Ah, busy seems to be the default mode these days, doesn't it? It was a pleasure to watch your in-depth comparative dissection of these two tobacco blends. Sampling some of the popular on-line vendors, the Escudo runs around $4 - $4.50 higher than the Peterson and each was generally priced within less than a dollar of each other across the vendors. There was one exception where the Peterson was a closer to $5 more expensive than the Escudo although the Escudo was in line with the other vendors. Escudo was mostly out of stock or backordered while Peterson was readily available - a case of name recognition through online reviews or actually favored by more VaPer lovers? In choosing to do the comparison at your desk, you chose wisely, my friend. Too much to cover standing outside in any weather. 👍🏼 lol I loved your chuckle when you noted that the Escudo was 'scientifically manufactured.' Wouldn't we love to see the science that is the basis for that claim? 😉Once again, thanks for the very worthwhile review and the history that you shared. I hope that in the past month since your post you have seen some autumn weather. It has been only a few days now that we've felt like autumn had arrived. Once Ian had stopped influencing our weather, it turned cooler and the mornings started having an autumnal chill. Be well, Corey, and keep things awesome - peace

Hola Corey my friend, a really great video about both of this legendary tobaccos 👌🏻. I haven't had the chance to try the Escudo yet because you can't buy it in Europe, although it's made here. It is crazy. For this reason I can speak only about the Peterson'' De Luxe Navy Rolls. This is one of my favourite tobaccos, which I have every time in my cellar. I am lucky to have the original Dunhill too, which I have smoked since the beginning about 40 years. I the German Community I think last year we had a group of 10 friends which made a comparison between nearly all VaPer Roll Cakes in the German market. They include the Escudo too and the conclusion of all of them was that all tobaccos are the same, because all of them are produced from the Scandinavian Group. I can't believe this is right. Specifically related to the Escudo. I think this one is a tobacco in its own right. From its appearance alone it looks the largest discs of all and from its tobacco regions. But like I said, I didn't smoke it. Very good work Corey. During the video I have smoked in your Meerschaumpipe the Peterson😉. It is a very good smoker. Thank you so much again🤗. That is strange that to German community found that the Caper roll coins were all the same...clearly these two are not the same tobaccos. Glad your enjoying the meerschaum pipe! Take care and be well! Corey
Just came across this video. Been smoking consistently for about a year and on and off for 10. I think you described Escudo NDL perfectly. I love the way it smokes consistently and not only does the flavor maintain throughout as you said, i find the last third of the bowl to be the best part (as long as it is smoked at the goldy locks moisture content). Too much moisture and the flavor seems to be subtle. Too little moisture and it still tastes great, but with a little harshness. With the perfect moisture content, the smoke is pillowy and consistently pleasant down to the ashes. It has always been a strange one for me, as it does not immediately jump out as being anything out of this world. But once it becomes a familiar flavor something about it makes me miss it when I don't have it.
Hello my friend! Escudo, as you've mentioned, can be a very unpredictable character....but when you get it just right, there's nothing like it. It is one of my favorite tobaccos, not appreciated fully by novice smokers I think! Thanks for stopping by, taking the time, and for your good comment! Take care and be well! Corey

Hi Corey! I think that is why people look at my videos or yours. People want subjective. I say we should judge anything by our taste and just tell people. Sadly I never had these tobaccos! Great video!! Silviu 🤝
Hi Corey, great video as always. I love the Study, though I do depend on you and Mark to take me to new places 🙂. I had just discovered Cope's Escudo and fell in love with it, then they went out of business and Escudo was no more🙁. When A&C resurrected it I tried it and was very disappointed, it just didn't match up. Many years later I retried it and judged it for it's own merits and found it a pleasant smoke. The Dunhill DLNR I found richer and deeper in it's smoke. I have not tried the Peterson since they assumed the Dunhill mantle. In this genre I find the Robert McConnell Highgate quite good and for a sweeter taste the Davidiff Medallion Flake. Take care my friend, have a great weekend 👍. Best Regards, William

I’m not sure where you shop but escudo has always been almost 40% cheaper than DNR’s. That’s always been a big selling point for escudo. Pre Vid, when things were available you’d pay $12 for Escudo and $18-20 for DNR. Now who knows what’s what. Enjoy the smokes.

I have many types of books, many are history as I do have a graduate degree in ancient and classical history.

Well done brother!!!!
Thank you!

