@Julie GC Nah, they fuck up the most basic things. Lack of basic functions such as split screen and native dual app integration, lack of interoperability with other platforms, lack of function customization to suit user's usage.
Yes, it can make calls and send messages, amazing fundamentals.
The fact is that they have been slacking big time on iOS development and deliberately left out the most fundamental functionalities to make their device only interoperable with their own.
Just like how they're going to mess up the IP15 USB C port by enforcing MFI restrictions on it just to make bucks out of it, it sucks to be an apple user these days when all apple does is remove and restrict functionality on their devices :)

@@HSGG_ as someone who owns both the 14 pro max and s23 ultra I will have to disagree with you. I’ve never used any of those extra features that comes with owning a Samsung like s pen or even split screen. They’re useless to the majority and are only important to the 1% which is you. Being an apple user is actually great you have way better 3rd party app support, better battery , better build quality and better customer support. All things android manufacturers fail to do, if 1 apple device gets an update they all get an update unlike android were updates are all over the place. iPhones masters features whereas android gives you a bunch of useless garbage. Who in their right mind is actually going to use dex? Your battery swells up after a year of use and I know this because it happened to me and multiple other people I know. Video quality on androids is pure garbage compared to iPhones and that is a fact. How is apple the best selling smartphone company and they don’t even sell budget phones like all these android manufacturers do? Android left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths over the years with their inconsistent software and cost cutting ways.

I really be trying hard not to use this phone and stick to my 14PM, mainly because of homekit. Before I know it, I've spent the whole day not even thinking abouty iPhone. Idk what trickery Samsung does with their screens but man it's just gorgeous. The entire device is very smooth. My 14PM lags here and there, this doesn't. The camera system is the most powerful and versatile there is. One UI being built for large screens is amazing. The battery life is beyond great. This phone is the goat

I have long said if I could have Nova and Android’s notification/quick settings on iOS i would have my dream phone. Nova’s options for customizing Home Screen UX is stellar and makes iOS looks like a phone designed for children.
The best solution apple could implement is a “power user mode.” Throw up some big warning about how modifying certain settings may have unintended effects. But give us the choice to activate a good lock mode, so to speak, and let users show you how much better iOS could be. I still prefer using most apps on iOS and feel like they’re more stable and issues are more rapidly addressed than their android counterparts, but if it weren’t for iMessage and iCloud iPhoto’s I would never have left my Note10+. I would just be using this new Ultra phone. Easy.

This is largely due to the s23 ultra having a consistent 120hz display while the 14 Pro Max (this is my current phone) stays at 60hz most of the time.
Yes, ios has promotion but it only actually reaches 120hz when you scroll really fast (like in wikipedia or long google searches) or when select apps enable it (which is very rare).
Whereas the s23 ultra (and literally every other android flagship out now) keeps it consistent at 120hz.
Before buying my 14 pro max, I came from the POCO X3 Pro which had a 120hz screen. I kept it turned on all the time and it was so jarring to me once I used my iPhone. If you have an iphone 14PM and a flagship android phone, enable the 120hz in the android and then use a screen refresh rate monitor to see for yourself. 60hz for iphone and 120hz for android flagship

If you enable developer options you can turn the animations down to .5 seconds and it makes everything feel even more snappy,
Also if you ever wanted to try gestures, they're great with android and one ui. Feel super snappy and swiping on the side of the screen to go back is so nice.
Also adaptive battery let's you set which apps you want to keep from sleeping, but also let's you manually put apps into deep sleep, where they will never run in the background unless you open them and are using them.
On multitasking, you can replace a computer with your phone, all you need is a USB hub, monitor and keyboard. The laptops they give us at work suck, using my phone I can get my work done faster and I'm also still on my phone. Win win.

