I was on Testosterone shots for about 2 years. I'm 53 and they told me it was normal for a mam "my age." It was really low, I believe around 200. On the shots, it was around 600. This while doing low carb - about 65 a day. I went carnivore and after three months my testosterone was 1100! The Dr. told me I was taking too much testosterone. I told them I didn't change my dose, I just fixed my diet. No more T shots for me.

I started carnivore in May of 2021 as a way to loss weight. I was 340lbs at the time and suffering from crippling back pain. I was going to an orthopedic doctor regularly for PT and doses of anti-inflamatories/pain killers/muscle relaxers. That coupled with 30 minutes of stretch would get me through the day. Within a week of eating carnivore. My back pain was completely gone. The only time it's come back is if I veered off of the carnivore diet. It's been almost a year and I'm down 90lbs.

@@Chris-kr7gg My original weight was 280. I've dropped 2 pants sizes and 58 lbs. Although my shirt size is the same. I believe my body composition has changed. I no longer needed blood-pressure meds at 2 months into carnivore. I think more needs to be said about watching your blood-pressure. I was weaning myself off the last two weeks due to low blood-pressure. Taking those meds when your body doesn't need them wasn't good. I also have stopped snoring. My girlfriend used to wear earplugs to bed. My neighbors complained they could hear me snore through the wall, so we had to rearrange our bedroom. I didn't start exercising until 3 months into carnivore. And it's really strange how your body doesn't get sore. I have never been to a gym, never in my life. I'm maxing out on my lifts without any sore or fatigued muscles the following day. My mental and emotional well-being has improved. And my sense of smell is so acute that I've changed my laundry detergent to unscented. And I feel like the list goes on and on. I'm really a different person all together. Thanks for asking.

I'm still not ready for OMAD. 5 months. I'm almost TMAD. But so many people jump in the deep end and try to do OMAD and fasting right away. I don't want to be hungry, I'm tired of being hungry. It's a process of healing, I try to tell people fasting comes naturally when your body is ready.

    • @HappyBeeTV-BeeHappy
      @HappyBeeTV-BeeHappy 2 года назад

I guess. But not all the time. Bcuz when I got started fasting I bought the fasting book from Dr. Fung, read the whole thing, and then just went ahead and did it. I put myself out there to see how fasting is and how it effects the appetite. And I found that what they say about it is true, that after the first day the hunger goes away.
And then from my first experience I found that even on the first day you’re not really hungry and it’s just a mental thing. Bcuz how can you be hungry when all you do is eat. You just ate a couple of hours ago so how can you be hungry. It’s just a mental thing where psychologically you’re saying: Oh shit! I’m not eating! And I’m hungry! But is not really so.
So just do it and get started.

@Jett I´ve done OMAD for almost 4 years now and felt I had to just accept that I would feel somewhat hungry at some point before my next eating window. That changed when I read Fast, Feast, Repeat recently, and realized that I wasn´t doing a truly ´clean' fast. The author explained that even peppermint tea, chamomile, etc could make the taste buds feel like it was something sweet and would release insulin in preparation for food, just like it does if we have something very sweet like diet soda (causing hunger). Long story short, I now only have black coffee, water and black or green tea without any flavors whatsoever and it absolutely makes a difference in my hunger levels. I simply don´t feel hungry before my eating window comes.

Excellent, excellent video!! I can confirm everything Dr. Kiltz is saying. For the last two months, I rented a home in southern Florida (from New Jersey). Ate and drank whatever for the last month I was Florida. Before that, I was basically carnivore. The difference I felt in my body after eating and drinking whatever, was astounding. Sluggish, gaining belly fat and not feeling alert. I have been home for one week and I am back on my intermittent fasting and carnivore diet. I'm almost back to where I was before this last month....alert, no inflammation and incredibly energetic. Truly wish more people would give this a try. I will be turning 65 years old in May and have never, ever felt better. Thank you for posting!! Best, Angela

Interesting interview. I haven't heard of this Dr. before. I listened to "somebody" last July and quickly stopped listening to him thereafter. After 4 years of eating strict carnivore, I added a teaspoon full of honey to my plain yogurt. One spoonful soon turned into several and then I was binge eating honey which led to binge eating cookies, while desperately trying to get back to my wonderful time of strict carnivore. I'm still struggling now. I have times where I think I'm over it but I'm not. I just can't handle sugar in moderation.

