So for Matt Heafy, He originally started Trivium with these type of vocals. (Check out "upon the shores") then after a couple albums and tours he completely lost his voice and they dropped 2 albums with just cleans. Fast forward to the sin and the sentence and he learned a new technique to bring the harsh back. Fast forward to now, he has remastered the old technique in a safe and better way and is now doing it in streams.
For Amity it is the same members. Ahren (clean vocalist) left for mental health reasons but he is back with the band. Also his name is (Ah-ren) not (Ay-ren) and Joel has always been their screamer.
