Maame is rocking it!!!!! Love this series. I’m very conscious of the presence I create around me, I always tell myself, I’d rather fellowship with the Holy Spirit than listen to secular music. Everything you guys have said are so on point. Thank you so much!!!!!
The scriptures my sister read are correct and biblical however my sister shouldn't forget the context and who that scripture was written to. Those verses that my sister read are concerning the church when the church assembles on the first day of the week. Acts 20:7. It devours the use of instrumental music. So Paul in his letters to the ephesians and the colossians were addressing how church worship is to be conducted. In our private capacity as individuals we are not restricted from circular music. The emphasis is on how worship should be conducted
As you rightly said, Paul mentioned this to the early church and it is worth noting for us as Christians. According to our submission in the video, we never said it’s a sin or abomination to listen to secular music but rather we compared based on experiences, the benefits or the actions you would take when you listen to gospel music and when you listen to secular music, so that others can then probably assess if these results are true and relatable or not, then as a Christian, you can then choose what to listen to based on the results you want to see in your life.
