OMAD and 32/36 hours feel natural, but this month, I want to begin implementing rolling 48s. Excited for the August challenge with both Bella and Raymond! ❤️
I am signed up for August Bella! After you said in a previous video that sharing and talking is not required, I am in 😅Super shy. Hope that will change with carnivore.
I suffered from psoriasis my whole life. I'm not afraid to say this... I lost all friends. Who will ever want to talk with someone so ugly as me... With red skin all over the body. So over time I got isolated, alone. No longer able to be myself, just hiding in the shadow. Imagine not being able to have Summer for 10 years straight. I'm only 26... And I felt life was slipping away. Psoriasis is as bad as it ever been. Steroid creams ruined the skin even more... Worse of all the damage is in the mind. All those crazy thoughts... I'm not good enough... I'm not worth to be happy... I'm not trying hard enough... Maybe I have to suffer...Mental health can be damaged to... But now I find you guys. Amazing carnivore community... With living proof that getting better is actually possible... This finally brings hope. Hope that one day... I can get my life back. If just some one told me this earlier...
I can so identify with your struggles! I saw an improvement of my Psoriasis on Keto. I then went Ketovore and OMAD... Further improvement happened. But I still had it in my hair, causing hair loss, and on my hands feet and elbows still. My hands and feet would bleed as there was no way not to bump them of course. April 1st, 2021 I went Strict Carnivore, head to tail, with only full fat dairy and ONLY Redmond's Pink Salt for seasonings. ONLY one cup of black coffee a day. I am happy to report my Psoriasis is gone all except a pea size spot on one elbow. Yes, gone. I still have some scaring on my hands where it was very deep in the palms of my hands. But even that is clearing up. There is hope. My biggest problem now is not being sure what to do with my found time I used to spend on "doctoring" my Psoriasis before bedtime so I could get to sleep. A great problem I hope you will have soon in your future.
I started fasting in the 1980’s and 1990’s while a vegetarian. During each month I did from 1 day to 3 day fasts which felt great. My Keto journey started about 4 years ago and now this year I am mostly carnivore. Feeling great at age 68 being leaner and stronger with weight training. I am beginning to see my 6 pack abs which is astonishing!
Ok so my journey started 3 months ago I was 100 kilo and had to go get a colonoscopy doctor told me that I was to (fat) and eat to much. I seen your video and just dived in head Frist 48 fasting once a week and 3 to 2 meals a day no Dairy no sugar no snacks. Today I’m 82.6 kilos feel and look better. I’m able to do things I haven’t done in years
I think for all the excellent content creators on social media, these two communicate the complexity of carnivore and fasting like no other. This knowledge is a godsend to those lucky enough to find it. Thank you both so much.
What an eloquent, brilliant, and poised young lady. Such rare traits in young women these days. We need more Bella's in this world! And more of her piano playing!!!
I started fasting about 20 years ago, at age 50, and built up from 3 day fasts, 10 day fasts, then finally did a 21 day water fast. I saw so much healing and rejuvenation with fasting, it was wonderful! But this was in combination with a vegan diet, which I realized was not the best way to go for me. Fast forward to now, I am mostly carnivore, and would love to combine the benefits of fasting with the wonderful benefits of carnivore. Great video!
this was SO great! I'm such a huge advocate of fasting and think of fasting and "feasting" as "primal fasting"! Coming from a background of disordered eating, I can totally vouch for the fact that fasting can be so healing for mental health!
This video turned up in my recommended at the perfect time. I’ve been strict carnivore for nearly 3 months and I’ve, like most carnivore been eating 1 or 2 times a day. Today is the first time I decided to do a 48hr fast. Im currently half way through and your video turned up.👍👍 Really found this inspiring with great information. Thank you
Yesterday after watching your video I was encouraged to fast till 24. So I’ve reached 27 hours! I want OMAD! So I’m waiting our August challenge with impatience!!! Thank you for that!
Loved this thank you Bella & Raymond for sharing this! Being apart of your community is awesome. I’ve noticed body composition changes since I’ve been fasting… thank you for all of the advice 💛
Thanks to your videos and IG Lives, I am now able to do OMAD's everyday for the past 2 weeks!!! No pain, no hunger, no cravings. I think I am doing it right. Bella, THANK YOU!!! The food freedom you mentioned is exactly what I am feeling now. It is so freeing to eat just one meal a day...I can only imagine the freedom for 48 hr fasts 😆😆😆
I'm trying Full range carnivore, I fast Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays... And I Feast with one big meal usually at dinner on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays... I'm 2 weeks in. Feeling good so far.
