    The right plant started producing peppers after the twisted pepper ripened. It was focusing on ripening what it had. I bet cutting off the malformed pepper would brought you more peppers sooner

    Thank you. I'm growing peppers. I was so curious how to prune them properly. I'm getting loads of flowers and alot of jalapeños. The plants just get crazy big. They are all doing good so far. I have 2 in each bounty and 3 in kratky good so far.

    lesson learned - should have pruned aggressively! having to cut the tops now where the flowers are myself.

    Wow! Great experiment! I’m thrilled that your cayennes as well as serranos grew so well. I’m going to try growing peppers. I’ve also watched Khang stars videos, and he also prunes his pepper plants. It is kind of scary 😬✂️✂️, but you have shown the plants recover and grow vigorously afterwards. So no need to have apprehension. 😅

    Thansk for your great video. How many time can we harvest this plant without changing its pod? I mean can this plant keep in this pod for multiple harvest?

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  7 месяцев назад +1

      This pepper variety, in fact, most pepper plants go for a very long time like a few years. They continue to produce peppers as long as we continue to harvest.

      I think the limiting factor is the stem becoming as wide as the hole in the lid. For me that happened in one season.

    Awesome video. Just a couple of questions : which nutrient did you use? And such a small reservoir did you end up filling the reservoir constantly with the 2 pepper plants?

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  Год назад +3

      I am using just the Aerogarden nutrients. Initially I was using only the recommended dosage i.e. 8ml at every feedling cycle. Since the plants started producing peppers, they started taking up a lot of water. I fill the bowl pretty much every 3 days. Since they started emptying the bowl frequently, I have been adding an additional 3ml of nutrients in between the regular feeding cycles.

    Can you prune chili plants to keep it small and still produces fruits?

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  Год назад +1

      Absolutely. Prune it from early days to keep it short and produce more fruits. Pepper plants often produce fruits at the top. If you wait longer and prune the tops, we may lose the flower buds. Pruning from early days and make the plant bushy will help the plant produce more fruits.

    Hey, do you use any sources of wind on your plants?

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  Год назад

      No, I don't use any. But I have been thinking about adding fans for some gardens like lettuce, Chard, etc.

    If I remove the top and replant it will I get another fruiting plant ? 🧐🤔

    • @aerogardenexperiments
      @aerogardenexperiments  Год назад

      Yes, you can propagate from these cuttings. However, it will take a lot of time.

    • @zeruty
      @zeruty 11 месяцев назад

      The top has a lot of fruiting hormones and will take a while to grow roots and revert to vegetative growth.
      You might find cuttings from lower on the plant might root quicker.

    If you look up ViparSpectra XS 1000 is an amazing light for 100w that i have seen on amazon for under $100 with coupon. I used the XS1000 combined with the XS2000 in a 2x4 and grew a Tiny Tim tomato plant, a fingerling sweet pepper plant, and 6 parthenocarpic Picolino cucumber plants. In under 60 days i was eating cucumbers, in 65 days i had fingerling peppers, tomatoes and Cucumber salads from day 65-120, until i had to cull it. The cucumbers were more intense to care for as they needed training every few days due to the limited space i had in the 2x4x5tall grow tent. I used a hydroponic recirculating system with Large 6"x 6" rock wool cubes for each plant kept PH 5.8-6.2 and ppm 1200-1450, as for the nutrients i used General Hydroponic 3 parts with magical to supplement calcium and magnesium. You can actually get a glance of it on one of my uploaded videos ruclips.net/video/bkfRpWeusiM/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/53jJctTwQUc/видео.html
