Hey, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU! After going to salon a couple of times, with pictures, detailed description of what I want, I always ended disappointed and somehow blamed myself for not explaining enough. I just followed your tutorial, with no previous experience, and it turned out amazing. I'm so glad that you shared this technique because this is exactly what it takes to get that perfectly blended money piece.
Followed this tutorial but left a bit more hair out in-between for it to blend as my hair is dark and I thought it would be to much of a contrast it came out really good IV had some compliments asking what hair stylist done it saved me a ton of money thank you
@@Beigebunnyhunny hey I used a tail comb took out a couple thick sections the rest thin some sections I back combed at the root i had a really nice finish but when I went to do my roots a few months after I took big sections then I ended up going all over blonde after and I'm now pink 😂 to start do small bits you can always add and take your time I am in the UK and used Jerome Russel 40 bleach but my hair was level 2 and had previous black dye at the time
@@deedeesodelicious0 Oh thank you so much for the reply!! I plan to mainly back comb because I want subtle, that way if I mess up it won’t be terrible to fix. I’m in the US but will definitely look for that brand. Thank you again love 🥰

😅 I’m so glad this video was helpful 🫶🏽 if you like on demand education like this but with even more information, join me inside Hair B&B University ❤️
Yo I did this exact technique on my best friend and it turned out so cute! One the easiest tutorials to follow thank you so much! I struggled a lot in cosmo school but this really helped me a ton ❤️
Omg,, his is by far my favorite technique of money piece! I’m always terrified about doing it in this technique really makes me not scared anymore! Thank you so much I can’t wait to use it!🎉🎉
HI! Love this technique but I can't take my eyes of your money piece either!! It's sooo pretty, can you please tell me what color was used on your hair? It suits you a lot! :) xx
This tehnique is amazing, thank you for sharing it with us. how about a tutorial on how to maintain it after a few weeks? or a touch up? I appreciate your help
I love this technique! How would you combine this money piece technique with a balayage? I'm trying to visualize the sectioning at the top of the head but I'm not sure!
Do the lightener before, that way you aren't placing bleach on top of fresh color. The root grow out that the lightener doesn't cover will be so minimal it'll just blend with your natural growout.
I’ve been dying to do this with my purple hair to add some dimension, and it’s so clear how you explained everything.. so tomorrow might be the day!! 😁
I've been wanting to get this done, but i wanted to try myself. I'm so glad I found your channel! Thanks for sharing! Question: how to I do maintenance?
I know a lot of times when lightening hair u do roots last, and i noticed you used a mannequin and i was wondering if doing on a person would be the same or if you should do roots first then move onto roots, or since it's a small amount of hair and you are using foils is it going to lift evenly?
I don’t really have a set way to part my hair. Sometimes in the middle, sometimes on one side and sometimes on the other side. What would you recommend?
I want to color my hair ash brown, and put make the money piece style, what should i do first color it with ash brown first and bleach or bleach the money piece style first then color everything? Thanks!! I love it anyway❤
Regarding the teasy light on the 7th foil. My friend wants to go brown from blonde. I suggested a money piece so the shock isnt too hard on her. My plan is a full head of low light foils weaved and slices of her blonde btw. I was then going to do a 3 to 5 inch drop root on the blonde. How would a drop root work on that teasy light? Would i just saturate the tease?
I'm assuming a drop root is a shadow root? I usually apply the shadow root toner about a half inch on the root and tone the rest. if you are coloring the root at the same time of the highlight, then yes, I would saturate the tease with color and apply the lightener to the foil. Hope this helps!
Just the kind of video I was looking for ! Going to do this to my hair since I don’t want a big change. Question can you had a gloss all over hair after doing your money piece or add gloss before the money piece?
What if i have curtain bangs, and my hair is dyed i have a level 3 roots and level 6 mids and ends and my hair underneath is copper😂. I havent done it yet im scared itll look harsh, should i even do it at all? My bangs come down to my jaw barely
I want to try this but I don’t know if my hair will lift evenly since I have dyed it before and it has different undertones throughout, is there anything I can do for this?
@@dez123tovar Got it! When doing touch ups on tiny weaves, it's impossible to pick up the same sections. Usually new ones are applied and some are left rooted. Sometimes you can add lowlight between to break up lines.
The hair that you leave out to no put bleach, can I add a dark rich color to those pieces into its own foil since I have an ugly brass tone currently as my base?
I have a child with cerebral palsy and she gets so frustrated cause she can’t talk so she pulls out her hair and now she has a big blo bald spot? We cut it sort but she still continues to pull it out. Any tips on what I should do? So lost I need help?
Great question! I would definitely do the Money Piece differently utilizing the center of your side part as my guide. Hope that makes sense.I’ll be making a new video soon coving this topic.
Face framing simply means framing the face. They can come in natural or bold pieces. The money piece is usually bold right on the hairline in the fringe area, and frames the face. I would always show a picture of hair you like to your stylist so they have a good visual of what you are wanting.
Would it be fine if I do this on my virgin hair roots? Or would I have to dye the roots a few minutes after? Love your video thank you for the step by step ! ❤️
If I naturally part my hair on the side, should I still stick to ur instructions?
Yes and no. It’s up to you but I made a tutorial for side parts. Watch this and decide what’s best for you. ruclips.net/video/nO8HwIvxofM/видео.html

Hey, can we use 20vol for low light & high lights???
Great money peiece!! How much does that cost at salon?
I want to color my hair ash brown, and put make the money piece style, what should i do first color it with ash brown first and bleach or bleach the money piece style first then color everything? Thanks!! I love it anyway❤
This is a process that you could do all at the same time in salon and finish with a toner.
I used 10 volume with my toner and it actually did slightly lift my natural dark blonde hair! Is this abnormal?
Regarding the teasy light on the 7th foil. My friend wants to go brown from blonde. I suggested a money piece so the shock isnt too hard on her. Just the kind of video I was looking for ! Going to do this to my hair since I don’t want a big change. Question can you had a gloss all over hair after doing your money piece or add gloss before the money piece?
glosses are usually toners or demi permanents. They are used for a number of reasons and can be used before and after a lightening service.
Would you cover grays first before going in and hilighting?
Great question! I personally would do this all at the same time. I would apply the highlights and then do the roots while the foils are processing.
Ultimately it’s up to you. Doing two different processes will give more control but the process above will save you time!
