- Silver certificates from 1957 and 1935 are common, however they will still sell for 1.5-2x face value on Ebay. In the video we discuss the difference between silver certificates and federal reserve notes. Silver certificates have a specific measurement of silver associated with them. The Federal reserve notes do not. The large size one dollar silver certificates will be worth a lot more than the small size.

Nothing a star note just means it was damaged and fixed back to great condition

@@MindyMouse no it's market value. If someone pays more than it's worth then they are foolish and have no knowledge of the currency they're purchasing.

@@brettsurrett4596 Except that it isn't just market value. It does be dependent on the buyer because everybody looks for something different. Fancy serial numbers, In perfections, etc. Those things won't change the market value at its face. So yes, many other factors are involved.
