I made unique dyes in my own pack as well, but then played on someone else's PC and I was so confused by them being different, but then he said it was vanilla tweaks because them all looking the same was stupid and I almost died realising the base game doesn't have them

Would be cool if the mace could be 3D in your hand but a sprite in your inventory, like the trident.
The trident isn't more 3D than anything else in your hand. It's just a sprite with a thickness of 1 pixel

The fact that the wind mace wasn't already 3d boggles me, what with the cube piece practically being a placeable block for seemingly no reason as of yet

Is it possible to have the 3D model of the Mace with the 2D item texture? Because thats how the trident is.
Not in the vanilla tweaks, but it could probably be made that way through messing with the item model individually
This isn't something the game supports through resource packs, tridents and spyglasses have this functionality hardcoded in
@@Death_Tr00per58 I've actually tried it before and sadly it's hardcoded, you'd need to do it with a really janky custom shader that I don't know how to do lol
@@acceltech unfortunate, I guess I haven't messed with item models enough to have figured that out
I was able to make a similar item to the trident with a 3d hand model and 2d texture in inventory in a Minecraft mod with just a normal json model, I think there's different positions in the file's code for the model depending on where it is, like inventory, hand, off-hand, head, etc. So I think it might be possible in optifine if it lets you change the models? I haven't made an optifine texture before so I'm not sure, it might be different to how mods work. Not sure if optifine 1.21 is even out yet though.
Edit: If i explained this badly it's because i wrote this half awake like 20 minutes after waking up while still in bed at 9am this morning for some reason
if the world of color folder is now a thing, i feel like different gui colors based on the dyes should be a thing :) just a thought

this is a huge vanilla tweaks update, i especially like the new hunger and heart bars and enchantment glint
So glad I downloaded Vanilla tweaks, particularly the directional arrows on hoppers and the thicker lines on redstone. Being able to see how full my lava cauldrons are from a distance is also very helpful.
If you want more redstone related resource pack features I recommend Redstone Tweaks by Rexxtone

Gonna be real, playing Minecraft without the dark UI is so horrible, the inventory menus are so dang bright it hurts my eyes.

Thank you for all the work you folks put into these tweaks. I very much appreciate having a lot of the visual "aids" to help me in game to see. With my severe lack of vision IRL often a simple thing like seeing which plant is a melon or a pumpkin is a big help... not to mention having the ores show up for me while mining (even in a well lit area I still miss so many ores)... or which direction my hopper is facing. I really like the dark mode as well for the GUI... keeps the glare down so my eyes don't hurt! Thank you for making the game even more accessible for half blind folks like me lol!

regarding the 3D mace, i definitely think it should receive the trident treatment. when there item is 2D, but when held in your hand it has a 3D model
apparently that's not possible with just a resource pack. That functionality for the trident is a hardcoded case.

There is actually an issue i have found with the Dark GUI, on older versions the menu buttons are also darkend, but on 1.21 they are the default minecraft menu buttons, idk if i did something wrong but using the 1.20 version on 1.21 did seem to have the darkend menu buttons
In the discord, stridey confirmed that those features are no longer supported due to being too complicated to maintain. I copied over assets from my old vanilla tweaks pack to cover those

@@EllaMBV supposedly its because of other packs that affect the same things (e.g. numbered hotbar) requiring that many different combinations would be made on the back end.

I've been confused why there's been no legacy bat texture option after the bat texture update for vanilla tweaks. I would really enjoy that.
I think the bat change was a change to the model, not just the texture, so it might be harder to change, but I might be wrong idk
@@professionalidiot4409 I don't believe its possible to change entity models in vanilla, hence the need for either optifine or the entity model features mod when you want to use something like fresh animations. You could definitely try and put a legacy looking texture on the bat though.

Enchantment Glint, and the Hunger and Hearts tweaks are all BIG perks for me. I can finally glow red (not because I'm evil, I just like red), and replace my food with Salmon or a Potato or something similarly silly. I could also swap heart color out for funsies at any time. Those are all VERY fun changes. I kinda hope Armor gets one too, if it hasn't already and I missed it. I want Diamond armor segments (or gold). Much love to the team, the Vanilla Tweaks has been a lot of fun.
3:35 Doc's going to love that feature. I'm sure that he's going to enjoy seeing red slimes once again.
That mace looks cool as heck, and I hope the Pride heart options last even into future updates that aren't made in Pride month, they're excellent!
Pride Hearts are a permanent addition! It just happened to line up nicely with pride month :)

if you like the enchantment glint colors, there is a mod where you can change the color of them in game with just a command. you can even set it to rainbow. i normally just set it to white so its not too noticeable of a difference but it still looks epic

they should add a fix for the inconsistency between the held breeze and blaze rods items
I think the mase should be like the trident, pixelated in the inventory but 3D in the hand, and that pixelated breeze rod looks odd in my opinion. The now classic 3D mase build where you put a heavy core on an end rod would look better IMO, with the handle breeze colors of course.

