@@dallaswood4117 sorry but he was a little undersized for a middle linebacker…. Obviously made up for it with incredible speed/motor and football iq as well as perfect flawless technique
Can this please just be its own show? Ray Lewis and Colin talking about the mechanics of football with practical examples instead of just talking about the specific players? I mean that stuffs not bad but this is just so engaging and ray talking about him being at linebacker puts me in his head at that exact moment and that's beautiful. I would love to watch more of this please.
For how good Ray Lewis was as a player, he's absolutely unbelievable as an analyst. Nobody has the total knowledge of defensive football like him. Absolutely compelling.
Colin Cowherd Best sports show!!! Awesome break down of both sides of the fence with offense and defense. I personally pay no attention to Skip Bayless. He's way too biased about his Cowboys and is NEVER neutral. I believe it's time for Bayless to retire. Colin has great analysis and insight for EVERY team. 'Go Hawks.'. Ray Lewis was a monster for Baltimore and was the face of the franchise for the Ravens and that '00 Ravens defense is probably THE best. I remember watching that Superbowl back in January of '01 as I took off from work that evening. Jason Sehorn was having a great year with Kerry Collins as the Giants qb and Barber as the Giants running back, but was stuffed on nearly EVERY play. Trent Dilfer had more interceptions than tds that season, but the Ravens defense made Dilfer into a superstar that night and THAT IS WHY MIKE HOLMGREN DECIDED BEST TO ACQUIRE TRENT DILFER ONLY BECAUSE DILFER WAS ASSOCIATED WITH A SUPERBOWL WINNING TEAM WITH BALTIMORE RAVENS back in '01!!! Ha-Ha-Ha Ha!!! 😎
Great Break Down by the Legend WOW, the big guys don't get coverage they deserve but without them these Running Backs and QB's are NOTHING! Ray Lewis need to be Coaching and TEACHING the game to young men!
As a former football player I couldn't agreee more based on 3 years with a talented o-line. Stepping out of my comfort zone and being friends with people in high school you normally wouldn't be with surprises you how much chemistry on the field is affected off the field.
It’s just attentiveness. Does look funny though. When you spend your day having one on one conversations, it gets tiresome to show attentiveness. That’s all he’s doing. Ok, that was a boring response. 😏
I love when ray gets to come on and give insight like this as opposed to guys trying to simulate babershop talk. I want knowledge. And just sitting here listening to ray talk shows me exactly why this man is the best ever to play his position.
Blackbirdrebellion2937 I think there was two years where two guys got it right? dual MVPs? I think favre and Barry Sanders did it also Steve McNair and Manning did it.. so it's happened before!
oG-DaLLaS actually he did. If the o line is so great on its own why couldn't Cassel, Weeden or Moore perform the way Dak is? Why didn't McFadden just terrorize teams how zeke is?
Rey reminds me of John Madden. Great explanation so anyone understands. Offensive line is the most complicated position on the field and center is the most important.
This is the only type of football commentary that I care about. No commentators speak about the strategic side of football (Gruden does to some degree).
This video is almost 3 years old and it's still so good. I don't think people recognize how much great info we just got from an ALL-TIME GREAT in Ray Lewis right here. This should be something we pay to get. And he should have his own show, breaking down games and stuff during the week.
Its a shame injuries took down Tyron Smith and disease took down Travis Frederick. That would have been an all time great O line for several more years. The cowboys line is still good but its nothing like 2014-2017.
Great stuff! To have one of the legends give his insight into how it really is in the game, the mental and strategic aspects and the intricacies of the game. Thank you! Would love to hear more from players about things like this.
jerry jones wanted ray lewis a few years ago....wanted to pay him millions just to have him in the locker room...just for his knowledge and leadership...that's respect.....and jerry was right....wish he was there now...their defense would be way better
I wish Ray Lewis could have faced the 90's Cowboys O-Line, with Erik Williams and Larry Allen. They would have had no fear of Ray Lewis. They were looking for a fight.
growing up a Chiefs fan Willie Roaf was my favorite football player. those were the greatest offensive lines ever assembled. there's videos of Will Shields putting Ray Lewis on his a**. they were unstoppable man
That Chiefs O-line was incredible. I remember when they had Priest Holmes too. Good luck to the defense on that. The only way to beat them was to outscore them, which the Colts did in that game where no team punted lol. What a team. It's too bad their defense was very much the same as it is today, worthless.
Great explanation at the end about cover 2 and rallying to the ball. It can work but you have to have the right players, if not teams will go up and down the field on you.
Hayden Clifford well, as he implied, Nagata was then brand new and was learning the ropes and so the chemistry wasn't there and he made a dumb mistake. I'm sure Ray gave him an earful and he learned from it.
StryderK Nagata wasn't a rookie in 2010 when they played the Chiefs. In '06 the Chiefs lost a WC game vs the Colts. Ray is speaking of the 2010 playoff game vs the Matt Cassell led Chiefs.
Raidenx147 I didn't say he was a rookie! It sometimes takes YEARS to get to Ray's level! Nagata may have had a few years under his belt by 2010, but you can tell he still got a ways to go. And that mistake he made was obvious and Ray called him out on it.
I don’t understand why the NFL doesn’t have a show with Manning and Lewis just breaking down the game from each perspective.... Both guys are great to listen to and both KNOW the game better than almost anyone out there.
Being on a good defense is like being a jazz musician. They have to act on what they are hearing and seeing, there's so much lingo going on and sub plots in the trenches it's amazing.
People don't realize how much Ray is a "student of the game" = massive football IQ . . . not just the Hardest Hitter of all time. ( not a Ravens fan ) but this guy was Next Level Special.
I could've listen to him break down the game all day
Dude!!
Im right there with you on that... It's great to hear the game broken down like tha
Agreed... might be one of the smartest players ever... guy is an incredible listen
Ray Lewis should become a defensive coordinator, this guy is like a professor of defense.
Yashar MJ he makes too much money casting
He would only be good if he had a player as good as he was
Coaching can only take a team so fare, have to have the right players. That's time.
Great interview!
@@bobbyj3245 Ray basically says this in the interview. Says a coach can only draw up a defense.
5:43 Ray Lewis making me a legend at Madden
Jay Awesome Madden cheats concepts that should work don't lol the way the CB plays Comebacks in cover 3 is crazy lol
Jay Awesome man your right about that they have concepts that don't work properly like they need too in real life.
Montray Brown you aint play 18 than
Jay Awesome hahahaha
"Ray how big are you?"
"I'm big enough"
😅
I wouldn't ask no more questions after that 😂😂😅
He was able to make his slight lack of size a non-factor with speed aggression technique and football iq
@@patsfan4life he wasn’t really small for a linebacker though just small compared to offensive linemen
@@dallaswood4117 sorry but he was a little undersized for a middle linebacker…. Obviously made up for it with incredible speed/motor and football iq as well as perfect flawless technique
He was said to be undersized he might still be a bit unsure about it year's later 6.2 245lbs that's big enough

