Your comment on the emergency stop saved me an afternoon of frantic forum searching. Thank you!

OMG, do you realize your video is the ONLY detailed one I’ve found. I couldn’t install my drivers for 4 days, going back and forth with CS, thank you so much!! Turn on the laser before installing the driver!!

wow, to the UK without shipping £215 for the Pro. Amazing. I would be cutting 3 -6mm ply and some 12mm EVA foam and maybe some 5 - 6mm oak sheet that I have. so I am thinking the 5w would be a better option but if the 10w Pro cuts cuts 3/4 oak that is amazing. Looking forward to see the next video on the cutting side of things.

Hi. To clarify, neither the 5 or 10w laser can do 1/2 oak in on pass. The 10w can do it in fewer passes but the 5w can do it as well, it just needs more passes to get all the way through.

@@3DPrintscape thanks. Did not think either the 5 or 10w would do it in one pass but look forward to your tests. I don’t typically use that thick a material unless I am building cabinets etc. mostly mine would be for the much thinner stuff for rc boats and Eva foam. Question though. What is the longest piece that can be cut. Guessing on the diagonal.

It would depend on how wide the piece is but if its thin then diagonal. You may be able to get to 450 mm that way. @@andrewpbclarke

Hi do I need to change the line interval/DPI settings in lightburn for the mecpow x3 pro w10 when engraving a photo? If so do you have any good setting? Thanks.

Hi. You dont need to but it could help with quality. It will depend on the material used but i try not to go under 200 dpi.

How do you ventilate it I’m looking k start engraving first time and have no clue what’s needed if I have to purchase extra materials or how I would ventilate

Hi. In most cases, a separate fan is enough. I was using a fan with my window open, really to just force the smoke out of the house.

Hi. I dont have a good answer here. It has more than enough power but i dont have a roller to do the curved engraving so i cant test it out.
