in total awe of how you can knit this total shed of a car back together. I'd not heard of the Cosmo before and never realised just what a pretty thing it is. Well worth the effort.
Thanks for the video. It is truly a joy to be able to watch a master craftsman at work. You and your brothers have assembled quite a team. Not to mention assembling quite a shop. They say tools can make the man, and you have quite an array of tools and I am glad to see you always adding to and upgrading. But the true test is knowing how to use those tools. You keep showing us how to do the fabrication of parts, and it is truly amazing. The most amazing thing is how you have passed your skills on to Ryan. We see him do all these amazing things. And see him LOVINGLY make and weld parts in so it looks like the original. And we know that his dedication to detail came from you. We appreciate that you all make these videos that allow us to come into your shop and see how a master craftsman works. You have taught Ryan and now us how things should be done. THANK YOU!!!
I like the forced face Steve put on when using the welding helmet "You mere mortals, this is a waste of time" 🤣 Insane work as usual, literally refabricating. And this isn't even as bad as these cars usually get either, I have 2 ae86's and that's not flexing when they're so badly rusted nobody else wanted them, and both of them combined don't even come close to this Cosmos. People with commitment issues throw rare JDM's in the bin for nothing.
I love seeing how the car is made up to give it the structural strength 💪 i know one thing steve its going to be strong 💪 as a new one time you get those parts welded into it...its just so fascinating to watch you and Ryan do you work i love it ..always will be my favorite channel of all time..
One of these days I would love a tour of all the tools you use and how they work as well as various things that help you hold items in place (like those block things that hold metal panels on while you weld), it's very interesting!
Fantastic craftsmanship as always with ever improving video and editing. Really telling the story of the rebuild. It shouldn’t be too long until you get up to 200k subscribers. Keep up the good work
This is a very complex area to repair, necessitating a lot of hand fabrication work to recreate the complex shapes involved. Truly, a real pleasure to watch a master craftsman at work. Keep up the great work! 👍🔥👍
Truly beautiful craftsmanship, and a pleasure to watch!! It never get's boring. Specially in these current times, where most 'repair' jobs seem to consist of simply replacing everything with cheap, inferior parts and fewer and fewer people are able to develop true skills anymore.
Great stuff again boys.....The shape of the Cosmo was always going to a challenge when making the panels, but if anyone can do it you guys can!....Keep up the good work, looking forward to more on this!...💪💪👍👍
A joy to watch as always. What these guys do, mostly with a selection of hammers and anvils takes some believing. I'd just wind up with a twisted and battered piece of tin.
Amazing as always, I am a hobbyist welder and looking at the videos here with all this knowledge, has made me further regret getting rid of some of the cars in my formative years as unworkable, two Manta A's particularly!
Absolutely brilliant work nice job dude , wish I’d had taken up a profession like this I think I would have enjoyed it it’s rewarding seeing your hard work come together to 👍
When will we see a car actually finished? I've being watching you avidly for the past month, but still can't see one and like to see the end result. Great fabrication with such a brilliant finish! Please don't take the question the wrong way, I'm just impatient lol. Great videos!
Oh nice! If you are stuck on something, let me know. I have the L10A Cosmo parts catalog here and I know Japanese Market Rotaries better than anyone else, especially after translating the workshop manual for the 20B Cosmo and wiring diagrams for the Spirit R.
It's astonishing how things that look so ugly and impossible change when you clean up the areas and break down the repairs required into manageable sections. I'm not suggesting that it makes things easy, but it shows how your skills can make the seemingly impossible a practical proposition. Thanks again and best wishes.
Am I mistaken or were you using some different technics there...with the bead roller? Have you been watching "Cosmo" restoration videos from down under?
Just a comment on the editing style: to be honest I found it a little busy, the rapid flipping between camera angles and the numerous in out zooms got a little distracting in the end without really adding much to the understanding of what was going on. It certainly wasn't bad in any sense, it just seemed like the older videos were more relaxed.
I know it a huge task but wouldn't it be a good idea to remove outer panels on the front section entirely ? As they're welded I feel there could be more hidden stuff underneath.
This is pure fabrication. To reproduce these panels to such high quality is a skill not many can boast. Fantastic as always and thank you.
Surgical precision, without your dedication this car could never have been restored, its going to be a show stopper when you have finished it
I was worried wh n I first found this channel that it would just be one of those low effort, cosmetic kinda things, but every video I've seen from them has been impressive and there's almost no way, (other than a salvaged title Mayne) that you would know that these cars have had major work done.
My compliments on your continued good taste in background music! Thank you. It sure makes for a pleasant viewing experience!
That car ended up in the best possible place to restore it.🎉
Great fabrication Steve and great camera work Ryan!
Great craftsmanship as usual. Just a nod to the camerawork, music and editing, just as good.
The Cosmo is a beautiful car that doesn't really get the recognition it deserves, it's always about the engine but the body is a classic.
Nice work and the patience that you have put into the professional way you go about your work is heart warming.
I remain in total awe of how you can knit this total shed of a car back together. I'd not heard of the Cosmo before and never realised just what a pretty thing it is. Well worth the effort.
Metal origami. The Cosmo restoration is my favourite to date😊
unbelievable what you can make.
I hope we end the Cosmo series with a drive.
Old habits are hard to break......yes to the helmet😎👍
Incredible fabrication and welding skills
Brilliant work and fantastic channel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧

fantastic to watch a true craftsman at work can't for the next one well done Steve
You are a true master at your craft. I'm always impressed by you. Thanks for the great videos.
Some of your best, creative and skilled work Steve, without doubt....A joy to watch....😏😏😀🇬🇧
Another skilful job, I'm really looking forward to seeing all the great work that's to come in 2024
I like the forced face Steve put on when using the welding helmet "You mere mortals, this is a waste of time" 🤣

