It was sure nice riding along with you. I drove truck OTR for 13 years. Drove for Greyhound for 4 years. Sure enjoyed hearing the sound of a truck. And I agree two of my most favorite trucks were KW and Freightliner. My kW's had Cummings engines but the Freightliners had 60 series Detroit but they all had 13-speed Transmissions. I remember going across Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and even Texas as a low-flying aircraft was running 120 mph. Every now and then you got to stretch your legs. It will be a challenge to get it to comply with DOT Regs. (I'm talking about the NHTSA's FMVSSs) .

Been by that coop plenty of times but never pulled in. But that's the thing driving for a large carrier is most of the time it's green light from the PrePass lane scales. Seemed like pretty cool DOT but always see plenty shut down over there. Then drove regional for Walmart up in IA, IL and MO. Those scales were never up over night. Smooth sailing. Pulled 92k rebar in CA with a 10' spread axle and got a few more inspections during that time though. Those damn super coops out there though are something else. But green lit through them vast majority of the time.

It would have been cool if you could’ve posted a basic route and approximate time come in through interstate cities so the roadways might could be land up in some places for people to see it and wave to you on the way to Florida

here in the UK you are allowed anything up to 6 inches overhang on the sides and rear of the trailer without warning other motorists, and upto 6 feet overhang off the back or upto 10 feet wide with warning beacons and markers, and up to 16 feet 6 inches from the floor. anything over that is classed as over sized and requires an escort vehicles, unless slow moving then you also need an escort vehicle like the army/millitary vehicles.

I have been with American since 1991 we had them all A300s A330s 757s 767s MD 11s DC 10s 727s all of them... after 25 to 30 years the airframes time out. Good planes all of them just like an old Louisville Ford sometimes they just get to old for daily use.

I missed a new scale off ramp. So I stopped on the shoulder just before the scale line. Walked across the grass. I went into the scale house. He said we’re are you, right there, I didn’t cross the scale but missed the off ramp , in the fog. He let me go.
