Glenn Plummer & Clifton Powell deserve Academy Awards!!! 💯
Facts! 💯💪🏾
I’d love to see both of them in a movie
@@Kat_Beezyif you look hard enough you might find one. I swear Clifton has more roles than any actor ever💯
For what roles?
@@arroberson8796 😁😁 That's a damn good question. I can think of a few roles that Glenn has done that were noteworthy but Clifton.....idk.
Back in the day. Me& a few homies was walking in the comedy store. Glenn was near the door. 1of my homies said: O/G Killer Bobby Johnson. He looked us up&down, noticed alot of red. He said "nah, High-Top". We all fell out laughing.
😂😂😂
😅😅❤
Yoooo, I was born in California, but my moms moved my sister and I with her to Charlotte NC when we were kids. But I went back to California for college(USC), and one night me and this girl I was dating went to a Barnes &Noble in Studio City and Glenn was there just chillin, drinking coffee and reading a book. I was like IT’S HIGH-TOP OG KILLER BOBBY JOHNSON!!! The chick I was with was less impressed cause she grew up in LA. So she was used to seeing stars all the time all over town. I wasn’t so I was tripping. Homie was SOOOO NICE. He saw me looking at him and noticed my USC t-shirt and invited us to his table to talk. Really cool brother frfr!!!
That's gold. 😆😂
😂😂😂😂
To know he brought Don Cheadle in on the movie and to see how Dons acting career is now is legendary! What an eye for talent Mr. Plummer
I’m 42, was 7 when colors came out and 11 when South Central came out. They both blew my mind seeing LA life during those times. Certified Classics!! 🫡
Glenn Plummer phenomenal character actor. And he was also great in small roles like: "Menace II Society", "The Corner" and "Sons of Anarchy".
Don't forget South Central!
Salute to you for getting Mr Plummer... One of the greatest actors of his generation. He deserves all the flowers he's getting in these comments.
💯Facts
Nore really made men seem fruity by caring about other men getting flowers.
@@New_Czaropinions
@@user-wb7nv9ht1g Why are you concerned with men recognizing other men’s talents? You’re the only fruit suspect in these comments.
I met this brother at the Century Club in LA in the late 90's. He was super cool. 👊🏽
Glen Plummer one of my favorites who should have been in more movies and is very underrated
That’s Yo ASS Hi-Top 😂😂😂
Glenn Plummer ladies and gentlemen. Good lookin Court 💪🏽
Menace to society is one of my favorite movie from him Pernell
My favorite role from Glenn Plummer was as Blue on the HBO series the Corner.
Absolutely. The precursor to The Wire. Loved The Corner. I remember Charles S. Dutton on the intro.
I think David Simon wrote that also
I remember him in South Central ( and what a performance too ) I also remember the Corner ( have both of these films on dvd ) this was a good interview.Don't see too many people interview Glenn,Charles Dutton,Clifton Powell,etc,etc,..
I don’t remember him on The Corner. I will rewatch it again.
This an OG call!
Glen was one of my favorite actors!
Glenn Plummer straight like that Legend!!
South Central is the greatest gang movie ever! OG Bobby Johnson forever!
Glenn is such a legend. Great movies he’s been in.
Great actor. Love his movies. Showgirls, Roscoes, etc
Glenn Plumber is a remarkable actor, loved the stuff he was in. Dude should definitely get his roses while he’s still here with us. Salute

Salute to Holdin Court. I appreciate interviews like this. I watched Colors as a jitt and I thought it was real. Keep up the progress brother.
Appreciate the support. Thanks for tappin in. 💯💪🏾
Incredible story. This is what you call puttin' your boys on! Glenn looked out for his people even though he was fresh in the business himself. That's a true friend right there.
Menace to Society, the brother was phenomenal as well.
I’m from Richmond and we really respect and love this guy great man
Brilliant actor and very underrated 💯
Glenn...don't feel bad, you really made your scenes work and memorable, mainly the ones in Colors and Speed.
Glen Plummer is a hood legend for his roles in multiple classic gangsta/hustla type movies. Btw, Big Court, your knowledge of Colors is on point. Great interview as usual. Happy Holidays and Salute to you both. 🫡
Appreciate the positive feedback. Thsnks for tappin in. 💯🙏🏾
Another Underrated Rated actor
Glenn Plumber was also dope on the classic show 'ER' too. He had some funny and witty lines on there. This is an informative and entertaining interview of this legend 💐. Thanks, Holdin' Court. 👊🏿💪🏿👍🏿💯
Thank you, Glen Plummer for your work, much respect to you Brother!
Richmond CA in the house!! 💯

My wife before she passed about 6 years ago used to tell me stories how she was in the Wizz with Glen I believe in Richmond ca.

