It’s actually the “quarantine “ look 2020
Beautiful I wish I had my hair highlighted like that it's wonderful.
This is actually why I’m here lmao
Ahahaha
She’s right, super low maintenance lmao
Bruh 2022
"I think this is a trend that will go into 2020"
Quarantine: *yes*
Literally here, bored, about to dye my hair at home.
She predicted the e-girl look
Actually, it was already a trend in the early 2000's so...
@@summa1749 I personally would describe scene as being a more glam version of emo, although it can be argued that it was separate from emo. It wasn't a music genre, although music was a big part of it (crunk rap, metalcore, post-hardcore, indie electro, pop punk, emo, etc). It was largely a fashion thing. Honestly, a lot of what I see now in pop culture is pretty much an updated version of scene. Its influence is strong in a lot of things today. The scene of today is more urban/trap based, whereas the scene of then had more of an emo foundation, if you get me. Also, it had a big internet presence too (if you're not aware of it, internet at the time wasn't as engrossing and ubiquitous as it is now). Like the "e-boy"/"e-girl" thing of now, it was considered more of a "counterculture" thing, an "anti" thing. Now it's Instagram and TikTok, but back then the scene kids were associated with Myspace...
(Edited for typos)
Alternative scenes have always been a thing, and even if they may not be relevant rn, there are people still active in those subcultures! They are not all the same!
Ok girl. I’ve been in the business for 15 years and this is hands down some of the best color work I’ve seen on RUclips 👏
Never colored her hair before?!! Omg her natural color is GORGEOUS! Also love the end result and how real you keep it!
Thanks so much for watching!
Love both of yall's channels!
Sam Vay Right?! Looks awesome- but untouched hair! I’d buy her hair! 😂😂😂😂😂
I can’t leave my hair alone.
@@JamieDana that is so wonderful I wish I could have my hair highlighted summer colour tone Sunkissed blonde.
Hi sam lol 😅
I looooove your page!!! I am a new stylist (assisted for 2.5 years) have been behind the chair for about 6 months and you have helped me become soooo much better I can’t tell you enough how helpful your page has been!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!!
😱 Did you were reading my mind?? I’ve spend a few days trying to find information about this technique, and now you did a video?!! God really loves me ❤️
So thrilled to hear you loved this and that it came at the right time. Thanks for watching!
Getting older (53) and am going to the salon for chocolate brown. Thinking of something fun for the summer and I love this!
Jamie, you are amazing! Thank you for continuing to be so generous with all of us!
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear you loved it.
I started foiling backwards like you and although it took a little getting used to it’s been not only giving me amazing results but I’m moving faster, love your channel and your content 😊💕
That makes me so happy to hear! Thanks so much for watching!
I want to try it but I'm scared lol
I want to skip on some parts but I can't because I just love to listen to her voice!! I've never imagined how a hair coloring tutorial would be so soothing to watch and to hear. Love this vid, I wanna try this so I can glow up this quarantine!!
Hey Jamie! I'm apprenticing at a salon in the Nortern Toronto area using primarily Davines colour and haircare, but we do use some L'Oreal lines as well and some Redken toners too. Something that I've learned from a colourist with the Shades EQ toners is that when you run your hands through the hair enough times, it lathers like a shampoo, and it shows less of those tones. So once applied, just leave it on the hair and the toner will do its work :)
That is my favorite toner to use: neutral and pearl together .. or if they want white: pearl and ash
Thanks for sharing. Thanks for watching!
Literally so happy I found your channel. I’m currently a cosmetology student at Paul Mitchell. I’ve learned so much but I want more color/blonde education so thank you for this channel!!! 😭💛🧡
Hey Abby McElroy I'm so happy to hear you've learned so much from my videos! Thank you so much for watching.
Personal, I'm too nervous to put 30 volume on those front hairs, and I usually do them last. Just from my own personal experience on my own head, ive had really bad breakage before, and I don't want that to happen to my clients. Buttttt, my fears aside I really enjoyed your video, free education is ALWAYS appreciated!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to show us your technique!!❤️
I looooooove this look! Also love how you work! You’re “relaxed” but so thought out with your foil placement which make them blend so well!!
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear you loved it!
Tried this technique on one of my client today and the outcome was stunning 😍
That was so labor intensive, at least it looked so from here. But the result was stunning. Perfect balayage. You always do beautiful work, Jamie.
Obsessed with this!! It’s so beautiful! I love the blonde streaks right in the front! Amazing work! You inspire me!
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear you loved it.
I like how the blonde money peace brightened her face up. Congratulations!!!!
Brad Mondo always talks about the “money piece”! Teach me!
Good job! Looks beautiful! You can tell the girl loves it!
Been needing something like this, money pieces intimidate me lol, the color was beautiful!
Love how informative your videos are! Personally, I would never use 30 volume (even with olaplex) around the hairline. If you use small enough sections, you really need no more than 10 volume... I always find those hairs (virgin or colored) are always more fragile... but that's just me!
Your end result is beautiful 💜
Thanks for watching!
This was the exact technique I was looking for! I need to touch up my daughter/model's Money Piece Area.....PERFECT!
Her natural color is gorgeous!! Love your techniques
So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
Yas!! I used the money piece last year and I loved it!! I made mine silver!!!!
So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
I'm still so glad I found you here!! I love your coloring techniques. I'm trying to reteach myself to move to a booth

I love it- and i don't care if someone find it not good looking.
I personally love your videos I’m learning so much and it’s making me want to go back into the salon ( Working ) now .. so exciting and very informative !!!!
This was so impressive, you are a hair magician
I'm not crazy how much it contrasts from the original color..its a look.
This is the best video about how to do highlits perfectly! Thank you so much❤️❤️❤️
I’m a new cosmetologist - and I’ve learned so much from you! Any time I interested in a new technique I go straight to your channel to see if you have a video. I feel like our styles are very similar ; making it very easy for me to learn from you! Thank you for sharing your wisdom💕

I can’t think of her name but the X-men lady with the blonde piece, this kinda similar to that!! You could call it the X men balayage!!
Thank you!