@@samanthabarker6907 Sadly in the USA, people (mostly teenagers), get bullied if they dont own an iphone hence the green bubble thing. This topic in todays generation is very complicated so kids try to not get excluded from what they think its "normal and cool". Its more a cultural thing that does not happen everywhere else (maybe Canada is similar tho im not sure). Here in Latin America is somewhat similar, but not bullying level. Is more like having an iPhone as a sign of "Status" for most people. As per messaging we use Whatsapp so we couldnt care less about imessage, same thing happens in Europe for example, iPhone owners indeed use Whatsapp over imessage and Android is more present too as per poblation %.
Long story short, in general theres a stigma about using Android in the USA that apple obviously take advantage of it and keep encouraging people to use their ecosystem and nothing else, convincing that theres nothing better and that their wellbeing or life quality will depend on it

Keep in mind that you don't need to stretch your hand either if you implement one handed mode. It'll make the screen smaller while you type or swype with one hand and then you can revert it right back to normal size. Just go into your universal search and type it in. You'll be able to find it from there.

I did test an S23U before deciding to keep the Pixel but Samsung still struggles with shutter lag and if you have kids or pets it's kind of a deal breaker. You'll just get blurry photos and miss precious moments.
Once Gcam is available you should test it out and report back if photos are better on the Samsung.

      @marcochavane3124 Год назад

@@Dalton_Parker I think it's an easier transition for someone coming from IOS. Pixels UI is a little more curated and concise.
Samsung is far more granular with customization. Especially if you start using Samsung Good Lock (if you haven't downloaded it yet I highly recommend it). Bixby Routines is also an extremely powerful automation tool.
I have had both and gone back and forth between them and IOS over the years.
IOS gets boring over time. Feels like Apple puts up bumper guards to keep you between the lines they think are better for your experience. It's camera system is not bad but it's just okay.
Samsung UI is powerful and tweakable. There is a head spinning amount of baked in features and tools. But over time it can feel a little too busy. They have ads in the stock UI which can be a turn off and the camera system will disappoint with inconsistent results.
Pixel UI in my opinion strikes a nice balance between both. It's not as robust as Samsung with tweaks but it still offers far more customization and features than IOS does.
You also get many exclusive features that help simplify your life like the superior Voice Assistant, Pixel, baked in Spam and call screening, Hold For Me, real time translation features, class leading accessibility offers like helping visually impaired folks take good selfies, real time speech to text transcription, and arguably the best camera system.

normally i never buy phones above the 300 dollar range but when i saw the S23 Ultra, noticed the specs and what it can do. i had to have it, the S23 ultra gives so much more and you have weeks of searching, testing and still there is more too it. i am a phone gamer and normally would use it for high end games but when using the camera, i fell in love with the sharpness of the pictures. The 100x zoom also helps quiet alot when i am outside and see some beautifull birds in the distance, when looking at the screen it looks blurry but after i snapped the picture, it is super sharp. This phone has it all for everyone, vlogging/streaming/ pictures/ gaming or casual netflix and chill, this one has everything you can wish for.
The nice part even is for having any kinds of backgrounds ( even videos) and the battery stays cool, when other phones easy heats up. The S23 Ultra can keep anything running, about the battery life i still need to see in the long run but from the time i have it, i am amazed by what this phone has to offer even it cost me around 1 800 dollars

Just a few suggestions to improve your experience. Because for some reason, some things are not on by default. You can turn on gestures and the gesture bar which is like on the iphone, but better, because you can swipe on either side to go back, anywhere. Then, i'd usually turn off edge panels, and the samsung wallet thing where you swipe up on the home screen, because they are useless. Also, i'd change what the button on the side does, so double tapping is google pay, and holding gives you the turning off options. Also, get rid of bixby forever, and replace it with google assistant. And, i hope you already know this, but set the display to 1440p 120hz.