Glenn Plummer from Rich City, CA
Holding Court one of the best and most consistent podcasts on RUclips. Salute big court
This guy is Iconic.
For years, folk been tryin to do a Part 2. No cap. For years!
OG Bobby Johnson!
To be in colors & south central is amazing. Art depicted from everyday life.
That mess was fake. How many real gangsters did they consult and/or interview before they made the movie?
I had a whole debate with dude when I was a kid! 😂😂 He's coo now but back in the days he was a big trip
THE OG!!!
Respect All The Way…. Glenn Plummer, Don Cheadle, Damon Wayans, Leon, Grand L. Bush, and etc. (RIP) Frog From 21st Street, he died right after the movie. Killed by drunk driver.
Merry Xmas to you and the family Big Court ‼️ … OG Bobby Johnson 🔥
Happy Holidays! Thanks for tappin in.
Watching colors now merry Christmas 🎄
One of the best parts in the movie SPEED
I will always give the Mexican black guy respect for waiting on Rocket to be ready in front of the house. 💯
A classic case in point. Anglo Saxons work together to our detriment. That movie wanted to encourage Anglo-Saxons in law enforcement to use brutality when dealing with us, and induce fear in our community. I've heard this story from Glenn Plummer before.
YES! As a person born and raised in Los Angeles, I agree with you.
10:09 “Call this agency, ask for Freddie Gibbs” 😂
He was at the big homie MONSTA’S DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE. Me wanted to play MONSTA TIP IN THE MOVIE.
Everytime I see him, I say out loud DUCE and put to to the chest peace✌🏽😂
Still say Deuces to this day with two fingers to the chest!
I remember South Central. It definitely changed my outlook on African-American culture in California. This is coming from a kid firing off Glocks in Kentucky in early 90's. I also got respect for Gary Indiana black folks.
Keep it true no matter what you do.
Wow very good and informational interview
Extremely great interview🤙
Thanks for tappin in! 💯💪🏾
Good shit
Is that OG Killa Bobby Johnson from Deuce✌🏿? 😄 Bruhtha is a very good actor! 👍🏿
Great Interview
Great Interview 💯💯
"Didn't rocket have the same gun
that the old man shot OG Bobby Johnson's son in the back with
Or do I got it backwards
And Bobby Johnson was the one that put his fist up to the glass
And Caine put his fist up and dapped it" - Lupe Fiasco
My Fam (Kevin Coleman) from Richmond Ca used to always tell me how cool Glenn was.
I think Glenn was the first person on film to wear a pair of Jordan's with an Adidas sweat suit.
Peace to Charles S Dutton and the cast from The Corner.
Double burger wit cheese
SALUTE for this one 💪🏾. Glenn don’t get enough credit for his talent 💪🏾
That ending story was dope.
Legendary
Hey Court, not trying to be "that guy" but just a heads up that Glenn's last name is spelled wrong at the beginiing of the video. Should be Plummer instead of Plumber. Regardless, it's awesome that you got him on your pod! 💪🙌
Thank u for pointing that out. I have my editor making the correction. Thanks again.
I was actually on set when Glenn and Sean did the fight scene in the kitchen of the restaurant. I was doing extra/background work back then.
The fight scene was so intense, you literally would have thought they were fighting for real.
I also remember that Madonna came to the set to see Sean on that day. They were still married at that time.
The set was on location at a restaurant down a block from Venice Beach, California.
When Madonna got ready to leave the set, me and Sean's brother Chris (RIP) escorted Madonna down to a parking lot where she parked.
She was driving a cold-blooded black Mercedes Benz 450SL convertible.
As we were walking down the block, people started to recognize who she was, and started going absolutely crazy!
Me and Chris joked afterwards that we might have had to do some serious bodyguard work to protect her.
Madonna was a super. super star music artist back then.
Great story
I guess because I’m from the west coast, but I never felt colors like that. It was cool but he confirmed somethin I felt which was, people didn’t really do their homework on that movie. Nowadays actors and writers do real research and you can tell- Straight outta Compton, snowfall, etc but I enjoy his background stories though and admire him helpin other black men👍🏾
I didn't like the movie, "Colors" either, but Mr. Plumber is a great actor.
Glen keeping it real!
Dude Glenn Plumber is such an underrated actor, the Oscar’s are full of shit, this guy is a winner through and through. His performance in South Central needs to be recognized.
He did some good work for his friend 💪💪👏👏👏👏
amazing
Wow. This is how it should be. One get on we all get on.
It's well-documented that Sean Penn was a real dick at that point in his life -- with co-stars, with the paparazzi, with everyone (including marriages & relationships)....And on top of that he is a really intense actor who was known to stay in character for the entire movie, even after the director said "CUT". I'm sure his method of staying in character was a real blast when he was playing Spicoli, not so much when playing McGavin LoL....Glad that he's grown older, wiser, dropped the dickishness & kept the acting skills & chops. Colors is such a classic -- never gets mentioned as a hood film, I guess cuz it deals with the entire city of hoods. Everyone in the flick is on-point.
He used to beat Madonna mercilessly tie her up and everything but we only hear about Diddy and Bill Cosby smh
Even very popular movie directors and cast members hated working with him.
Michael J. Fox reported being verbally abused by Sean during the filming of "Casualties Of War"
@@kennethrussell1158 i'm sure his acting mehod of staying in character was a blast when he played a character like Spicolli, but I can't imagine how much they hated it when he's playing McGavin
True but theyre not the only ones. If you read or watch/do research, itll pop up on multiple people. Even some of our favorite actors/artists or etc associate with the sick mfs. @@DreDaDon16
I think he was in Showgirls also
Legend
You need to get Donald Bakeer on your show, he wrrote crips and the movie south central . He is original from Kansas City Missouri.
Thats my hometown!
Still can't get over O.G. Bobby Johnson doing pirouettes in Showgirls though.
His friend with the van. He played on the show called, In The Heat Of The Night. Sweet was his name on the show.
south central
colors
menace to society
imperial dreams
100 kilos
the list goes on....mention la gangster film royalty you cant leave glenn plummer out. Real deal legend in cinema period but especially black cinema