ballisticbobb anytime ray talks football is engaging. he has such a way of explaining these things
ballisticbobb this is the only part of colin show i like. when he makes predictions or analysis he is the absolute worst.
ray, deion, shannon, and l.t. need a open court type show
For how good Ray Lewis was as a player, he's absolutely unbelievable as an analyst. Nobody has the total knowledge of defensive football like him. Absolutely compelling.
Luke Stapleton agreed
Luke Stapleton For a killer he fuckn knows his football!!!!
Teddy Bruschi is good too
Ray Lewis is a genius
at escaping prison time
First aid you mean Ray rice lol
zachary
him too but atleast no one died
ray lewis killed a guy
colin always looks like he is gettin head beneath the table lol
KingG probably Kristen
KingG Life of an intern...
probably is Jason Whitlock
KingG lol watch Jerry Want A Superbowl on youtube Thanks like and share
Lmao right the faces he makes while hes listening lol
Really good video. It's show how much Ray experienced, and how much he had to learn to be as good as he was.
Great conversation - Heavy on football knowledge and less about opinions in this one.
Colin Cowherd I could watch hours of this kind of stuff
Colin Cowherd Love his knowledge of the game. So smart.
I want to see Ray Lewis and Colin Cowherd call NFL games.
Colin Cowherd Best sports show!!! Awesome break down of both sides of the fence with offense and defense. I personally pay no attention to Skip Bayless. Colin Cowherd oh but when you speak of Green Bay it's your own grudge? Haha you're a bandwagon and get lost in your own words
I could listen to Ray Lewis talk football all day. Goat mlb.
Ray Lewis is one of the smartest football commentators. He should replace Stephen Smith on ESPN. We need some intelligence there.
Strangerer69 he sadly isn't that intelligent man
Maybe replace a football announcer, kind of like Tony Romo did. He would know nothing about other sports though.
Wow, so disrespectful to the GOAT Stephen A Smith. Stay off the weeeeeeeeeeeeerduuuuuhhhh!
Ray Lewis just described in a few coverages "bend but don't break," but with his scheme the goal was bringing 4 quarters of pain.

