- How to enable GPU Acceleration (OpenCL) in Premiere Pro | AMD Graphics Card Fix
If you are using AMD graphics card just like me, I was able to solve my problem with this steps in my Adobe Premiere Pro.

If you can't find the Khronos folder, it's probably because your OpenCL file is missing (you may even be getting an error for OpenCL when you turn on your PC). A quick solution is to uninstall the AMD GPU driver (Adrenalin), download it again, and install it. Restart your PC after the installation is finished. After that, open Premiere Pro and check Project Settings. This worked for me.

I cannot explain in words how thankful I'm for this video. As AMD cards does not have CUDA function so that's why this method works for the AMD GPU's. Reduced my rendering time drastically

@@MarcSantos Has this been patched? I have the option to select OpenCL but the GPU is not being used whatsoever and my timeline is showing a red line indicating it's purely CPU accelerated. Encode times are back through the roof.

I'm using Adobre premeire pro cc 2020 and I've AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series, i used to be able to enable GPU Acceleration (OpenCL) but now is greyed out.
I tried th isfix but in the Khronos folder I only have the Vulkan folder, no the OpenCL one.

@@BabeRudd Actually you'd better wasting no time and change your GPU to a new nVidia one. The reason you dont have gpu acceleration is that since 2020 premiere pro decided to ban the usage of openCL 2.0. it only supports open CL 2.1 (intel gpus) and open CL3.0. I had the same issue and threw my legendary rx 580 into the trash can.

Hello sir I have two options in those locations one is amdocl.dll and another one is shown in this video. Which of these two dlls I should change to enable hardware acceleration. I know you have clearly showed in this vid, but I cannot resist in knowing what does the amd option do.

I managed to solve the problem, I changed the settings in the registry editor, I activated the Intel graphics processor it was on 0 I put it on 1 and now it works

I have ryzen 3 3200g which is an APU. At beginning it was working fine but while rendering certain effects like warp stabilization or usage MOGRT graphics its getting crashed or stuck. Please let me know a proper solution to stop this
Thanks my good man. It kept giving me error bout the drivers of intel hd 4600 instead of using my amd. The error is still there though but i think it doesn't matter anymore. Or does it?
It doesn’t matter anymore. The error 4600 is there because of the built in gpu. What is your processor?

Well due to changes in registry, my games started stuttering. I had to reinstall os. Then i just turned off intel graphics from BIOS and it pretty much solved everything.

It does not work the same with other users. When I first installed premiere pro it is already enabled and I just have to select the OpenCL option. But after the previous update it was disabled and that’s the reason I made this video because maybe other people are having this problem. Can be from their initial installation or after the update.

in think so, based on the title of the video which is GPU acceleration means that GPU must be used when rendering or exporting a video. try it and you will see in the task manager if the gpu is being used.

Is it normal to be little bit laggy when you editing in the timeline? I feel like something is wrong. I will never ever buy a amd graphics card. I had many problems with amd in gaming, working and editing.
I have the same experience. I am using nvidia now and I don’t experience the same lag from amd.
@@MarcSantos y before my 6700 xt i had used gtx 970. I had no issues with nvidia. I cant recommend amd graphic cards. I would pay 100 bucks more for the same power but nvidia.
@@shisuna4030 i guess AMD is still not optimized for premiere. It was never recommended for editors. It will work but not as smooth as nvidia.
@@MarcSantos i have the problem that my premiere pro freezes my pc while editing. Somebody said that you have to turn ur fps of all ur monitors to the same amount because premiere pro cant handle different fps. Did you know something about that?

Hi. We’re you able to run premiere pro with your computer? What version? I believe Hd2000 built in cards were from 2011 computers? Maybe it doesn’t have that option with older models.
