that 2nd duel lmao tbf, this is how Ancient Warriors do be. summon a lv4, ss another small lv4, THEN DROP 3 HUGE MOFOS AND UNGA BUNGA ALL OVER THE ENEMY
I just wanna say Doug: the weekly YGO series are my pleasure. I dont even play YGO (I just like cardgames overall) and these series are my jam. Life is stressfull as hell, but this is the little gem I just can relax to.
Ancient Warriors were actually the anti-meta pick I went with when tears first dropped on Master Duel, and I did my diamond climb with them. Their Tear matchup is solid, owing to the fact they don't give a crap about their GY, and thus have zero fear of the shufflers, have multiple bounces on their end-board, which is the only real way to deal with Tear bosses, and they have a boss monster who is tax dragon, DD crow, and Upstart Goblin rolled into one. The downside being that all their starters have "send from hand/field to GY" text in their effects... so the popular anti-tear floodgates could shut them down entirely.
Also, for the record, the reason you couldn't activate Lu Jing in game 1 is because he sends a face-up continuous spell to the grave to add an Ancient Warriors [spell/trap] with a different name from the sent card to your hand from the GY, and you didn't have a valid target in the GY.
18:07 While not having the combo to OTK, I'm still surprised he didn't even look at his extra deck. He'd have gotten an extra big boy summon if he did. Next game had an OTK hand, but too bad the effects couldn't activate
Never realized until now how high rarity Ancient Warriors were until this vid, while the irl counterpart you can make with like $20, most of it being in the Sun Mou's
@@lawrencemarquez5007 yeah ancient warriors are heavily neutered without DDL and Lu Feng. In sealed it is possible to survive off just three visits though, as long as you max out on their normal summons and Guan Yun over their high levels
OH GOD YES, i have been waiting so long for someone on a Dzeeff series to play Ancient Warriors, this archetype is SO good in sealed, I'm really excited. EDIT : oh no, he doesn't like my favourite deck. I hope him bricking hasnt completely soured the archetype for him, imo its a really fun deck that has access to a lot of super cool plays and a lot of variety in its ability to interact. He did miss a ton of potential plays, but nah I totally understand that, lots of text.
I really like the idea where both people get two options. I don't know if you need to keep which deck secret from each other, but more options like this are always good!
if you don't keep them secret from each other then you could theoretically have a never ending loop where player 1 chooses deck A, player 2 chooses deck B to counter, then player 1 chooses deck C to counter the counter, and player 2 chooses deck D to counter the counter counter, then player 1 chooses deck A again... etc, etc.
We're really getting down to the last pack huh. This was great, the best parts of these videos are the interactions between Dzeef and Farfa, so the bad decks make it that much funnier
He pulled one copy and then crafted two more when chat pointed out how effective and funny it would be against Farfa’s pack choice. So he really hadn’t seen it before the pack opening.
"Oh no I threw in 3 copies of every unsummonable monster and dogshit continuous spells when I didn't pull any of the good monsters and spells, and now I keep drawing bricks! How could this happen to me?"
The change was specifically made after the Steelswarm incident to allow for crafting of Solo Pack/Legacy Pack cards. I like the option of non-Pack cards because of examples like when Farfa crafted Whiptail because he randomly pulled Drident out of the Master Packs
@@Dzeeff yeah bu in this case it made the first duel boring the second was great but the first duel instead of seen farfa doing some gishki combo we instead spend sevral minutes where nothing happening where you draw nothing and every time farfa had a play you had those card i think making outside of pack craft is okay but crafting card that are anti game that should be a no "cos where is the showcase of the decks if you negate everything
I like the new wheel rule, hopefully in some episodes its more of a guess to what pack the other goes into Really loved duel 1 it was a lot of fun to watch the slow grind back and forth!
I love games like this. More like the 25 turn games where people are bricking and having to draw an out, it’s more old school than games being done by turn 2.
I would like to add another rule change to the series. I would like that even if the first person would win the first 2 duels that you would still do a third duel so the loser still has a chance to show his deck like in history of yugioh.
Ancient warriors is one of my favourite decks there is no better feeling that doing an OTK on a tearlament player 🤣 but definitely needs Lui Feng to run properly. Doug misplayed really hard the first duel.
The new rule seems great. I love the idea of not telling your opponent what pack you're pulling, that way they can't build a deck to counter your strategy. Plus pulling two at once is nice as it allows more variety for future decks and decreases the chance you'll be disappointed by not choosing a certain pack (by rerolling instead)
I feel like the point of it being a respin is that you're risking a worse pack by doing it while trying for a better one. Like, no-one is going to pick the bad packs unless they take a risk and have to stick with it.
It'd be sick if you add to the second roulette that for that day you draw 10 (or 15) of each set but you need to draw from both otherwise just 20 from a single set
I promise to never craft [REDACTED] again :)
I'm glad you did. Sure it was less likely he was going to play assault, but what if he did? You'd have 3 dead cards.
He should have played assault btw. Lots of good N and Rs for this format all considered.
THE JULY 15TH DIAMOND DUST INCIDENT
it was so hype
I wish they were royal rare
I think this was my favourite episode, honestly.
Love the content keep up the good work ❤
I'll be the judge of that
Unban me from stream so I can spoil next season of the boys :) nothing against ToS you little 2 tower destroyer/.
This episode is pain and suffering 😮💨
prove it
The diamond dust crafts were just part of Doug's super villain arc
The pure power of Doug drawing Gingerbread house and passing is probably a highlight of this series
Aqua Mudora is a great joke Farfa and I'm here to appreciate it.
I think it be funny if we just start calling Mudora "Earth Augus" from now on.
that 2nd duel lmao
tbf, this is how Ancient Warriors do be. summon a lv4, ss another small lv4, THEN DROP 3 HUGE MOFOS AND UNGA BUNGA ALL OVER THE ENEMY
torrential, IDP, diamond dust, gingerbread house. Farfa got so unbelievably countered lmao
We don't wont counterpicking.
Doug Zeef:
shoulda picked assault mode