More Ray Lewis coming from today's show.
lol
why he lookin at ray lewis like he found the man of his dreams

at 3 min he looks at ray and is saying in his head.say it slow baby say it slow
Dmeingo Johnson 😂😂😂 *light breath* "where have you been all my life"
#NoRubberGang RAW bruh you're telling me ray Lewis isn't in your dreams too?? Inspiring you to be great!
Ima listen to this when I play football games and when I watch football on tv. Very insightful.
3:46 Ray thought about decimating a QB just in that split second
Wow U can tell ray is a natural leader he grabbed my undivided attention thru a screen to talk about offensive linemen and I watched this 3xs lol
I love when ray gets to come on and give insight like this as opposed to guys trying to simulate babershop talk. I want knowledge. And just sitting here listening to ray talk shows me exactly why this man is the best ever to play his position.
If the mvp can be given to multiple candidates, I think the whole O line should win it
Blackbirdrebellion2937 I think there was two years where two guys got it right? dual MVPs? I think favre and Barry Sanders did it also Steve McNair and Manning did it.. so it's happened before!
Gaddy217 yeah co-mvp, they aint gonna split mvp between 5 dudes though...
It's the same line that went 4-12 last year. Don't sell Dak and Zeke short. They're ballin' out.
oG-DaLLaS actually he did. If the o line is so great on its own why couldn't Cassel, Weeden or Moore perform the way Dak is? Why didn't McFadden just terrorize teams how zeke is?
Joker what about that 2014 12-4 Dallas Cowboys o-line? and with a rookie... (Zack Martin)

he does coach, just not nfl. why bother coaching nfl? all those hours, headaches. he's making tall cash doing his thing as a commentator etc.
5:15 “let em catch it...we gon BASH they..” Ray got into beast mode right quick 🤣😆 You KNOW he kept that pg

One of the 🐐s
loved hearing his thoughts. This was great
"That's my job" I love that confidence!
Why cant every athlete talk about the game or their sport like this??!! Thank you so much Ray
Ray is a totally different guy behind a mic. Absolute football genius as well as one of the best defensive players ever
awesome segment! just learned a ton of knowledge from the goat 💪
Kebb Christ7 thats all he do
Ray Lewis was amazing, but LT was the goat.
Great explanation at the end about cover 2 and rallying to the ball. It can work but you have to have the right players, if not teams will go up and down the field on you.

This is some seriously good stuff; does anyone have a link to the full interview?
Offensive line and defensive line win champions.
Why do i keep comin back to watch this... great stuff
Great interview, very insightful.
this was amazing to listen to.
Love hearing Ray talk football
man I remember that cowboy oline winning them that superbowl....such a great year
Love these conversations and love the show! Keep it up
Colin has the most sadistically creepy face when he's listening to somebody else speak.
bro he's face is sooooo annoying
rays a football genius i always come back to this clip
Ray Ray....dropping knowledge. 👍
Is it just me or is Colin's facial expressions quite amusing?
Desperately missing this o line in 2023
Missing it even more in 2024
This was awesome
Where is the rest of this interview??
Ray can we hire this man As a coach already jeez
This is real content. Good football knowledge.
"He hit his head 45 yards later on the go post" hahaa
- Uncle Ray Lewis
amazing interview. So decent!
I could listen to Ray talk about football all day long.
Haloti is why Ray was able to stay in the game so long. BEAST!
what he says there at the end is really good, about having seven people back as the best defense.
This is good stuff!
Great segment so good hearing someone talk about Dallas's O-Line like that and not give an opinion piece but give facts and experience into
I'd rather hear Xs and Os like this than some talking head like Steven A Smith screaming "HOW SURPRISED WERE YOU ABOUT HOW MUCH HEART HE HAD?!?! 😒😒
This is awesome X’s & O’s
I love it when he says “guess who’s job is it to stop that? That’s my job”. He needn’t say any more. That’s why they won those games.
Great video
SEAN LEE and the BOYS SHUT EM DOWN!!!!!!
The Greatest Middle Linebacker to ever live and my favorite player of all-time!!
Great player,
great football IQ
Colin looks like a cartoon character
Funny that the Dallas D is using the bend don't break defense that Ravens used in the playoffs.
Rays opinion is gold. Love it.
Nice job Ray, great analysis! Thank you
As a man, you never ask another man "how big are you". Ask him "what's your height and weight". Just sayin😔
I learn something from Ray Lewis every time I listened to him.
i could listen to ray lewis for hours
Being on a good defense is like being a jazz musician. They have to act on what they are hearing and seeing, there's so much lingo going on and sub plots in the trenches it's amazing.
Ray Lewis football IQ and knowledge the game on both sides of the ball is genius
Could listen to the GOAT talk football all day everyday
Ray Lewis be talking and sounding so inspirational all the time. He could make a deaf man hear
Ray Lewis looks like he caught Ant-Man in the thumbnail
He’s so damn knowledgeable
Brian watters played in Dallas for a bit, he helped blossom our O line coincidently