Hi Corey!
I think that is why people look at my videos or yours. People want subjective. I say we should judge anything by our taste and just tell people.
Sadly I never had these tobaccos!
Great video!!
Silviu 🤝
Well...I try to be objective so others can make their own decisions.
Hope you can give these tobaccos a try someday!
Take care,
Corey
Best Regards,
William
Hello William, good to hear from you!
And thank you for your interesting comments about your own experience.
I really like the Davidoff MF myself, but it has a core of Cavendish...so is that cheating?
Not sure....take care....
Corey
Yes it's cheating but we won't tell anyone 😉
Thanks Corey .. Just curious .. what's you favourite VaPer?
That my friend is a good question!
There are so many....
But my favorite pure VaPers would perhaps be...SG Cabbie's Mixture and Three Nuns...which is now a VaBur....but still delicious.
...but I really like the slightly sweetened, by Cavendish, the Davidoff Flake Medallions.
Thanks for taking the time.
Take care,
Corey
Corey this was very interesting i love vapers and they have that. Peppery taste on the toung. Its Delicious with that hay. Grassy notes i tend to sip kinda slow try to enhance all the flavors thanks for doing this comparison between the two i have two tins of each in my cellar under the Dunhill name. I havnt tried the peterson blends yet. But there great vapers corey but i still love my burleys too thanks f o r doing this i know those two meershums pipes smoked them well too happy smokes my friend😀👋🔥💨☕
Best regards peter the smoove piper
Hello Peter, hope you're well!
Glad you enjoyed....thanks for taking the time.
And hope you enjoy these good baccys when you break them out!
Take care,
Corey
Great review Corey! Definitely looks like Cut is different and the escudo has left some stems. Yet to try them both. I need to revisit escudo and try the Peterson 😊 happy smokes my friend
Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed....and seems that you agree.
...yeah, cut is different and so is the tobacco leaf.
Similar tobaccos yet different!
Hope you get to try the Peterson.
Thanks for taking the time.
Take care and be well!
Corey
I find Escudo smoother and more mellow than Peterson Navy Rolls whilst the latter can be fruitier…a lot depends on their respective vintage. Good to hear your comprehensive comparison Corey…best wishes my friend.
Hello John, hope you're well!
I think you're quite right about these baccys, and yes, it depends on their age.
Many tobaccos can change drastically over time.
Thanks for stopping by...
Take care,
Corey
P.S. Yesterday I played the album "The Queen is Dead" by the Smiths in honor!
Great review !
Thank you so much!
Glad you found it helpful!
And thanks for taking the time!

Corey
i heard from an insider that they're both exactly the same tobacco, same manufacturer just a different tin & branding. but i'm still gonna kill 45 mins listening to your side-by-side comparison. haha
okay, so it is actually different after all. I'm surprised. good video thanks. thumbs up! subbed.
Greetings and thanks for stopping by!
I'm not convinced they are the same,
..,.but I'm not an expert either.
It is an interesting thought.
Take care,
Corey
Haha....you shouldn't take my word for it.
Perhaps you were right, especially if you have it from an insider.
Thanks for watching!
Glad you enjoyed it and subbed!

What is your favorite VaPer ?
That is a good question!
And I will give you the same answer I gave to Shirt Sleeves: there are so many....
But my favorite pure VaPers would perhaps be...SG Cabbie's Mixture and Three Nuns...which is now a VaBur....but still delicious.
...but I really like the slightly sweetened, by Cavendish, the Davidoff Flake Medallions.

@@portlandpipesmoker8497 Thank you and be well !
Wessex Burley Slice and Solani Aged Burley Flake both recently changed their mixture and Now Cobblestone Hiking all produced and distributed by K&K maybe a different casing / toping pretty much the exact same leaf
Yes..very interesting....so many changes!
Thanks for taking the time and for the good comment.
Take care and be well!
Corey
To me the main differences are the names and the tin art…
✌️
Haha...well...its not always to sense the subtleties.

Corey thanks for sharing🍭🐓👶
Thank you....and thanks for stopping by!

A lot of Chomsky books :)
Absolutely!

Wow, change is a constant. Escudo now is way cheaper than peterson’s rolls
Change is constant....that's for sure!
Thanks for taking the time!
Take care,
Corey
I’m not sure where you shop but escudo has always been almost 40% cheaper than DNR’s. That’s always been a big selling point for escudo. Pre Vid, when things were available you’d pay $12 for Escudo and $18-20 for DNR. Now who knows what’s what. Enjoy the smokes.
Hello Eric, good to hear from you!
Yes...I think you're correct on that, but I rarely keep up with prices because they vary so much.
But that's a good point...thank you!
Take care,
Corey

Greetings Lars, so good to hear from you!
Hope you're well...and thanks for taking the time.

I know that look. There's a woman behind your troubles. Been there. Stay strong, firm, never apologize for being a male. That demands respect. They are delusional today and forget we built this world they live in.
No sure what you're talking about....
But thanks for stopping by.