I switched to Iphone back in 2014 with the launch of the iphone 6s, I was a store manager for sprint and i was a samsung / android nerd and had no knowledge on apple's IOS, which was an issue for answering customer questions. So I made the full switch and stayed until this year within the apple eco system, that was until the release of the S23 ultra. I was helping a customer set their S23 ultra up and i couldn't help but just be impressed, the display and the phone were just satisfying to use and it made me miss it. So last night i made the switch and bought myself the S23 ultra and the galaxy watch 5. The customization and ease of use in android is unbeatable, very quickly i had my phone exactly how I've always wanted it. The ability to actually multitask on this phone compared to the iphone (which because of limitations of the design of the operating system it does not truly multitask) is so satisfying. As long as the battery life holds up and is the same as my iphone 13 pro max or better, I will forever be a samsung nerd. This phone literally is near perfection, I need to use it more long term and utilize the S pen a bit more, but so far so good.

I was originally an Android user, dating back to the original Motorola Droid, I didn't pick up an iPhone until the iPhone 5, and I've had phones from each on and off. If you want more features and better app selection, go get an Android. If you want a phone that will do what 90% of what average people actually do, and you want it to work flawlessly everytime, get an Apple.
My other personal experience, Apple software and hardware are just superior quality. Other than my Motorola Droid X2, I've never had an Android phone last. Everytime I've been forced to upgrade when it breaks. Apple on the other hand, other than a cracked screen which was entirely my own fault, i've never had an iPhone which has ever crashed, broken, or failed in any way. I have always upgraded my iPhones when I felt like I wanted a new phone.

PSA if you wanna switch to galaxy: You guys, I have had an iPhone until last year. My first phone was an iPhone. Now I have an S22, I swear it’s not that big of a deal to people to switch and if there is someone mentioning it it’s because they’re young, have an ego, or extremely biased (over a phone which is funny, a phone shouldn’t hold status). Also, I became comfortable with the phone real fast, it really has a lot that iPhone has cause iPhone usually ends up using Samsung features. Most of the stuff you don’t like, just don’t use, or you can turn it off. AND you can download launchers to completely change the interface. If you LOVE simple download Niagara Launcher, it’s literally 8 most used apps and a scrolling bar on the side. People make a big deal over this type of stuff and it’s pure comical and sad. I think the blue vs. green bubble is elementary as hell and pathetic in my opinion. OH AND YOU CAN REACT TO TEXTS NOW WITH EMOJIS LIKE IPHONES, YOU GET TO CHOOSE WHICH MESSAGING FORM YOU WANNA USE, AND MESSAGES BY GOOGLE ALLOWS EMOJI REACTIONS. ANNNNND I HAVE A NIECE WHO FACETIMES ME, IT GOES TO MY GOOGLE MEET, SO SHE CAN FT ME AND IF YOU VIDEO CALL SOMEONE WITH AN IPHONE, YOU CAN FROM THE ACTUAL PHONE.

I’ve been going back and forth before back when the note 1 when it first released in I believe 2011 era while having iPhone 4s, then note 3 and iPhone 5&5s, as well as the note 5 and I have both 6 & 6s and that’s it. So the last Samsung phone that I had was the note 5 and I thought I’ll be just forever stick to my iPhone for the next 5+ years. And yeah I did. But then this time around I’ll make a switch to hopefully my permanent phone company ( Samsung ) for this 23 ultra. The reason I’m going with this ultra is because I just love jotting down notes, learn things, writing stuff, for educational purposes, etc.. it’s actually useful to have the pen, since you can take a picture with your pen while doing a long selfie, or just placing your device in front of you to take a pictures. Seeing this 23 ultra have the same ability that the previous notes has, It truly is such a blast. And I feel like home going back to Samsung. Yes. I may not have the apple logo, but as I mature apple logo isn’t what I honestly care anymore. What’s the point on being socially inclined because you have an iPhone. I’ve been convicted too myself, since the past couple years I’ve been longing to go back but, this thing hinders me to do just that. This time around I have all the trigger to jump back knowing the reliability, screen freezes randomly, is not existing any longer. So i guess for all those individual like myself. Try think twice and give it a shot. I think you won’t regret it. Get it while you can, especially during those Best Buy sales. DONT BUY PHONE FOR ITS STATUS, BUY IT BECAUSE YOU NEED AND WANT IT
