Bought my Staccato P back in January 2023. I have about 1200 rounds through it. Out of the 20+ handguns I own, it is without a doubt the best shooting gun and most expensive. I also installed a Trijicon SRO. It made a world of a difference. Have fun with it, your going to love.
I've got about a thousand rounds through my P with the steel frame. I removed the magwell so it doesn't print as much when I carry it. There has never been even a hint of a hiccup with the pistol thus far, and you're right - it wants to run way, way fast. I traded four other firearms (that I weren't shooting hardly at all) for the Staccato, and it was a fantastic decision. Strongly recommend one for anyone who is interested.
I’m having a lotta trouble picking, on one hand i have my folks and friends telling me that i should start small with a glock or something, but I love the idea of a flat shooting pistol with near to flawless performance. Any thoughts? As a owner
Sold my Prodigy. Picking up the P tomorrow. Idk I didn't buy it in the 1st place. To all those debating Prodigy or Staccato...... Staccato all day. Go big or go home. Don't do like me, I wish I just cried and bought once.... But better late than never. Can't wait!
I just got a Staccato P and took it to the range. Hitting a steel target (torso sized) at 70 yards offhand w/iron sights a breeze. And I dont consider myself a particularly good pistol shooter.
Welli got the staccato p and the springfield prodigy and I hate to say it but my prodigy it's smother than my staccato as fair accuracy goes there very close as far the recoil there the same I have not have had issues with my prodigy or my staccato I like them both is up to the operator to chose wich one works for you but that's my personal intake
@A.L. Since you have both the Springfield Prodigy and Staccato.. is Staccato worth the extra money? Or the difference doesn’t justify the cost? Thank you
Personally, I think the Staccato is 100% worth the extra money. Fit and finish are miles better, no MIM parts, great customer service, just about every part I’ve needed was made with Staccatos in mind, and resale value for staccatos are great
@@ModernRifleman thank you.. next question is… staccato p or staccato xc? I’m using it only for target shooting NOT for defense and not a competition shooter.. just want a bad ass gun but I don’t know about the price difference if it’s worth going for.. thank you again for your input
Fun review. I put a bid on gunbroker for a STACCATO P and after placing bid. I read that the lower frame is aluminum. Ugh...I want the steel frame version. Hopefully I get outbid. Scheel's online has the STACCATO C2 for $1,999. Peace
Springfield had a bad QA at first. Had to send mine back. I bought it for 1300 dollars. I wanted a little more out off it sent it to skips gunz. He did a egw ignition kit, atlas trigger 7lb recoil and 17lb main spring. DSC did the v8 port which all came out to about $650. $1950 total and now out performs anyone’s staccato p or c at my department. Comes in cheaper then the staccato, the staccato is great pistol but the prodigy is by far a more cost effective pistol to customize
That thing moves well. Love the feeling of the P over the rest of staccato's offerings. It feels very good for metal. frame. The others are grossly under balanced.
Theres a difference between gun owners, and gun shooters! If you need to talk shit about the Prodigy to justify paying a grand more for a gun then Im behind you all the way! Im not a Staccato fan boy, i own and COMPETE with 4 of them, but I am a "GUN BOY"! In 69 years ive never met a gun i didnt like. But after shooting 1911's ive obtained the ability to know how to make them work.
Great video Bro..... no one expects to pay $1400 for a pistol and it doesn’t work right out of the box. Staccato it is. Thanks for sharing. Just sub’d.
@@gamepada your absolutely right…. It’s just a hard pill to swallow when there are others that don’t. Truth be told, I rock with them both but always wanted a Staccato back when they were STI…. Either that or a Bul Armory
Springfield won’t let you send it back until you shoot 500 rounds for break in period. And have issues. That’s stupid! Are they going to give me 500 rounds back?
Simply not true. I sent mine back after 300rds and it jamming after every other shot. It was not fully ejecting the empty casing and trying to load another round into the gun at the same time. I sent it back. They did whatever they do then I added a few simple parts from egw and Dawson. She runs amazing now. I have a P as well. While they really don't compare, I'd buy another prodigy tomorrow and do everything again with no hesitation. If you need a parts list I can send it.
Kimbers owners manual states that the pistols have a 500 round break in. If you can afford the premium handgun, you can certainly afford the break in ammo.
@X3 Dominator let's see. My Bull armory no issues. No staccato. No issues. My Springfield 1911 no problem. Ever. I don't need ro get 500rds through a gun that's jamming every other shot. It needs to be fixed.
Red Dots aren't the future, they are the now. If you don't have one, you are living in the past. Its the equivalent of sticking to Irons on the AR in the age of optics/dots.
@airmann4673 no, the now is here, and most PDs are actively transitioning over to dots. The ones who haven't are still in the past. But the now, is in fact red dots on pistols.

I tried to juice up a couple and finally just broke down and bought a C2.....no regrets
Your reaction from this is complete opposite versus the Springfield. Says a lot about both pistols.