Thank you so much Stephanie!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! You’re the best. !
So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
This turned out so good, complete transformation 💖
Your videos have been so helpful and given me so much inspiration to get back to doing more hair. Could you maybe show some videos in the future on how you transition blondes to darker brown balayage? You do beautiful work
I'll keep that in mind for a future video! Thanks for watching!
Yes please and i still waitting to seeing. Xx
Also the redken 9 in the back of the head blended through full length gave the natural hair a lifted tone and created so much dimension 🤌🤌🤌🤌
Lol I have been wanting my hair like this for forever man
This has been really popular in England for a few years now I personally think it looks really terrible like a tiger with only 1 stripe.
The way you did it actually looked much better then what I've seen at least
I agree. She made it look good. It does give me 90s vibes
I would love to do this with my curly hair ❤️❤️❤️
Maybe instead of blond in the front use a silver/grey because I have grey hair and I’d rather embrace it now that ignore it to be a surprise for later
Ur work!! Omg amazing. These girls dont know how lucky they r to have their hair done by a passionate professional like u. U r so. Passionate abt ur work...love love love it. Lots of love from pakistan... 😘😘😘

So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
What a fabulous result!!!!
I'm thrilled to hear you loved this! Thanks for watching!
EXCELLENT! Ok, so, a large amount of my clients are ladies who are now sick of colouring their grey month after month and who want to transition to going to their natural grey... (ya right). Would you suggest this application for clients who are 75% grey who are currently having their hair coloured to a level 5, 6 or 7. I’ve been transitioning from lower levels to lighter over the last few months but have said “we should probably start talking about putting highlights through to help lighten it up further.” But they are still relatively darker levels. This transition from really dark to natural grey is not easy...
not her predicting the future 💕
Kelly Clarkson & Christina Aguilera technically started this first but chunkier in the early 2000’s! So glad it’s back 🙌🏻
Wow ! You did a fantastic job with this the thumbnail doesn’t do it justice 😍❤️
the process is clean and the result is good! Nice 😊
Getting those tiny hairs around the hairline makes the biggest difference 😍
For sure! Thanks for watching!
Looks awesome popping money pieces ty
I'm thrilled to her you loved this. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely gorgeous! I agree, this is going to be the look!!
So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
Love all your videos Jamie you’re a truly inspiration for me.
xoxo from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
I'm watching that in November 2021😍
Hi Jamie! You said that there wasn't any right or wrong when it comes to appy olaplex bond 2. As far as I know from their course, applying it before the color makes the cuticle close and the color last significantly less! I lf you know something that I don't, it would be cool to know it.
How would you do this same process with about 30% gray peppering? Would you root shadow with Demi permanent before or after? If before, would you set the shadow and then go through with the lightener so as to have more seem less blending? Thanks for the advice in advance! :) love your channel!
Just curious: what's the purpose of weaving the top section if you aren't leaving any hair out 🤔?
El inor SAME question I was asking myself... Where is the logic??
It diffuses the color at the scalp a bit. I’ve been a stylist for 30+ years. Eeeeek.
The foil in this case is more to incubate the lightener for maximum lift
Me encanta, que trabajo más limpio 🌹💖
I need that shampoo bowl and chair! Manufacturer? Thank you, love your content!!
Love the new shadow root after glossing!
So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
Your detailing
You are awesome
Oy my...this is just marvelous!!!! I love it!!!🥰👍
Lovely colour , great tip thanks x
So thrilled to hear you loved this. Thanks for watching!
Looks insanely good!
Beautiful look.
This is so beautiful. Your foli placement is amazing.
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear you loved it.
Hi Jamie,
Enjoy watching your videos - informative and helpful.
Would you recommend doing this if one has thinning in the front area of the head? However hair is always parted on the side to cover up the thinning in the middle area? The money piece will also be a dark burgundy colour on dark brown hair.
That was a wonderful technique! You are amazing Jamie!
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear you loved it.
Thank you i needed this advice
Amazing as usual! 😊😉. Such a great job and love how you did the back and sides! I’m gonna try that in the salon. Also good to see a detailed way of doing baby hairs.. ugh I struggle with that. 🤦🏼♀️. But mainly cuz I’m scared they will break off lol.
LOVE THIS!! I love that you’re INTENTIONAL with your clients!! ❤️ yes, I love you’re transparent with us!! Thank you for all your vids!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Great video! I just found you and I'm so glad I did!!!

We have the same shampoo bowls. How often do you hit that handle and spray water everywhere?😄
I love watching you do color. So organized and tidy.
