I can just picture any resident ghost going, "WHO DARES DISTURB MY HOME?! I SHALL . . . I . . . I . . . oh. Oh my. I-I'll just leave you to it then. Carry on," and slinking back to the attic or wherever.

My house was built by my great-great grandparents in 1886 (wiring & plumbing has been updated of course). Majority of fixtures & lighting is from 1937 when great-grandparents took over ownership then passed to grandparents then to my father. It’s been kept up throughout its history. I took ownership in 2017 & have been trying to restore anything/everything I can to it’s original glory. While restoring original wood floors we had to remove newer flooring & found a hatch into the floor & found all kinds of documents, and original prints from build. Took forever to have wallpaper made in the original print. Also found 12 old tin style photos of house with great-great grandparents.

wow the end result is breathtaking, maybe quite literally. Imagine being invited to a murder mystery party at Christine's, dressing up in vintage clothes, feasting together around this table and then tell each other ghost stories in front of the fireplace. I'm so jealous!

As someone who has a real love for antique wallpaper, I absolutely love the methods you used to restore and replace this wallpaper, and your mindset about replacing what was missing and embracing the age of it while still repairing where needed! I wish more people had this sort of mindset: restore but still make it your own, respect what is antique and already there but give it your own spin in places that are reversible, like simply painting the ceiling in a style that compliments both your tastes and the antique wallpaper. Bravo!

The amount of love and patience that was put into every detail of the wallpaper thrills me. Too often I see people buying up these beautiful old houses for aesthetics, then completely modernizing everything. It really breaks my little old heart to see the history vanish. Her devotion to bring her style and the original home together is refreshing. I can’t wait to consume more content.

What I admire most about christine is that she takes the time to do the hard work and she seems like she genuinely enjoys every minute!