Then they should just make it look like the 3D mace build (heave core on an end rod ( that should be retextured breeze colors for this item)) because that pixelated handle with a proper cube on the end just look odd to me. I think it's the 45° offset of the pixels between the two parts?

Why is there a "rename sherds to shards" pack? Sherds is the actual name for what you find when youre dusting off the suspicious blocks. Having a rename tweak makes it feel like someone's saying that sherd is the wrong name
Not everyone has heard the term before so it could feel out of place - it’s technically called a sherd but I get how it can seem ‘off’ to people who don’t recognise the term
hi xisuma! I love what you and the team did with vanilla tweaks, and I noticed something in the world of color section, specifically with the enchantment glint colors. It was really hard to make out from the preview images what the effect would look like. Is it possible to put gifs there instead of still images? I feel it would help a lot!

Those enchantment glint options could be really good with the ability to modulate how strong the effect is...
Minecraft has a built-in slider in the accessibility tab of the settings menu, to adjust the enchantment glint strength. I hope this helps!

Question, for the world of color would it be possible to do the nether portals different colors? I'm colorblind and when I put my colorblind glasses on for the first time while playing Minecraft the nether portal looked different and I like it how it is honestly better than with my glasses

Are the packs compatible with the settings and each other? For example the 3D mace with the smaller tools or the enchantment glint with the slider in accessibility?
Some are, some aren't, the resource pack picker should highlight which ones conflict with each other when you have multiple selected. If i had to guess, the smaller tools isn't compatible with the 3D mace but I would have to check and verify that.
You should add a rainbow heart pack that makes each heart a different colour, it would match the rainbow xp bar really well and look great
Yes!! That's what I thought the pride hearts were going to do before I saw them - although of course the stripes look good too, and many more options with the stripes too I suppose (hard to divide 10 into the number of stripes an average pride flag has lol)

If I may make a suggestion, I think visualizing half hearts, empty and the same for the hunger bar might be useful in the example screenshots.

Yep, I would specify just setting the player's health and hunger to 5.5 (or 11, since half an icon is 1 point) for the screenshot.
Can you add a datapack to revert the copper bulb change to vanilla tweaks?

@@xisumavoid I think they mean how the copper bulb's 1 game-tick functionality was really useful for redstone, but then it got removed for "parity".
This is only for visual changes so that wouldn't work. You would need a data pack or mod to change that.

Just a suggestion that came into my head: you should have an option in the world of colour tab to change everything back to before the world of colour update. If I’m not mistaken, that wouldn’t have to be a data pack and you could just rename and retexture all the wool and other coloured things to be how they were before the world of colour update

I know it's a lot of work, but I'm definitely looking forward to the Datapacks being updated. I've held off on updating my home server for a little while now just because I know the Coordinate HUD datapack will break.
The only thing I'm confused about is when I add the numbers for my hotbar, they don't show? Going into my inventory, they do, but otherwise the numbers don't come up.
Can we have hearts with all country flags?
LETS GOOOOO I am so tired of seeing people just categorize the pride flag as the ''gay'' flag and not actually adding the actual gay flag because of it.

Keep in mind that the trident has a 3d model when held and a 2d model in the inventory, it would be nice to have this changed and make the mace size accurate, I beleave that phenixsc has done so.
Also just an idea but it would be cool to have a resource pack that changes the texture of the copper bulb. At the moment when a copper bowl is turned on you can see a Redstone square glow in the middle of it but when you unpowered the cover bulb when it’s still on the texture changes back to a copper square instead of a dimmed Redstone square
One pack that you forgot to mention (or it was added after you made this, or I just missed it) is the one that changes the bogged to look like the mossy skeleton from Minecraft dungeons
These changes are all amazing. Love more customization and it all feels so vanilla ♥️😎. Sometimes I forget what the normal game looks like because I’ve been using the VT texture pack for so long 😂.
Can you guys add a piece and quiet option to bring back the new piston sound?
