Sweet Home is a survival horror RPG developed by Capcom for the Famicom. It is based on the Japanese horror film of the same name. The game is sometimes perceived as the original survival horror game, and was a prototype of the Resident Evil series.

Love seeing this TAS. As well as the birth of Resident Evil and the horror survival genre

If I saw the melting scene in this game when I was younger, I probably would have never touched video games again.

@@123TauruZ321 The "meltning" scene. It looks much better in the "Sweet Home" movie from 1989, that tells similar story with the same main characters ;)

The game that inspired resident evil
I always thought the line about the wall at 16:57 was foreshadowing the final area being (sort of) behind it or just a bad translation, not that you could just punch a hole in it to skip the boulder trap. Here I was thinking I mastered this game.
I hope someone does a new TAS of this game. I recently saw a speedrun with a crazy glitch and they beat in like 27min!

weird to think the fastest route is the best ending, I wonder if you can save time by losing a few characters.
I'm not an expert on the game, but I don't think it's possible. There's a cutscene that plays when characters die, you lose valuable inventory space, and you can't cover as much of the map. Also getting characters to die also takes a bit of time, whether it's from a trap or an enemy

The character is Flandre Scarlet. As for where the picture is from, probably somewhere in pixiv. Good luck if you want to find it though.