I've done a 1 week fast. Was planning on doing longer but quit there because I wasn't drinking electrolytes due to taste and my heart rate went up probably due to electrolyte imbalance so I will be sure to drink it next time I go that long. I make Cole Robinson's Snake Juice recipe for electrolytes. Dr. Ken Berry has a ketoaid one also. Salt, no salt and water. I definitely believe a 72 every month would be a good idea for apoptosis for cancer prevention. I have not done it though because after the last fasting experience I have been hesitant to try again. You were smart to go slow and ease into it. Raymond's no white knuckling it approach sounds smart too! I wanted to try again but might try to to 1) get into ketosis first , to with help hunger and 2) try to ease off my caffeine addiction so I can go water only without the nasty withdrawals
Great ideas before trying the fasting again. Sorry you had a negative experience! Also consider Raymond's "feasting and stuffing" so you encourage the fasting to happen naturally.
I did the same thing, My first fast I went 86 hours and did not replenish my electrolytes but did use salt but my heart was racing and palpitations and started feeling really bad, so yeah I do electrolytes which I make homemade electrolytes and feel really good on fasting.
Good morning Ms ISABELLA Very very happy l lost 5 lbs in 4 weeks carnivore with out effort, going for other 4 weeks IAM 6 ft 2 in and 192 lb today Have a lovely day Love PALAPAS
Great video. I'm working toward the rolling 48. I can do one pretty easily but not the rolling yet. So far my longest fast has been 55 hours. I am 3 year carnivore and on the 3rd month of beef only and now doing steak only. It is a journey and I love hear how you both have navigated that path. Thank you. 🥩🥩🥩❤❤❤
I’m currently on a Ketovore (mainly carnivore) way of eating and I knew being a carb addict that if I didn’t keep myself full by eating even when I wasn’t hungry for the first week or two of starting that I wouldn’t make it. After about a week and a half I feel great and my sugar cravings or nearly nonexistent.
Another Awesome video Thanks Much Love ❤❤❤..I've been Carnivore/OMAD for 11 months and started 48 hour fast every week ..I feel amazing I'm 67 years old Love the new me..❤❤❤
I loved fasting breakdown with Raymond. There’s an internal nudge in me to start fasting, currently I can do 12 - 14 easily with 2MAD mostly, snacks/3rd meal depending on the day’s circumstances. My first goal is working towards to OMAD but my current schedule is unpredictable. I definitely look forward to experiencing that clarity / uptopian feeling someday!
Wow! This was very informative. So I just signed up to your Feb. 2023-BBB & E, my norm has been eating when I’m hungry, OMAD, with my husband. We eat at 5 pm or earlier normally. After Sunday meal I go to Wednesday, with a 3 pm :20 minute eat. Then have a normal dinner with him. Since I’m not able to get on your site yet. Not sure when or if… I’m posting here. Shalom!
I like the 12 to 4 hour eating window of the alternate day because I was doing OMAD with it and 36 hours would turn into 48 because I don’t like eating until the middle of the afternoon
Btw I am carnivore for 3 years now and I like omad but I always use salt when I feast. I am very interested in doing no salt from now. This channel is very informative and just the information I needed.
I have recently been not eating regularly for 48+ hours. It naturally just sort of happened over time as I just started only eating when I was actually hungry. Went through the usual progression from eating a couple of times a day to once a day, which is still the norm, to occasionally skipping a day or two.
Thank you for the clarifications. The first time Raymond was on, I was lost. I’m someone who does fast once a month from 3-5 days on top of my OMAD. Will try rolling 48 in my next fast and see how many I could do!
I can definitely see how this could be something some would obsess over and restrict themselves more and mor! Especially if you already have a problem with food and restricting
I enjoy 24hr fasts for sure but doing a 48 hr one felt enlightening and healing. I didn't push myself like you said for new carnivore, but 16-18 hr was a breeze.
