Besides using it for treats I think the bag is also perfect for your waste-bags! That way you will always have them with you. Maybe make a slot in the side to pull them out. Thanks for the tutorial.
+AafkeArt That was exactly my thought when I saw the treat bag. I don't like to overdo the treats, so I don't always carry them with me. My dog isn't treat motivated. (Unless I want to carry pieces of chicken around all the time.) But I do like to have the waste bags on hand. It is a MUST!
+chesh kat , yes, while I do use treats training, and I did have them on hand when we were potty training, but a waste bag is far more important, and it is so cute having one which matches!
First of all, thank you for this tutorial, I am about to be a new puppy mom and I tend to sew handbags so now I will be making leashes. Secondly, I freaking love your nails lol I got a little distracted by them.
Hey, can you please write in the description the list of items you use? It would be very helpful to know the spelling for people like me, who're neither english native speakers nor professional tailors. Using inches and cenimeters at the same time would also be very nice.
This looks like such a great project. :) I've started to study recently and it's taking up "free" time to learning sewing and watch project tutorials :( I miss my sewing machine and working with the notions. .LOL!!! But, I made some time tonight to watch this fabulous sewing project..so once my semester is done.. it's sewing madness :) as always Professor Pincushion ... great video and thanks for making them!!!
What kind of sewing machine are you using? i'm planning to buy a familiar sewing machine, but im afraid that doesn't work with that strap because is too thick ? thanks
Just signed up! Do you think this as well as the dog collar would work with some sort of cotton fabric, instead of the ribbon? Would it be more washable perhaps?
+Lexia Marie Do you mean sew cotton to the nylon webbing? Yes, you can definitely do that. You'll just need to finish or add fray check to the edges because cotton frays pretty bad. If you make one, please post a pic on our fb wall :)
Professor Pincushion, can I fold right at the end of each side of the cotton fabric and then sew with it hemmed? Or is this too fiddly and I need to have it professionally cut? Great video thanks x
Can I use cotton strapping? I can’t find nylon my local fabric store has cotton belting or a prop**** something or other but it is a plastic material which I don’t want..
Why is my machine not coping with the folded edge of the leash (at the start of the handle?) I have jeans 100 needle, top stitch in needle, regular in bobbin. It's just sewing in one spot and knotting up
Whenever I have that problem, it's usually because the edge of the webbing is catching in the openings of the feed dogs so it can't advance. Usually, I start with needle down to pin it in place, then gently coax (not force) it forward as I see slowly until the edge is clear of the feed dogs.
If your dog pulls please make sure your not using a flate collar or a homemade leash just until you finish training it basic obedience because its very dangerous for you & your dog.

If it's nylon webbing. Can I seal the end's by running a lighter across the end?
yes, you should be able to do that :)
what are the dimensions of the pattern roughly?
you can make the pouch really any size you want, you just need to draw a rectangle.
is this grosgrain ribbon?
yes, I used grosgrain
How wide is the ribbon?
I think mine is 1" but you can use any size that fits on the webbing
when i get my disability check i will save so i can get my dream sewing machine the baby lock lyric
Are you using a walking foot? It looks like you are.
I was wondering the same thing? Is it a walking foot?
@@livie78 no she is not using a walking foot.
But with nothing to keep the bag closed anything you put in the bag will fall out
There is velcro to keep the bag shut
