Great to see a landscape photographer being up front and honest about how they create their images, so many youtubers wouldn't have the balls to show how they've added something to the scene. Love the mono versions of the images you captured, great work. :)
If a painter added a tree no one would give a second thought. May I say though, when your long exposures turn black and white, they just become magical - absolutely love them.
Surely, surely your going to talk! I laughed my chunks off when your dragged that tree in at the end! Brilliant!! Still, shake you talked 😆 very enjoyable watch. Hehehehe TIMBER!
Excellent images. The sight of you dragging that tree into the water made me chuckle, but when it fell over at the end it actually made me spill my tea!! Keep up the good work.
Ha, you got me. I knew I didn't see the tree when you first arrived but thought maybe you had zoomed past it. Very good Gary. You didn't add in post. That was good. Nice images.
This is my very first post to your channel. I am in awe that you have said it all in a 5 minute video using less than 100 words. the journey to the location,, scene contemplation, composition camera settings , , and a fantastic climax, the scene preparation. A very well narrated clip, instructive, insightful and so so very inspiring. Loved the blooper !
Gary it is a pleasure to watch your videos. You have fun with it and learn new things all the time. This one was a lot of fun, keep going in your own authentic way as always.
Wonderful photo and video and ... Gary you're great! The secret revealed and the last scene are a great lesson in photography with the desire to have fun.
Predawn, dawn, daylight.... Car park, trail, photo spot, Nature audio, Video, stills, drone footage. Short and sweet perhaps, but you worked your toolbox!
I like your ingenuity. When I saw the video title I thought it was the lone tree, but that is Buttermere. Not that I have photographed that tree either. Never known you so quiet. Your tree planting, with passers by thing you were barking mad. The images proved your efforts were not in vein. Most of us would have leafed it alone, that tree. Marvellous.
Loved this Gary well done on the improvisation your honesty is truly heartwarming and shows what you can do to get that photo you want, stunning images as always look forward to your next venture 👍
I literally laughed out loud when you dragged the tree into the lake... brilliant!! I think you should carry it around on top of your van and use it in future photoshoots 😂
My initial thoughts were exactly what you said, what an awesome job he did of putting that tree there, then I thought Mali is going to be having words with you LOL. But I must admit I was in stitches at the end. Fantastic as always thank you for sharing.
Very creative. I know it’s all personal taste, but I think the tree gets in the way in the shots where it breaks the horizon. The higher perspective shots are lovely. Personally I don’t care how the tree got there. You are the photographer, so you do what you need to in order to create your image.
What I would like to know though Gary is did you have that tree in the back of your van and you just pretended to find it on the shore line? If so will said tree maybe be making an appearance in future videos? 😂😂
Just brilliant all round video, great photography and humour. Was wandering why the boots ha ha, afraid I am too old to add a tree to my camera bag next time I go out😂👍
Thank you for your very useful videos. I was wondering if you could suggest a couple of options for circular polarising filter and polarising filter. Thank you.
It's all about making a image. Beautiful! When you asked the question, I naturally thought you dragged it out. I didn't think post production at all. I should have because you are the master!
Think Gary, think! You need one million more ideas (and final scenes) such as this one to achieve your target of 20 million subscribers! It's possible ...
The last 5 seconds was the highlight of today's video. A perfect ending to a day of photographing the Lone Tree.
Cheers 👍👍

Fantastic video, love the attention on the sounds in the first part, very immersive. A very enjoyable watch.
Surely, surely your going to talk! I laughed my chunks off when your dragged that tree in at the end! Brilliant!! Still, shake you talked 😆 very enjoyable watch. Hehehehe TIMBER!
Making the most of everything around you and why not very beautiful photos

When you said you added the tree that isn’t what I envisioned. Great way to add interest to an image.
The end result is super Gary. 👍👍
Once again Class. Improvisation is the key.
Cheers Harry 👍👍
Your gonna start a movement with those antics .
If it makes it better then go for it and I think you did a brilliant job Gary 👌🏼

Very good was trying to work out what you did. Make use of the tools around you love it.
When i was a kid, i really liked Arthur Ransome's books. I believe most of them took place on Derventwater.