Thanks so much for all your insights! I’ve been keto for a year and a half and then carnivore for the past 9 months focusing primarily on steak. OMAD most of the time. For the beginning of July, I tried two weeks of 48, 48 & 72, just rib eye. The first week I had very minimal issues making it without a problem. The second week’s 48’s were also no problem but the 72 was tough but was able to make it. Definitely could see my stubborn belly fat disappear. My main issue especially in the second week was very loose stool. Sorry to be gross. Is this an electrolyte issue, or is there something else that I’m missing? Thanks again!
The loose stool is a way to say that you are pushing the fast. You just did to much to fast. It's ok try again and your body will eventually adapt. Saying that if it's diarreah then stop. This is why our challenge is created to troubleshoot these issues. Join us and also to give a sense of community. sbg-s-meat-up.mn.co/all-groups
I’ve been OMAD for mostly 3 years… but I want healing for digestion. I haven’t been carnivore but keto-ish. I’ve joined & hope to heal. I mostly eat prime rib.
I am in a different situation than almost everyone who starts a carnivore diet or fasting. I have 10% or less fat, am very muscular but trying to put on more mass as I'm a small guy. I'm trying to fix my pre-diabetes symptoms and finding this the best overall diet (along with other alkaline diets). First, when I eat it takes an hour or more for my meal instead of 15-30 minutes. Then I wait an hour and half before consuming water (I had to adjust to that as it was hard to go without water during feeding at first). I'm also finding that eating 4 big meals (50 grams protein per meal) is causing me to LOSE WEIGHT! Keep in mind I have no visible body fat, fit into 31 inch pants (32 too loose, 30 uncomfy), and am lifting about the same or more than before. I'm worried I will continually wither if I fasted everyday if I'm already losing mass eating a lot. Am I the oddest ball out? I'm getting into this already fit and am wondering if there's a benefit to fasting every day if I'm trying to gain mass. I have a few planned multi-day fasts each year for body and digestive healing.
Hi! First I want to thank you for your great videos and all the information you put out there! It is helping me so much! ❤️ I am 4 weeks into carnivore, before I was around 6 months keto and before that vegan for 10 years. So I already feel the benefits. I would like slowly to get into fasting. Until now I eat 3 meals a day. So I have one question. You mentioned that you eat fat while fasting. So eating Butter and fat trimmings is ok while fasting? It's kind of fat-fasting? Sending love and gratitude your way! ❤️🙏
The price of rib-eye has gone up lately. I've been leaning on chuck steaks heavily. Also ground beef with liver, heart and kidney. Costco in my area has a good price on eye of round though I had to slice it myself.
Expect cost of meat to increase. I don't live there, but just heard a new law will make bacon the latest on the "chopping block" in California next year. Meanwhile, we're bombarded daily with ads to indulge in all the toxic seed oils, pesticide-laden grains, sugar and alcohol 😒
So what should I do directly after consuming a monster OMAD meal at 6:00 pm. Sleep? Walk? Move my body? I am always confused about this. What's the system?
I'm currently on a 3 day fast (which I try to do a few times a year) to reset the immune system & for anti-aging (according to Dr. Valter Longo's research)
Have been doing rolling 48’s and doing great. Not eating is pretty easy for me given my degree of long term fat adaptation. The only thing I’ve added as an experiment are some shirataki noodles for some low carb prebiotic fiber. I’ve also switched to my feast meal being in the morning to fuel me through the day and workout and also figure I’ll be into fat burning zone while I sleep at night more than 12 hours after eating.
So ribeyes with no salt? I've been pretty much ribeyes and beef burger. But I've been using himalayan salt. I haven't seen significant weight loss on the scale. But I definitely need new pants and people telling me that I look like I've lost weight. To hell with the scale. Lol But I'm going to try the saltless steak with my omad eating habit.
I managed a 60 hr fast once. It was hell my throat was killing me after. I stck to a 24hr fast once a week on my day off now. I can manage that fairly easily
Have you ever done a dry fast? It is said that a 24hr dry fast (no water, liquids of any kind) is akin to a 72 hour water fast. Would be interested in if you’ve done this and if so, your thoughts?
