    Most likely it is a main bearing seal or input shaft seal leaking engine oil or transmission oil. There might also be a crack in the block or transmission case. We recommend taking your vehicle to a mechanic to determine where the oil is coming from. After the oil leak is fixed, thoroughly clean the clutches and replace the belt. The belt and clutches must be oil free to function properly.

    Yes. The machine we’re working on in the video is an Arctic Cat 400, but the procedure is similar for every Arctic Cat ATV.

    This is difficult to diagnose without seeing the drive. The cause could be a lot of things. Start by inspecting the belt and clutches for any sign of damage.

    As you can see the (new) belt is not sitting at the proper hight in the secondary clutch.

    The procedure varies by make and model. Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

    How do I take the torque sensing off? I snapped my belt and I need to take it off to get the pieces out

    Will this work on a 2010 Arctic Cat Prowler 550 xt? I saw somewhere else that you need to remove the pulleys. Be nice not to have to. Sounds like a lot of trouble.

    What about when she's so ready she removes my belt and quickly throws it into the thickets?? Happens last year I ended up using my spare bungee cord, worked but a belt locater I could clip onto my belt incase she gets so hot again and throws my belt aside into the thickets

    Why would my belt rub the case around the secondary clutch on a 2003 Arctic cat 500 auto 4x4?? I'm stumped on this one.....

    My 2005 650 belt red light is coming on and I can't speed pass 10 miles. It's sounding too forced after that 10 mph. Could it be My belt or does sounds like something else?

      Your vehicle is in limp mode. You have to either take it to a dealer or look for online instructions on how to reset it. It will stay in limp mode until it is reset.

    Primary clutch Bolt size ?

  • @Truckman1980
    @Truckman1980 Год назад

    Another video by arctic cat shows having to remove both clutches to change the belt. According to this video that's completely unnecessary

    • @UltimaxBelts
      @UltimaxBelts  Год назад

      Our engineers have found that if the clutch has the holes to thread in a bolt to open the secondary, then there is no need to remove the clutches. However, we suggest that you always follow the recommendations of the vehicle manufacturer.
