Honestly glad you had a smooth time, cus as a local and recurring visitor of Momocon this years change was INTENSE. The crowds were almost doubled from normal, the crowding was sort of atrocious and even attendees thought it was really unfair how FARRR back artists were in that weird double chamber dealers hall layout change. And the map was genuinely so awful I had such a hard time figuring it out because they were trying to map out all the different floors but it was so confusing. I hope they change it back to a more even spread in 2025 (even tho i know momocon is outgrowing itself ) but yeah the crowd control was gnarly and the tossing artists in the back corner sucked as someone who LOVES to support the artist alley :,O !!! Again very glad you and other artists got good sales despite all that!!! its a really good con when its in its usual form.
Oh wow! That is all really great insight to have, thanks for sharing. Yeah it was pretty decent all things considered. I'd love to see what it's like at its fullest potential for sure!
"I turned THIRTY, I can spend all the money I want." I love it. 😂 I'm glad you had so much fun! It's crazy that in California you have so many local markets that you can sell Japanese-inspired goods that you don't even really need to go to conventions. I live in a small town in Arizona and I can't tell you how often I wish i could move to a larger city with more markets that hit my niche. Very very lucky.
surviving 3 decades = I get to buy whatever I want lol. Yes, I've recently only discovered how blessed I am with how many events there are in the Bay Area! Combined with the large asian demographic means there are plenty of Asian themed events outside of conventions for me to sell my art out there and people actually buy! I'm very grateful. I have heard the Phoenix area is starting to pick up a lot more events though. Hope you find some great little gems of events out there!
Ahhh!!! I wish I had gotten off the Momo waitlist too to meet you! I'm glad you had an overall positive experience and hope to cross paths at a convention soon!
omg you're here watching my videos! LOL I watch your vlogs all the time! Thanks for sharing about the collapsible hangers, they saved my butt. Yes, I'd love to sell at the same convention as you one day!
I visited your booth and nabbed both of the free stickers. 🎉 I’ve been scouring youtube for Momocon artist alley content for the past couple of days, so imagine my surprise and delight to seeing your video pop up in my notifications! 😊
Thanks for making RUclips videos and sharing your experiences with us. They're not stupid, and as a NorCal local, I also want to say thank you for representing! There's such an incredible joy from recognizing all the places you travel to, and I just really enjoy hearing you chat in the background as I do something. ❤
@kelsiekishidraws I forgot to say, congrats on a fun con out of state!! You mentioned you've also lived in Hawaii in a previous video, would you ever consider flying out there for Kawaii Con?
@@næntsiyes!! I actually got accepted to Kawaii Kon this past year but couldn’t make it because of work conflicts. This is my only job now though, so if I make it next year I’m definitely going! 🌺

I also love how your brand is so unique; even if I see it from afar, I can recognize it's yours! You're doing an amazing job with your business, art, and life. 🌱 You're achieving your dreams and goals, so it's inspiring and motivating to see how productive and hardworking you are!! Once again, thanks for sharing your Art Journey with us. 🌸🌺
I REALLY appreciate your consistent upload 🤗 I mean how long does it take for you to edit all of this? 😵💫 Also, Cody is 1000% correct! making RUclips videos for your art business is definitely NOT stupid. I'd go as far to say that it is the most effective form of advertisement an artist could do online!! 😆👍it's accessible, more engaging than short form content or IG pictures, and doesn't feel daunting for a lot of people to sit through unlike livestreams. So, keep doing what you're doing because I think it's great 🥰.

cody is so cute with ur mirror check in the black bunny dress! and gratz to getting into momo! and the business cards is a vibe... i forgot i have to order more ;-;
I had a free place to stay but shipping things to my mom's was still a lot. I had two back to back cons (Momocon and Nashville Comicon) and my expenses were still $1331 (the Nashville event was only like $160 of that bc also free hotel, free parking). Glad you did so well!
Dang what a cheap hotel stay!! I feel like we paid so much for our hotel, but I enjoyed our stay and the convenience of it sm that I can't say I regret it. Hope your back to back conventions were profitable and worthwhile!
@@kelsiekishidraws Nashville Comicon wasn't worth it haha but it was only my second convention, Momocon was my first. Midwest doesn't seem to have much for cons but I grew up in Atlanta so I am always looking for an excuse to get back to see everyone.