I have trained my body to go longer with fasts by doing alternate day fasts with 36+ hrs, sometimes I go beyond the 72 just for the freedom. I am currently 140 hrs into a 168 hr fast. How do we safely break that long of a fast? I just started eating carnivore like two weeks ago, and I definitely don’t want to upset my system by just diving back into carnivore. Thanks for any help!
Thomas Delauer says to break your fast you should always start off with a small amount of protein but not cheese. Then wait a bit then have a bigger meal
Awesome channel! Just curious how long does it roughly take for carnivore to work? I’m a week in and have noticed my skin issues slightly getting better but still feel tired and hungry all the time?
I have been eating 2 meals a day for the last 2 years, sometime I would do one day when I was preparing for a 3 day fast. None of this changed anything. I still couldn't sleep, lucky if I lost one pound, and no energy, plus I have low back pain which was a real problem when it came to moving very far. After 66 days on a carnivore diet my health is worst then when I started.
Hi, I have been just like you! About 6 weeks into keto (started with carnivore but I was feeling bad after 2 weeks, keto felt amazing) now and I can go for several hours into the day without eating and I am hardly feeling the hypoglycemia (16:8). Fat adaption is what I think makes this possible, not dependant on carbs all day to feel ok. I’m going to try fasting again soon(OMAD or ADF), but I think becoming fat adapted will make the process much easier (I managed a 10 minute run too! Felt feint afterwards though…). Also, grain intolerance gave me symptoms near identical to hypoglycemia too, not sure if that is very common, but something to be aware of (typical glutens + corn and rice).
Please can someone explain to me what "feasting" really is with regards to rolling 48s. What eating window length should I be doing? I think I may not be eating enough between the fasts and I have a history of disordered eating so I don't want to get into the habit of restricting too much. I want to eat well so that I am getting the full energy benefit of the fast.
Last January I had shoulder surgery and 10 days later got C diff, very severe case. When I came home I could not eat meat at all. I was mostly carnivore before surgery and c-diff. My gut was ruined between my colon and the antibiotics. Now trying to return to carnivore but still can't eat meat as much as before. I feel like my digestion is still not normal. I just bought digestive enzymes and hope it helps. Any suggestions? I am trying to lose 20 lbs. 5 ft 68yrs, was generally healthy before surgery, just overweight. @ 132 lbs. My family>type 2 DM. I've been low carb since 2003, and carnivore for the las 3-4 yrs. Due to having to eat very bland food, white rice, tea and toast for over 1 month post surgery, I now have major cravings and can't eat as much meat as before.
I'm a big guy 6'5" 350 and after a week my body is allowing me to do 16hr fast. The desire to eat all the time has vanished. I will probably start 24 hr fast on weekends.
My whole life I've ate till my arm hurts. Don't know what that's about but when I cook I've always feasted. When bessy gives up the ghost I will have to try this out.
@@Norman_Gunstan1 yah my beef cow is still breathing. I'm guessing the dry weather is keeping the meat off her bones. I'm down to twenty pounds of burger and nothing else. I've got 3 empty deep freezers.
@@Norman_Gunstan1 and I'm cheap. I get a whole cow for 3 bucks a pound dry weight. That's around 4 bucks trimmed and packed. Plus I get the heart liver kidneys stomach tail and the best part...the ears, I get one and the crow gets the other.
thank you for sharing that. I agree you can be low carb meat heavy to feel good doing these fasts, but I do think lack of carbs makes fasts much easier.
It is interesting and well presented. I just wonder why he says people should eat within 15 to 30 min. In 15 min. nobody can eat slowly and sufficiently. I would be a kind of a hasty gobbling. I worked hard to get used to eating slowly - 15 min. - no way.
Love these videos, signed up for the 30 day challenge. This videos comes at a perfect time. I travel for work every other week and would love to be able to fast for the 48 hours instead of struggling wiht food
yea OMAD everyday made my metabolism crash. i don't think this is get for those who are prone to be overweight. after months on omad i didn't lose anything and coming off of it i blew up like a balloon. for some fasting everday is not good
I’ve done pretty regular 72 and 36 hour fasts for a while. I also had a pretty easy transition into carnivore with basically no side effects other than carb cravings because I had a pretty high meat diet already, can you or anyone else in the thread tell me if fasting is different on carnivore? Or is it pretty much the same? I know some of the weight loss benefits would kick in faster due to already being in ketosis, but is it easier more more difficult?
