Meee!
RIght fucking here! STRAIGHT FROM THE GUTTER!!!!
I...
Me
No contest - but only the first three. Influence is so jampacked with breaks and crazy ideas and Bobby's solos front to back. After they kicked Bobby out, they just didn't match. INfluence is an all-time classic!
Gustafson looking like hetfields twin in the video .
Now that's how drums are supposed to sound!
can u imagine with double bass drums this album
Under The influence is Overkill's 80's best album !
Dominique FARAUT I’d rank it 4th of their 80s records.
My fav. too!
Wrecking crew is better in my opinion
@@RVsoloman5000 you mean taking over?

One of the top 3 loudest bands Ive ever saw live. OVERKILL KICKS ASS!
Tourniquet, Megadeth Metallica y Overkill. En ese orden son las mejores bandas de thrash metal.
This Song Is so frickin' energetic!
I love overkill
For me ,Overkill deserves to be one of the best metal ever alongside Metallica,Megadeth,Slayer,Anthrax,Exodus
Can’t forget Testament too!
Thrash isn’t the only genre in metal lmao gojira is better than a few of those
Yes definitely I love OVERKILL
throw in Testament too
they kick poptallica's ass 👊🏽
If that’s not one of the best solos I’ve ever heard
Power, emotion, flare- Love it.
Tourniquet, Megadeth Metallica y Overkill. En ese orden son las mejores bandas de thrash metal.
35 years on and it never lost its finesse still a very fresh sound . Great band
I think one of their greatest songs.
Gustafson is a criminally underrated guitar player
I'd say he is Overkill's best guitar player, ever.
He certainly was the fuckin man!
Totally agree but whatever happened to him??!?!???
@@sethnicholls7861 he's just joined Violence. Check out Zetros recently uploaded interview on RUclips with him.
*he's fat and ugly.*

YEAH!
First time I saw Overkill was when they opened for Slayer (Reign in Blood Tour) 1986 in NYC. Forever one of my favorite bands...
😮❤
Im 52 now and found this band when I was only 15 years old. I was fucking FLOORED when I first heard this on headbangers ball. The bass lines were something I had never heard before and I could actually hear the bass over the song..... It was life changing metal-wise in my young mind. I listened to this album constantly, until I wore out the cassette and then I bought another one.
I'm 50 and was TOTALLY blown away when I first heard this...and the bass lines is EXACTLY what turned me on to them. Met Bobby on the Horrorscope tour and they DESTROYED the sound system at a club! Thankfully they had 2 songs left on their set and they just played some acoustic songs for the rest of the show LOL
The unofficial anthem of New Jersey
Saw these guys in Buffalo years ago. Kicked ass!!
I remember watching this on the ball when I was around 13 years, still goes hard years later.
It’s a damn shame they are so underrated
Abso- muthafukin-lutely
@@alanomie they put out a fan fucking tastic album last year
@@thatonedudeoverhere I'll check it out. I had a friend who was friends with Bobby Blitz. Although I didn't get to meet them, they asked me to do security up front. I stood in front of DD Verni, singing as I threw mutha fuckas around, lol. "From the islands to the cities"
This and Testament’s “trial by fire” sold me on the thrash metal.
@@ronaldferrucci3756 what a great fucking song by Testament, they and overkill are still kicking ass
All those dreams and broken glass
Swept down the sewer
With the rest of the trash
Never to be seen again
Now, you're making a home
In a garbage can
Here's a little story that I live to tell
Hello from the gutter
Hello from our little Hell
Wasted days, wasted nights
Hypnotised by the city lights
Another king and another queen
Living in the shadows
So they can't be seen
Remember all the world
Lies at your feet
And the big apple's rotten
Rotten in the heat

MASTER! MASTER!
Wtf? This video/song has been on YT for 10 years and has only got 184k views.. This is one of the greatest thrash songs to this day. Should be 184m views not 184k
I thought the same thing, cause I know I watched it at least a hundred times. Even their later shit fuckin’ rips. Seems it would’ve been cool to grow up a metal head in the early to late 80’s. But I was still getting growing teeth when this was a thing. Thank God for vinyl record stores….
Now it suddenly has 450k views
@@jordanjackson6151 It was! I was13 in 1980 so I cut my teeth on NWOBHM plus all the other metal from around the world. Got to see many bands in their prime in the 80's beginning with Iron Maiden's Powerlave tour. But, what's cool about the internet is that I'm finding lots of older stuff that I never got into or was obscure. Another thing that i cool is that, if you keep an open mind, there has been great rock music in every decade! It's nice that quite a few members of the "old guard" continue to play even 40 or more years after. One band that I don't think gets the recognition they deserve is Saxon. They keep putting out quality records, even better than Priest or Maiden and have gotten a little heavier since the 90's. Kind of the way Priest did with Painkiller. Take a listen to Unleash The Beast, Inner Sanctum and their latest, Carpe Diem. Not bad for a band whose core group are all around 70!
@@briansauer6695 I’ve got some Saxon on cd and vinyl. I even have an authentic Saxon band shirt. I’m 36 now. I work in Database industry, but in my off hours, I riff the fuck out. Years before that I worked in fuse assembly. Apparently I came in one day with a vintage Pantera shirt and even Scorpions as well as some rare Deep Purple. Even older dudes were like, “Umm, I know the groups , but the shirt looks uncommon.” And I’m like, “Yeah, Only 500 of this print was made (the Pantera one in particular). Not a lot of thrashers there. To them it’s almost like, ‘the big four and nothing else matters’😒. For me Overkill was like this equally massive unit that further made itself unique with a more range expansive vocalist. NWOBHM knew what it wanted to be until it wasn’t cool to be anything other than top 40. Even early wave of 70’s Priest and Budgie kick ass. Classic 80’s Raven anyone?
Kult ...einfach nur Kult
Overkill has always been one of the best band on earth...feel the fireeeeeee

Each and every band are their own brightest stars of thrash metal!
East Coast thrash was more about fun and party. A bit more tongue and cheek and not quite as dark.
That winged skulls should have their own show.
Heh heh.
Classic!
Nice old skool thrash
OVERKILL OVERKILL, OVERKIll!
Bobby Blitz is like Lemmy of thrash metal .Killer song
Over Kill is one of my favorite bands, since I first heard this song I thought this is what it would sound like if Iron Maiden wrote a a thrash song, anyone agree?

1 of the first songs that turned me onto thrash/speedmetal back in the day. A coworker who was in a local alternative band in the early 90s in Seattle knew I was just discovering that style of metal (longtime 80s metal fan, Ozzy, Crue, etc.), and 1 day said "Hey you're finally getting into Metallica, right? I think you'll like this one, check it out" and handed me a cd. Phenomenal metal. Cool lyrics sung just right, a bass you can actually hear in a thrash song, a killer guitar solo that stands out in this style and makes you feel something, and of course that rhythm guitar 'solo' bridge right afterward...it doesn't get much better than this. Thanks for posting this!
I love this song!
The Main Riff always puts me in a good mood :)

Omfg!!! Just the sheer rawness... Ahhh! Like listening to Beethoven for the first time.. original metal 🖤
proper arrangement, Accepted with proud German bravado...
always appreciated the sum of four parts presented in stealth fashion, songs offer catchy parts in select succession...
