Thats what these are for pal
@@cvrpov Big help indeed cheers
I like it when people try to do their own repairs and realize after a youtube video it ain't as easy as it looks, takes years to learn these skills, guy brought a classic car to me said would I finish it for him just wants a polish, was lots of dings left in and runs basically I had to undo all his work and put it right, but all said and done these vids are great the guy knows his stuff, respect to him don't know the guy but it seems everything he does is exactly the same way I go about things and I was self-taught but been doing it 30 years or so, he even as the same tools and guns lol.
super talented lad
Very kind of u

Great video. What size sanding block are you using?
Wow great end result mate, thanks for the clear to the point video👍🏼
do you use a power invertor in your van to power things like heat lamp etc?
no we always use customers electric mate
@@cvrpov 🤣🤣And if they are not in you use their next door neighbours ! LOL !
is that the old 3M stopper rubber you use for sanding? fantastic job
It is but I sand with the paintgear sanding duo now from www.paintgear.co.uk
Would one of those air compressors from screw fix that come with a few accessories include a paint gun be any good for amateur use? Or better than rattle can at least?
Süper👍
Thanks
You Sir, Are Amazing! I got hooked on your channel and subscribed about a month ago. I am a novice and have a question on your heating technique. Are you using quartz heat lamps?
Thanks for the sub. They are infra red heat lamps I use.
@@cvrpov - Thank You Sir!
Did you use fast hardener
Awesome work, which gun are you using and what size tip
I use iwata lph 80 for base and gti pro lite for clear 1.3
Unreal
Very useful video, thx. What % of thinner do you put in the lacquer, so you dont get orange peel?
Usually a tiny amount if any at all. My usual gun is a 1.3 tip gti pro lite
@@cvrpov thanks for the quick response
How long do you normally leave it before wet sanding? Great repair as always
This particular lacquer takes about 15 mins at 60 degrees then a cool down ready to sand
@@cvrpov hello.. is this 60c or 60f ?
after applying the clear coat and removing the masking, if there are any areas still sanded with grey scotbrite. With polish the shine is recovered? or polish does not remove the stripes from the grey scotbrite? Thanks
Shine is recovered when buffing over the grey scotch marks yes 👍🏼
Quick question as I spray parts of my car in the Garage its a double garage plus also paint wooden doors to update the villa make it look better its the overspray of course all the dust.
I open the back door for ventilation of course but its the overspray which causes concern have you any tips for me that would help or I could do if possible.
dust can be controlled by wetting the floor. perhaps invest in some kind of extraction fan?
@@cvrpov cheers high velocity one I guess cheers from Phil
Is that 1 k or 2 k primer ? How long does it take to dry with the heat gun. Thanks from Kiwi
I use 1k and 2k primers. The 1k is good but not much build. It can however be dried with heat gun where as the 2k needs 30 mins under infra red but much better build and coverage
@@cvrpov Yes i thought so. Thanks for the info....Great channel mate, Stay safe from Kiwi
What is grey scotch or scotch pad and does it have sandpaper grit equivalent. Kindly explain please
Similar to 800/1000 but buffs up like its 1500
what grit grey scotch did you use?
Grey is the grit mate
Is there any courses you recommend for smart repair mate?
Not really mate unfortunately. Id recommended researching and watching videos and maybe practicing on scrap panels
@@cvrpov cheers mate, I will try some scrap panels first, did you start in a bodyshop initially? or have you always been like mobile?
I was always into cars anyway.. been a valeter/detailer for many years (10+). I trained to paint watching the (then very limited videos online) and shadowed a guy in another town. Practice and scrap panels etc
@@cvrpov thats great to hear mate, have always been into cars myself, would love to get into it, appreciate the message, keep your vids coming they are awesome 👌
When will the next clip be out cheers 👌
Hopefully Sunday mate 👍🏼
@@cvrpov Cheers mate looking forward to it.👌
Yeah think it's a gooden
Good job. You Forgot to apply dust coat of etch primer on bare metal.
I dont use etch mate and never had any adhesion problems
Not sure what CV-R uses but with apoxy primer/sealers nowadays etch primers aren't needed. I don't use them and also never had adhesion problems.
What is the brand of your compressor bro ?
Its a 90 ltr abac 3hp belt driven. Never missed a beat
Thanks
@@cvrpov how did manage the noise of it. It so quiet!
Was that 1k primer?
Yes. I use 1k primer from a gun, a hight build aerosol and 2k primer depending on what the damage is
So u dont use any solvents?
Yes I do
How much you charge to repair this?
prices vary
What’s lacquer
I use diamond clear
would you like to give some information about your spray guns and compressor?
brand, nozzle mm, pressure, fan opening, tank Lt ? ?
Compressor 3hp 90 litre belt driven. Base either 1.2 iwata lph 80 or 1.0 devilbiss sri pro. Lacquer usually a gti pro lite 1.3
@@cvrpov thank you for the detailed information.
i only have 0.8mm and 1.0 mm spray gun.. and this is my first job.. can i also spray clearcoat with this or do i really have to buy 1.3 or 1.4mm?
@@Panzehir1881 for small jobs such as bumper corners 1.0 is fine. I used one for years
@@cvrpov thank you ❤
