Thanks for this informative manual. I know next to nothing about engines and ATV. I baught my first 4 wheeler (arctic cat 500 4x4 automatic) I downloaded the service manual. this was perfect. Thanks!
Oh brother, I just got a used 2015 700xt and I have a bad feeling I’ll find something like this! Thanks for the info, I’ll be referencing the video again in a few days.
This was first video watched and I subscribed right away. Your video great, to the point, informative and made it look easy. I have atv for years never done work myself. I have a hard time trusting dealerships as I don't get to see what is being done. Your video will give me easy step by step to do myself. Ty
Love it "Shit ton of water", I clicked subscribe when you spoke your mind, Sir! Hard to find some who are not trying to hard to be a "Pro" or selling something!!!!!!! Thanks
Great video. Thank you for sharing this. I have an 09 thundercat 1000. All of a sudden I have traction only on 1 wheel. There's a new axle and bearing. Don't know what could be wrong.
Thank you for the video. I changed mine today and I think I stripped the drain the plug. Over tightened it. How can I fix or will a new drain plug fix it.
You mentioned that the actuator got 'hooped.' Does that mean the actuator has a failsafe if the fluid is low or non existent that it won't engage? My 4wd was working fine until a few weeks ago. I watched your video on testing the circuit and followed it. At first there was intermittent voltage at the plug, but now nothing. There is power at the switch though. Any advice would be appreciated.
Question… My rear differential seems to be leaking a little on one side from where the axle goes into it. It’s a brand new axle. Could it be a worn out or busted at the rear differential? Any pointers on how to fix that leak?
Hi. Need a lil help here! I got a 05 650. No brakes so I did all new calipers. Still no brakes. Just replaced master cylinder still no lock. Handle still don't seem to be doing much. Pretty lose goes all the way in! Any ideas what it might be? Thanks
Jerry I have changed the diff oil three times and it looks just like yours coming out and I don't go in deep water ever. Mine has a spec of so many ounces and to me not enough but I went with it. I have not tried the amsoil before maybe I should.
Shit thats scary. I've gotta check mine asap. dealer said they checked it but I've herd to many horror stories about units leaving the shop with low or unchecked diffs.
Thank you for taking time to do these videos. They help me tremendously and give me more confidence to do the jobs myself.

Had the hardest time getting 17mm on the front diff. Try again tmrw, good video. Looks the same as my 2014 550

Dumb question, how do you know when you are an inch below the diff fill hole?

dont understand why the factory didnt install a overflow bolt on the back like they did on the front it would be easier to fill
Question…

Dude, you never mentioned what diff oil to use?

They couldn't put a fill check on both diffs...of course not, the amsoil fluid running fine in the diffs?
There’s no seal that will keep water out, they have to be changed regularly if you drive thru water 😊
Good to know. Thanks good video. I also have a arctic cat atv
+rstum28 how has it been treating you
Wouldn’t brake clean eat away at rubber seals in the diff? I did that once and the seals blew
What Amsoil are you using in the rear diff??
Can you use any 80-90 gear lube?
Jerry I have changed the diff oil three times and it looks just like yours coming out and I don't go in deep water ever. Mine has a spec of so many ounces and to me not enough but I went with it. I have not tried the amsoil before maybe I should.
+STEVE ROB 3x’s lol you don’t even work it the original oil is most likely still good
You helped out a lot thanks you did a grate video
Did you notice any difference in driving the unit while it had water in the diffs?
Didn’t notice any difference
Shit thats scary. I've gotta check mine asap. dealer said they checked it but I've herd to many horror stories about units leaving the shop with low or unchecked diffs.
What if you fill it to the bottomnof the fill plug. What if you dont give an inch below ??
Ive bought three prowlers this summer. The front dif was leaking and bone dry in every one. Put some stop leak along with gear oil hoping it works.
If there is water in the diff, i would check the boots, replace all seals be cause you will have the same issue later on.
Can't the water come through the vent though?
well done vid thanks for sharing.
Is that a torn boot I see where your index finger is at 3:21
+BuddyLe3 nope they are all cracked though
👍👍👍😁
How to refill if yiu have no pump ?
Thank you too much master
Think this maybe why my 4wheeler barely moves under its own power 😑 freak me might need a hole new rear ended
Do I have to have a pump and hose? Can't I just use a funnel?
You can if you want
I just snapped my plug so don't over tighten them
Same. Barely tightened it
What’s the front diff breather like? no oil man
+Tony Appo that will come much later on
@1:22 MOTHERFUCKING WATER TIME
thank you!
You should say the tool sizes
Literally says 8mm drain plug 17mm fill plug
Fucking awesome

They are not fucking submarines. WTF
Arctic CRAP!
