There was some behind the scenes drama that may have caused the big drop in attendance. There is usually a large tabletop gaming room which draws a lot of people, but after the last KawaiiKon, there was a falling out between the organizer and all the people who ran the tabletop room.

Are you all "poke'd" out, did you get your fill till the next visit? A shame the turnout wasn't better, I wonder if they didn't market the convention much. I didn't even realize this took place until this video, and I can't recall any friends mentioning it either. Typically at the very least people would mention events at the Convention Center as a heads-up for possible traffic in the area.

I was next to you at Old Taku....it was great to have you next to us over the weekend. I saw this video in my recommended list and was surprised when I started watching and saw you and then me in the corner. I do have to say the poke looked great. It was great getting to meet you and Cody and hopefully we will see you at future cons.

Sadly enough, that has been one of the worst cons they had in years now. The show out was so small in comparison to even events they had in previous years.

I think it’s a combo of Filipino, Chinese, and Portuguese background. 🙌🙌🙌 Also I never knew there were no don quijotes in cali! 👁👄👁 Cody with the kimchi squat holding a lil sea urchin though LOL he always looks so happy to be included 🥲🫶 The luau portion, “So Hawaiian.” “He’s my brother.” LOLOLOL I do think Polynesian Culture Center is one of the last “non-gimmicky” luaus. Congratulations on breaking the sales record again! 🤩The new convention setup is impressive, and the net is an innovative solution. It's not only practical but also enhances the overall appearance of the setup 😆 I honestly have never attended these types of events, but I think I'd spread my money across several businesses 😁 because I won't feel the need to attend a convention in the first place if I'm only interested in buying from one seller (which is very unlikely tbh) ☺. I also do the knee-up thing 😂 it creates a nice leaning place when I'm eating or using a computer.