Bella and Raymond...I'd greatly appreciate your insights into the following 😀 I've had serious health issues plus eating disorders for many years. I've been IF for a while. Carnivore for 4 months. Healing and body composition changing. I've successfully fasted 3 5 days. 36hrs is comfortable. Mostly I'm on 2MAD. Any suggestions as to how long to fast for someone whose body is still in healing phase? I'm 55.5kgs, how much to eat? I'd love to join group but with existing commitment and time differences, I'm unable to attend meetings yet. Hoping to join in September. Thanks in advance 🙏 ❤
so the real trick is to eat until stuffed every meal. This in essense makes fasting a much easier process. From there work on a challenging but doable schedule working your way up to rolling 48s. for example do adf comfortably for 1 week then take a 3 2MAD feasting break and then try for 1 roll of 48 and then 3 day break and then 2 rolls. Hope this helps.
@@rnazon much appreciated 🙏 Will experiment. Some days I'm a lot more physically active than others. Some Drs I've been following on yt, say for women post menopause, best not to go for OMAD or even 2MAD, rather fuel up every 2-3 hours. I am post menopause and when very active, I notice my energy can drop off completely if I'm not fuelled up. I find this challenging to know how to handle when work may necessitate being super busy. Any suggestions regarding fasting in this situation would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙏 😉
Will you be doing another training in September? I'm currently on my third week of a 21-day fast. Once I get my digestive system up and running we will be going on a cruise so I plan on feasting well there but no junk. Then I'm looking at doing two 48-hour fast each week.

Shalom!
Great segment of fasting! exactly what I would like to find out!
I like the 12 to 4 hour eating window of the alternate day because I was doing OMAD with it and 36 hours would turn into 48 because I don’t like eating until the middle of the afternoon
Love this. I had never heard of the rolling 48's before. I'm going to join challenge and try. Thanks!!
Woohoo!! See you in the meetings. Raymond would be thrilled to get you there!
Btw I am carnivore for 3 years now and I like omad but I always use salt when I feast. I am very interested in doing no salt from now. This channel is very informative and just the information I needed.
Easily the best SBG video!
One of my favorite subjects. Would love expanded discussion/ interview
Can't wait to watch this during my fast today haha! Perfect timing. Doing a 36 today
Hope you enjoy!!
Thank you for another great video! I am so pumped for this challenge!! What was that beautiful piece of music you were playing at the end? ♥️♥️♥️
Woohoo! Can’t wait to meet you! I played Satie gymnopedie no. 1 and Chopin winter wind.
Love the food idea's and you should include the piano playing in more videos 🤩
Very informative ~ greatly appreciated
I enjoy ADF and have done it along with some 72hr, and even a 16 day since 2017. For me now I don't see any reason to eat on a daily basis.
I’m all for the 48 hour fast. 16 hrs to me is a hardly more than a joke. Strictly for fasting beginners in my opinion.
Love your channel. Love your piano music.
So clear and concise! Thank you!
Whatever she's eating... it works! ❤
Great morph from Satie to Chopin. Well Done!
Thank you:)
Outstanding information ‼️‼️
What do you think of rolling 72 hour Fast? I'm a veteran when it comes to fasting so it should be easy for me. What's your opinion on it?
I enjoy 24hr fasts for sure but doing a 48 hr one felt enlightening and healing. I didn't push myself like you said for new carnivore, but 16-18 hr was a breeze.
So so true. Something magical about the 48's 🔥
Do you just drink water on a 48 hour fast? I want to do it right.
Any thoughts on rolling 48 hour fasts but eating some grassfed butter before workouts for energy?
I needed this this morning.. I’m starting a fast today🤞 well I’m gonna try..
Bella can we do morning coffee during this? I'm eating now 3PM EST and plan to not eat again till 5PM tomorrow
I was fasting on keto and did not feel better. I'm not going to fast on carnivore until my six months are complete. I need to allow healing first.
I am 4 weeks into carnivore, before I was around 6 months keto and before that vegan for 10 years.
I’ve gotten Costco’s chuck roast as my steak substitute some weeks and it’s excellent.
Actually in my area the rib roast went down 🤔
@@SteakandButterGal I'm in Florida near Orlando.
