Scalar Performance, a new EV club racing platform.
We check out the new SCR1 Racecar and spoke to Brian, a co-founder about the project.
Brian Bourne singlehandedly changed the course of my 2022 year with this project, all stemming from a simple Instagram story.
I saw a brand new GR86 being taken apart and he invited me over to check it out. Pretty stoked to work on taking apart the car as well. This was also my first visit to RCLUB ever and little had I known I would later become a club member, meet a ton of new friends/fellow racers, and even did some driver coaching with them at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
I'm really excited for the future of racing, Brian and the team put it all together - EV torque/simplicity, an engaging sportscar platform, and most importantly, run by a racer himself, in collaboration with both US and Canadian local businesses in the process. Really hyped on this.