Hi Steak and Butter Gal! The RUclips algorythms suggested your channel - As a 6x cancer survivor, turned Heroic Life and Wellness Coach, this was informative yet I do have a different opinion regarding movement and exercise in that it is proven that movement/exercise was essential to our survival just as consuming large fatty animals. While in Bali Indonesia I witness an elderly man quickly and effortlessly scale a 40-50 foot coconut palm tree to cut some coconuts - without any modern equipment. Now if someone doesn't like exercise sure nutrition and other lifestyle factors can be awesome, yet VO2 max uptake combined with overall lower levels of insulin are two major health into longevity markers. Dr. Kiltz and Dr. Chaffee tell this story so well. The idea of eating sparingly is huge to me. We concentrate on what to eat, but rarely concentrate on how to allow the body to clean itself up. To me, this is the most powerful argument to eat what allows us to eat sparingly or irregularly so we operate efficiently and do not start excessive processes in the body which can lead to issues with overworked cells.
We also skip over the fact that all the issues we have come from plants. There is a reason a beef and water diet is the ultimate elimination diet and we don't think that through enough. The problem is that meat and fat has been so vilified for decades that it is little wonder so many people turn to fruit, veg and grains because to them, meat is off the table. Getting people to understand meat and fat do not hurt you is extremely important to start this awakening.
I believe all addictions and cravings stem from poor nutrition at their root. After a year of carnivore, I was able to realize the cravings left and I can now occasionally eat carbs and they don't keep a hold on me anymore. Get healthy and many bad habits go away.

I agree with almost everything he says except the exercise bit. We are meant to move.
You can’t compared us to savages and animals and hunters and not accept exercise as a part of our natural life. If you have ever been in a real hunting trip you know you need to train for it. The nomads didn’t need to train because all they did was train as they lived.
Stop taking your air conditioned car to the grocery store to get your pre-butchered ribeye.
Go out and get yourself and elk.
Take it down with a bow
Break it down, hike it back and butcher it yourself.
And then tell me exercise is not needed.
We didn’t sit about weaving baskets ALL DAY we built weapons and shelter, moved stones and chopped wood and hunted almost everyday.
God designed our bodies to endure physical stress unlike than any other creature on the planet. He also gave us the ability to sweat so that we could endure long hard vigorous activity like stalk hunting, so that we could be king above all animals . This makes us the apex predator.

I don’t know about the not exercising stuff. We exercise to stay strong to contend with threats, as well as to facilitate the exit of exposure to toxins. Also, when I stopped letting my body get cold, I stopped getting injured. I agree about the fat and meat. Not the avoidance of exercise nor the being cold. Health isn’t just food, it’s metabolism. High metabolic rate means no disease. Metabolic rate isn’t just increased by exercise, it’s increased by staying warm.

I lost 4 inches from my waist line this Summer! History: I used to be slim 10 years ago with as low a waist of 28" when very physically active, and crept back to a a normal 32" when I wasn't exercising. But I tried vegan, and I became sicker and sicker. Before I went vegan, I cut out all beef thinking it was healthier. I think I hadn't eaten beef in a decade. I didn't last a year on a vegan lifestyle before I developed autoimmune disorders...Lupus, Hashimoto's Disease. Hair loss, vision impairment, nervous twitches, muscle cramps, skin problems, joint pain and arthritis. And a number of other symptoms. Of course, doctors were claiming it was all psychological. WTF? I kept getting fatter too. 36+" waistline! Bloated, rectal bleeding, hemorrhoids, Candida, prostate, Jaundice, it seemed endless. Then I contracted Omicron this winter, and upon recovery, I discovered a lecture by M. Peterson. About the all beef diet.
I had nothing to lose. I transitioned back to eating beef slowly, then had eggs daily, numerous soft cheeses, eliminated all refined vegetable oils, used coconut oil, beef tallow, and butter. I've since added extra virgin olive oil. I still ate carbs...rice, baked potatoes, pasta, and ramen noodles. I also ate vegetables still. But stopped eating poultry, and fruits and grains, sugar. In 3 months the weight dropped, the bloating went away, my hair grew thick and fast, and my waistline kept shrinking. I'm back to 32". And I did all this without going all in with a meat only carnivore diet! I will be moving on to all meat, fat, eggs, very low carb diet next. The beef, saturated fats and eggs were the major factors to my success and improvements. I'm convinced of it. BTW, I didn't do any daily exercise during this time, and was too ill to be my old physical self all these years due to the autoimmune symptoms. I had no balance, had trouble driving a car. I used to be so fit. Cycled the entire Pacific coast at 50 y.o. And ate healthy, no fast foods, no sodas, no sugars, and no smoking. Gong vegan ruined my health. I now have a path to recovering.