What you guys are able to fabricate from a plain sheet of metal and a few very basic tools! It's just amazing!
And next to nothing left of car to copy!
i am absolutely blown away with your craftsmanship! i wish i knew someone in Ontario Canada with the same type of skils.
Love seeing this come together
You are in your element here. Great facility in visualising how to de/reconstruct this tricky stuff. And oozing calm and cool with it.
A total magician. Incredible!!!!
You're a master, Steve.. 😮
Thanks for your nice content. A pleasure to watch.
Another great one Steve. Keep them coming!
Fair play, great work guys.
I love seeing how the car is made up to give it the structural strength 💪 i know one thing steve its going to be strong 💪 as a new one time you get those parts welded into it...its just so fascinating to watch you and Ryan do you work i love it ..always will be my favorite channel of all time..
Awesome video. Mind blowing skill and great music. 👌🏻
Quality tradesman repair.
Ayup Ryan /Steve looking forward to the fabrication restoration on this rare car 👍🏻😉
Amazing fabrication chaps!!
One of these days I would love a tour of all the tools you use and how they work as well as various things that help you hold items in place (like those block things that hold metal panels on while you weld), it's very interesting!
great work guys.
Fab work Steve and Ryan
Fantastic craftsmanship as always with ever improving video and editing. Really telling the story of the rebuild. It shouldn’t be too long until you get up to 200k subscribers. Keep up the good work
Had no idea these were so rare! I think this is the build I'm most looking forward to seeing more of. Superb craftsmanship being shown.
You guys are awesome. Thanks for sharing your experience with the rest of us great job
Master at work
I'm loving this build can't wait to see it completed
This is a very complex area to repair, necessitating a lot of hand fabrication work to recreate the complex shapes involved. Truly, a real pleasure to watch a master craftsman at work.
Keep up the great work! 👍🔥👍
Absolutely amazing. Thank you.
Steve & Ryan 😊 it’s just magical watching you both bend up pieces of metal and make car panels 👍🏻 love that old flat bottom rail line 🤣
It's certainly a challenge, im sure you will tackle it no problem
Amazing
These cars were engineered to rust with all those multiple layers of water catching panels. Good work on piecing this thing back together.
Brilliant fabrication. 👍
You guys are the best, hats off to you.......
That panel around the 13:00 mark was brilliantly done. A pleasure to watch you work.
Well done. As usual.
Such quality, and what I really like is the use of simple hand tools
This is more than handcraft, it is nothing less than magic. Im am really flabbergasted.
Lovely work as usual!👌👌👌
love this project. So many details. So many hard work😔😔🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great work!
Truly beautiful craftsmanship, and a pleasure to watch!! It never get's boring. Specially in these current times, where most 'repair' jobs seem to consist of simply replacing everything with cheap, inferior parts and fewer and fewer people are able to develop true skills anymore.
Really enjoyed it thank you
Me encanta vuestro trabajo! Gracias por salvar este cosmo.
Great job!
Great stuff again boys.....The shape of the Cosmo was always going to a challenge when making the panels, but if anyone can do it you guys can!....Keep up the good work, looking forward to more on this!...💪💪👍👍
great work as usual steve keep it up
Fantastic video

once again the miracle is accomplished before our amazed eyes
Another great episode and it was nice to see the welding helmet making a rare appearance
I love the 4th wall "cameraman" perspective rather than the fixed camera really stepped up the game. Did y'all hire a person?
That was me (Ryan) as a bit of a trial. Only for this video though :) thank you :)
When will we see a car actually finished? I've being watching you avidly for the past month, but still can't see one and like to see the end result. Great fabrication with such a brilliant finish! Please don't take the question the wrong way, I'm just impatient lol. Great videos!
I love how CAD (cardboard aided design) turns into precise replacement panels ..... 😉
Amazing.....
Thank you very mach for your careflly restoring our honorable automobile 😂
wow u got your work cut out for u there. , but a very worthy project , an iconic car , you have certainly got my attention now
Metal art 👌
This is a beautiful art form, pure and simple. I'm even becoming oblivious to the awful music!
Someone is going all Christopher Nolan with the filming and editing!
wow steve !!!
Helmet suites you sir!!

Best series keep it orginal. And show step by step repair.
That looks fiddly. You should do two of everything and sell em as a cosmo rust kit 🤫
I keep looking at the back thinking it’s a Chevette 😂
Nice work as allways... What's the matter with that orange BMW 3.0? any videos on that?
It's astonishing how things that look so ugly and impossible change when you clean up the areas and break down the repairs required into manageable sections. 😍😍😍
Very cool series😊👍 But is the background music nessesary?
Yes 1100 Ryan, but is it known how many is left?.. 😂
Such a Great job Your doing!
But, PLEASE, Steve...
START USING EAR/Hearing Protection!! 👍 🙏
Magic! Is there another function to the wing vents other than letting water into that cavity?
🤣🤣
How thick are these patch panels (in mms)?
💰👍👍
Am I mistaken or were you using some different technics there...with the bead roller?

You do fantastic work, but please get some good safety glasses.
Ryan, I hope you have kids (or plan to have some). They are easier to make than those panels. 😅
I think if I sent you guys a tub of rust you could make a car out of it.🇬🇧👍🍻🍻
He told me 6 months . I told him no chance. just saying like haha