Aaaaa
So what should I do directly after consuming a monster OMAD meal at 6:00 pm. Sleep? Walk? Move my body? I am always confused about this. What's the system?
I'm currently on a 3 day fast (which I try to do a few times a year) to reset the immune system & for anti-aging (according to Dr. Valter Longo's research)
Awesome- Congrats and enjoy!
Lol
But I'm going to try the saltless steak with my omad eating habit.
I managed a 60 hr fast once. It was hell my throat was killing me after. I stck to a 24hr fast once a week on my day off now. I can manage that fairly easily
Thank you so much for your super informative videos!
i did 14hours,16hours and 40hours fasting!
Great information thank you so much
I do twenty four hours and then I feast.Omad, Always for autophagy
Might try fasting a bit more!
Wow, you play the hell out of that piano 😮
I am tackling rolling 48s now. I am on 48 number 2. 😀
Yay!
Awesome channel! Just curious how long does it roughly take for carnivore to work? I’m a week in and have noticed my skin issues slightly getting better but still feel tired and hungry all the time?
Thanks! I would give it at LEAST 30 days. I know some carnivores don’t feel their best until 3months later.
@@SteakandButterGal thank you for your reply! I’ve also noticed my liver feels sore / sensitive is that normal?
Thanks 😁
I have been eating 2 meals a day for the last 2 years, sometime I would do one day when I was preparing for a 3 day fast. None of this changed anything. I still couldn't sleep, lucky if I lost one
pound, and no energy, plus I have low back pain which was a real problem when it came to moving very far. After 66 days on a carnivore diet my health is worst then when I started.
I cannot fast. I’m hypoglycemic. Literally every time i try, i have problems and have to eat something….
Also, grain intolerance gave me symptoms near identical to hypoglycemia too, not sure if that is very common, but something to be aware of (typical glutens + corn and rice).
great video !!!
How do you break a fast on carnivore when doing rolling extended fasts of 3 to 7 days?
I like that..
HOW TO VIDEO..
JUST bought 10 Ribeyes with the bone.
They only taste great with the bone..
Is this optimal when you are working out lifting weights 5 or more times per week ?? Just wondering
Great info! Thank you.
Also, I absolutely adore Satie, he’s one of my favorites, both for playing and listening. You always perform so beautifully!
How are the 24hr weekend fasts going?
I don’t wanna ask a stupid question but…on the fasting are you drinking at least water or do you do nothing no food no liquids thank you so much.
My whole life I've ate till my arm hurts. Don't know what that's about but when I cook I've always feasted. When bessy gives up the ghost I will have to try this out.
Bessy has given up the ghost. It's time to try :)
That bottle on the table beside your bed looks like a supplement. What is it?
You don't need to carnivore to feel good doing 48's. I'm just low carb....not even keto....just low carb and I feel great doing 36 and 48 hr fasts.
thank you for sharing that. I agree you can be low carb meat heavy to feel good doing these fasts, but I do think lack of carbs makes fasts much easier.
I did all that and didn't do anything for me. Never lost any weight , felt like shit, no energy.
Can carnivore and fasting get rid of red spots or pimples on my stomach? I’m 10 days in and it got better but some still appear
Woohoo!! Looking forward to meeting you in August!
i’m starting count my fasting 5 hours after my meal because i think that’s how long it take to digest food and completely empty;
yea OMAD everyday made my metabolism crash. i don't think this is get for those who are prone to be overweight. after months on omad i didn't lose anything and coming off of it i blew up like a balloon. for some fasting everday is not good
What if your a man who wants to gain 10 pounds, how often should you eat?
I’ve done pretty regular 72 and 36 hour fasts for a while. I also had a pretty easy transition into carnivore with basically no side effects other than carb cravings because I had a pretty high meat diet already, can you or anyone else in the thread tell me if fasting is different on carnivore? Or is it pretty much the same? I know some of the weight loss benefits would kick in faster due to already being in ketosis, but is it easier more more difficult?
Well I’ve tried it, it’s definitely different, hard to say if it’s harder or easier. Might be slightly easier.
U guys r awesome
Piano was impressive
Ok. I think I got it. 2 meals every other day. I can do that easy peasy.
I most definitely will! :) One step at a time, Mauri!
