I don't understand why Nintendo is so scared of creating complex storylines. It clearly worked for Elden Ring. Perhaps the main story doesn't need to be complex, yet the World could definitly be. No it must be! For a World as big as botw and totk the devs should have given it more love, more detail. Besides, as long as you market your game properly, LIKE ELDEN RING, it shouldn't be a problem to sell well. I mean Nintendo brought us some fire trailers but they came kinda late. The trailers were bombastic and actionfilled but at the end totk only delivered mid content, busywork, no true feeling of acomplishment because everything is so easy or too anoying to bother. Like if I ever see another tutorial or survival dungeon, I'm gonna lose it. Elden Rings dungeons felt so natural and big. Totks shrines, altough with very cool music that kinda give me yugioh vibes(if you know you know) and cool design, felt way too easy and samey. Obviously the same mistake botw did but is pardoned because it was their first try. The puzzles were so easy that I could just look at them and solve them in under 5 seconds. You have way too much freedom overall and by that ruining every puzzle if there even were any. You could just use the meta flying device that uses parts that don't expire when used and by that you already beat the game. Look, I want to be gatekept,I want to solve puzzles as they were intended and I want progresively stronger and more varied enemies. I want an amazing story like Skyward sword altough some parts of it were kinda odd, but it definitly went into the right direction. Atleast it did for me. Like why can't we have something that looks like Twilight Princess, has the soundtrack and cinematic story of Skyward sword and themes that rival Majoras Mask? Like who's gonna stop you my guys?

If a Zelda game did world traversal like Elden Ring and embeded dungeons into the world like Elden Ring did with its legacy dungeons, GOTY. I hope Nintendo learns from Elden Ring because From Software is the undisputed king of game design at the moment.
Oh my days...Elden Ring was actually the truest Zelda game out of all the Zelda's (especially TotK, because I despise TotK and never want see something close to it again and and the Zonai suck and are uniteresting, Rauru is some weird OC...). Yeah but honestly the devs lost touch. Just reached the end of your video and I must say it. That was pretty Based. Never kneel to the hype and the Fanboys.
BTW... there's a video showing the sliders to make Link without a mod. It's kinda BotW Link and is obviously using the vanilla character creator so it's not a 1-to-1 match (I would *love* to get a mod that adds some of Link's iconic outfits to the game without adding Link entirely), but it's kind of amazing.

THEY JUST NEEDED TO MAKE THE SKY RED AFTER HYRULE CASTLE ;-; actually add what we were shown in the cutscene, a fucking army. Instead we come out of hyrule castle and everyone is like "that was crazy, anyways, lets go exploring!"

Yes, they absolutely did, theres direct quotes from Miyazaki. I didn't feel the need to show it because i didnt want the whole thing to get to bogged down with convoluted facts. If anything i wanted to show the quote about hardship but opted not to in the end.

I have tried and tried and tried to love this game but I just cannot get into it. Thirty hours I've played now and just can't get into it. Its very much like Zelda but it's just a bit too bleak for me. I love BOTW and TOTK for the light and shade within the game. One minute you can be exploring a vast, unforgivable dessert. The next you'll be in a calm and cheery village. Elden Ring just feels a bit too one note in its world.
