2022 Dodge Challenger Models and Trim Levels Explained!

In 2022 Dodge will offer 11 different Challenger models to choose from. From the 305 horsepower V6 Challenger GT, to the super charged V8 Challenger Super Stock with 807 horsepower. In todays episode we will be covering and explaining all 11 Dodge Challenger models, their engines, options, and specifications.
For $30,000 Dodge offers you the Challenger SXT. A V6 2 door Challenger that is offered in both all wheel drive and rear wheel. Hitting 0-60 in over 5 seconds, the SXT is the slowest Challenger model but also the most affordable.
The model above the SXT will be the 2022 Challenger GT also offered in all wheel and rear wheel drive. With the same engine as the SXT you still will only have 305 horsepower, but the GT will allow you access to styling upgrades, paddle shifters, bucket seats, and remote start.
Next is the 2022 Dodge Challenger RT with the legendary 5.7 Semi pumping out almost 400 horsepower. The Challenger RT gets performance brakes, performance suspension, and an overall sportier look.
For about $40,000 you'll be able to take home the 2022 Challenger Scat Pack with the SRT 6.4L V8 pumping 475 horsepower and 470 ft lb of torque that'll hit 0-60 in a quick 4 seconds! A wide body option is also available on the Scat Pack for an additional $6,000.
For $63,000 that will get you the 2022 Challenger Hellcat with the 6.2 supercharged V8 with an all new 717 horsepower over the previous 707. This is one of your last opportunities to buy a new Hellcat as Dodge is discontinuing the supercharged 6.2 in 2023.

The Widebody kit has numerous things besides wider 305/35ZR20 tires and fender flares. It also has 6 piston/4 piston front/rear Brembo brakes, dynamic adjustable suspension, shift light, and other features. It is definitely worth the $6K difference. Also, the Hellcat contains the Widebody package as standard.

Will the GT have an option where you can choose the hood with 3 air scoops? When I google Challenger 2022 I see a gray challenger with 3 air scoops and a orange badge on the front of the car so I was wondering if it would only come with 1 functional air scoop or 3

The scat pack would never complete with either earlier Lamborghini or Ferrari models. The reason is the power to weight ratio. They may have close to the same horsepower, but the challenger scat pack 392 weights well over 4200 lbs. Similar hp means nothing when your vehicle weighs nearly at or over 800- 1000 lbs.
Also, the shaker hood on the scatpack with the bonnet intake is not a blower. A blower is what goes atop a super charger in the case of a carbureted engine. In the case of a fuel injected engine the super charger is the blower.
