I hit my irons pretty straight. Buy I recently saw an article that said "If you don't hit your 7 iron 150 yds that the longest iron in your bag should be a 6 iron! I hit my 7 iron 135 yds! So, I bought a used 29 degree hybrid and I was amazed at the shots! Now I carry a 4,5,6 hybrid! Cheers

Just had almost (c19) A full season with this club in my bag and I can honestly say it’s been a game changer for me.
I play a course with a lot of 200 plus par 3s and the EF 4 hybrid has been fantastic. The great thing about this club is that I can hit it 210 and 190. Mark talks about floating them in and this makes it easy. Can also smash it with a lot of confidence too.
Semi to semi thick rough has been awesome. I’ve hit greens on long par 4s this year that previously have been out of reach from the rough.
Best club I’ve maybe ever bought. Expensive at £249 but worth it IMO.

I love how some hybrids can be so Poot for some and a total game changer for others. Hybrids are such a personal club in the bag. Great review on the flash!

Had the 4 HB for 3 months now and without a doubt the best hybrid I’ve ever had in the bag.
When I catch it out the middle it goes for miles with a great flight. Even off centre hits don’t kill you. Best of all, out the semi rough. This club is fantastic.

I currently game the Ping G400 3 Hybrid, I love it! I like not having all of the adjustments with loft and lie. I went down the rabbit hole with the adjustments on my driver and I’m still trying to find my way out, it’s dark in here!

Changed at end of last year Cobra max 3,4,5,6 & 7 hybrid have not looked back since now a solid 7 handicapper. Recently bought taylormade r11 fct hybrids put down to 15 degree & 17degree use these as my 1 & 2 iron in effect hit fairway every time just need a hybrid putter to stop 3 putting 😂

It's a fantastic club. I game the older Epic Hybrid 18 degree and tried this club the day it came out. It is definitely more forgiving than the old club - and I found loft for loft it was 5 yards longer than the old club. I was also hitting it very straight and found it less naturally right than the older model. I would highly recommend this club to anyone - and I mean anyone. My issue with the club is the stock shaft for me was a bit of a wet noodle versus the older stock shaft which was more stout. With the gen 3 hozzle being so new there were no other shafts available to hit it with when I demo'd it so I took a pass and bought an 18 degree Rogue Sub Zero 5 wood with an Evenflow X shaft which hits my desired carry number and gives me a better land angle into the green.

I carry two hybrids , a 23* Titleist 818H1 and a Callaway Rogue 18*. Used to carry three Rogues but the ability to adjust the H1 has helped better fill the gap and drop one to add another wedge.

    Big Bertha OS
    4 hybrid (24°, 195ish carry)
    5 hybrid (27°, 185ish carry)
Stubbornly held on to a 4 and 5 iron for about ten years too long! The 4 looks brand new and the 5 was only used as a low punch under the trees back into the fairway club! Pride is a heck of a thing. I am shooting scores now in my late 40's like I did in my early 20's.

Love my 21 degree Callaway X2 Hybrid. It replaced my 3 iron and I can shape it both ways. Carry it 175-185m depending on how I try to shape it. Only thing missing is the ability to adjust the head but don't really feel I need it. Will never go back to 2 or 3 irons!

Got my Epic Flash Hybrid a few days ago! I love the sound and the feel. I kept it at 18* to fill a gap in the top end of my bag. Carries around 230 for me. Swapped out the grip for an MCC +4 to match my set. But the stock grip was nice. Very easy to feel what I’m doing after getting used to the sound. Which I happen to really enjoy. Tensei Silver shaft feels like it loads nicely with a smoother tempo swing like mine. Either way I’m very happy with my purchase!

I love the high flight you can get from hybrids and I love the 3 hybrid for getting low under trees. I'm using hybrids almost as much as irons atm. I know they aren't as precise as irons but when I'm past 170 yards I'm more worried about clearing the green side bunkers and just making it anywhere on the green than attacking the flag.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe that the hosel is over sized to allow adjustments to the head while keeping the Align grip aligned. I love my Pings with Align grips, but once set and gripped, the clubs are done. Doesn't bother me, but it might others.

I removed my hybrid for a 3 iron. Couldn't control the hook. Probably need to look at some other hybrids at some point but the couple of hybrids I've had I had some control issues with them (especially massive hooks). My 3 iron is 130g xstiff and I've never hooked it :-)

    • @jacobmccain8082
      @jacobmccain8082 5 лет назад

Some of the newer hybrids come with a flat setting which is a lifesaver for hooks. I generally buy one loft up from what I want and set it flat and open (which lowers loft via adjustment)

    • @davejablonski8809

@@jacobmccain8082 Excellent. I'll have to take another look at the newer hybrids as both the replies I've received have talked about the newer ones ( and the one in the video ) are a lot more adjustable. Thanks...

@@davejablonski8809 depending on whether you like the iron like or fairway like look, two I'd definitely check out are the Callaway Apex and the Titleist 818H1 or TS2. The Apex is too low spin for my swing but it's as anti left a hybrid as I've ever swung.