I don't even play card games. I've even given up on some yugitubers. I'm still enjoying Dzeeff's series.
I had whiplash going from that game 1 into game 2. Was not expecting it to be that swift of an ending
that's Ancient Warriors for you. they're good at going second and OTK'ing. I was surprised no one in twitch chat told Doug during the prep to go 2nd
@@sineupp They also function significantly better when you don't draw bricks for like 8 turns.
Listening to this while stocking back to school products in an attempt to keep my sanity

This was absolutely one of the episodes of all time. Undeniable.
Both players bricking on turn 25 was so hilarious, this was one of the funniest episodes yet

This is the dueling Yugiboomers ask for and its as Takahashi intended
MBT already missed the banger Steelswarm episode, he better not miss this one >:C
He missed the Monarch Spyral one which made me sad

This episode was genuinely so much fun. I haven't laughed this hard in a while
As an ancient warriors player.. I've been waiting for this episode!
First duel was rough! But the 2nd duel was basically ancient warriors summed up.
MBT Might have angered the Ghostrick community but now Dzeeff is going to anger the rage of the Ancient Warriors community! (All 2 of them)
and we are outraged!
I am the second one and am also outraged!
Tbh, Ancient Warriors have really high ftk potential and can play through handtraps pretty well going 2nd.
Ancient Warriors is just like early pendulum. You either summon a bunch of guys or brick forever.
Doug really would've benefitted from a bigger Fairy Tail package, Luna searches every turn and the others have something good on them while being 1850
Okay crush card is killing it. These videos have been really funny
As a guy who plays Ancient Warriors Religiously, this episode hurt my soul...
I was in pain the whole time, but the 2nd duel was great.

This episode felt real also the most balanced this entire series I'm happy you guys tried decks your not familiar with .
I like what you did with the pack wheel in this episode! Let’s bring that back next week and see how it goes a second time.
Doug this week "we putting you in the contraption dawg, we're putting you in the device"
i’ve been waiting for the Ancient Warriors pack since the series began. Really hoping Doug pulls well, need to give my boys a good show
You and me both and it seems he did not
@c42viper31 he popped game 2 at least. Would have been more hype if searched Cao De off Sun Mou instead of Zhang Yuan but it is what it is
Ancient warriors have it tough in sealed. Their link is a UR, and their staple 3-ofs are all extremely hard to get play sets of in their rarities
@@lancerguy3667 yeah my favorite deck though still glad some one finally played it.
New rule to avoid knowing the opponent's choice at all. Doug crafts Diamond Dust.
Live, laugh, shrek
As an ancient warrior's player, this episode, hurt... so much.
"I'm gonna activate a card I've never seen in my life, that we pulled- Diamond Dust."

@@RuriMizuno fair enough then
@CrushCards Next time farfa says "Fizzle" we need the south Park clip of Mr. Garrison going "Did you just say the F word?" Lol😂
Dzeef spend all of gam 1 luring Farfa into a false sense of security
Here’s a rule idea: how about you get 10 more packs if there are three archetypes in a pack? Might help make those less auto skip.
Sounds fun to me.
If it's to pull more floodgates nah keep bricking, this episode was so frustrating
@@tomroyer7982 Fair I can understand that, though to be fair, he didn't pull the diamond dusts.

we thought it was ancient warriors, but it turns out doug was playing board wipe turbo the whole time,

"Ritual Super Poly" makes Gishki a viable N/R format deck. Not great but definitely playable.
