I think the state of emergency has a lot more to do with traffic. I'm taking the day off because I live near Columbus, IN. It's where the totality of the eclipse is going to be the longest and traffic is supposed to be horrendous because of tourists.

I was driving in Indiana on May 10th 1994 when an eclipse happened. I pulled over and watched it, then I kept driving. No emergency then, no emergency now

I watched a full solar eclipse 20 odd years ago. We were on a farm and the animals started walking home as it got dark, thinking it was night time. Birds were also confused, it was quite an experience. Nothing weird happened, it was just a beautiful natural phenomenon
Yep…daytime birds and bugs stop chirping. It always makes me giggle thinking about all the little critters being like “Uhhhhhhhh….wat tha fuk?”😂😂😂 And then the sun comes back and they’re like “phew….back to work bros.”😂

My 9th grade travelled 110 miles on March 7, 1970 to observe the last Total Solar eclipse - and it was awesome and very memorable!
The last total solar eclipse over the US was in 2017.

The schools in my area just called a 3 hour early dismissal for Monday. The last eclipse, they watched it AT school WITH the teachers. There were no warnings about stocking up on food and other necessities. Something is up . I mean, I am fairly certain that we are in the last days, but I can’t help but also feel that jackassery is definitely afoot…
You must forget that the whole country doesn’t experience the same thing. There’s a line that shows where totality is for a reason, and every time it’s different. When they watched the last eclipse, it was more than likely a partial eclipse, and if I had to guess, you’re in the line of totality now and that’s why they’re letting out early. I’m sure the last SOLAR eclipse, the people in the line of totality let school out early, took a day off, etc. Lunar eclipses are VERY common, complete solar ones are not. Nearly a whole generation will have been before before the next solar eclipse.
The Eclipse coincides with the time busses would be transporting kids. In this case, taking the day off or letting out early makes sense to avoid the lunartics out on the road.

In the UK we haven't seen the sun in over 6 months due to certain daily, carefully woven flight arrangements. If there was an eclipse, nobody would know it.
That's strange, I live in the UK and I've seen the sun everyday this week, even saw it make a rainbow on the day when it was raining. Maybe you need to open your curtains or get outside?

I live in Alaska and last summer every time we had a clear sunny day planes would start crisscrossing the sky until it was cloudy and we'd have rain for several days straight. I garden every year here and I didn't get hardly any vegetables last year because it rained incessantly and it wasn't sunny at all. I saw the planes with the trails coming out of them coming up from behind the mountains, so from the army/air force base every single time it was clear. I've lived here for 27 years and it's never been so horrible during a summer in all that time until last year. We didn't even get a summer and Alaskans LIVE for the summer because we really need it!
They didnt declare a state of emergency when the last eclipse happened in idaho. I was here. I seen the path of totality. It was freaking awesome!

I was living in Colorado at the time and some friends of mine, and my boyfriend and I decided on a whim to drive up I25 to Wyoming to the path of totality. We stopped on the side of the highway where hundreds, if not thousands, of other people had stopped. It was magnificent and completely breathtaking and we all safely got back on the highway afterward and went about our business...no emergency, no police, what is the big deal this time? I sense distraction and prescribed pandemonium...

I live MN. I have been Stay at home mother since 1991. At some point before 2000, I was very confused because outside it was dark as if it were overcast except there were no clouds. When my husband came home, he said there was an eclipse. AH, thus the overcast feeling for awhile. I survived...no zombies or aliens.

Getting to see totality of an eclipse is rare and can very often be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Pictures can't even begin to do it justice. During a solar maximum as well, anyone who gets to see this will be very lucky, it will be absolutely beautiful.
After the last one there was a major spiritual shift in the atmosphere and culture, almost like God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night for the inhabitants, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years.” The eclipse lands on the biblical first day of the year. But, I heard from a guy down the road that he overheard two people talking at the drive thru about one of their cousins telling a distant relative that this eclipse is going to eclipse all other eclipses, and might cause some people to doubt their gender... take it for what it's worth!

I have been a targeted individual the last 30 years, and every American needs to HEAR MY STORY, because what the monsters did to ME, they are now doing to YOU ALL.
When the criminal harassment by agents started in 87-88, they had a legit right to watch me. At the time, I was young and wild and dating a drug dealer. I was sick with a skin disorder that I am now convinced was another bioweapon being tested on us. I was examining my skin with a magnifier when i found strange, matching sets of holes in my inner wrists and knees. They looked like tiny tunnels, but couldn't be seen with the naked eye. I had no idea how they got in my skin, and I hadn't seen any doctors or taken any shots in years. So I got out a sterile needle and opened up those holes and took samples from them and viewed it under my microscope. (A hobby I have had many years.) I was speechless at what I found. I t was a clear, COMPUTERIZED GEL, and it was laid out in a ladder shaped grid system, that had tiny rice shaped batteries around it's outer perimeter. It had pine tree shaped antennas that had perfectly symmetrical branches with metallic looking little balls on the tip of every branch. It was slowly collapsing it's structure as it cooled to room temperature. I had never seen anything like it in my life. Finding this tech in my body explained many things I had wondered about the last twenty years. It explained why I heard a man's voice in my head sometimes. It explained why he pretended to be GOD that the things he said weren't always Godly. It explained why things got moved or hidden from me during my sleep, and why I was WATCHED CONSTANTLY through my OWN EYES. The FILTHY, DISGUSTING, LOWLIFE MONSTERS HAD HACKED MY BRAIN, and it was WORSE THAN RAPE! I told my local chief of police, when I reported finding it, that at least a woman can HEAL after being raped. There is no 'healing' from this, according to what Elon Musk says in his videos. He sells this stuff, though I cannot imagine why ANYONE in their right mind would EVER want it!! I found a picture of it right on DARPA'S website, under Obama Brain Initiative. I KNEW what would be in the vax when they said one was coming, and unfortunately, I was right. Dr Carrie Madej, and Dr Ricardo Delgado were some of the first to identify it in the shots. It's also in the masks/tests, and swabs, and NOW they are putting it in our FOOD/BEV AND MILK!!! I am here to tell you that this absolutely EVIL tech from HELL is FAR MORE than 'gene therapy'!!! It lets the filthy monsters see and hear every thought we have! It lets them talk to us mentally. It lets them even TAKE OVER OUR BODY during certain stages of sleep, and use OUR BODY to do whatever they WANT TO, and we have little or no memory of it, much less any CONTROL OVER IT! The last one, my favorite, was tortured EVERY MONTH for over NINE YEARS, before we busted the agents using our CELL PHONE to put out the frequencies that were CAUSING those seizures. We busted them RED HANDED, and there is no denying what they are doing. They were using FREQUENCIES to tweak the brain, CAUSING the seizures, and other death causing things. They finally killed him Thanksgiving Day of 22, after making him go BLIND, causing organ failure, and shocking him every couple hours the last two days, till he couldn't hold out any more, and died in my arms. People, please don't sleep by anything digital, and keep your animals away from them as well! We also busted them hacking our washer/dryer outlet, and gas stove, so keep your appliances UNPLUGGED when not using them! If you hear any device making a strange or unusual sound, BLOCK IT by coughing, whistling, clapping, etc. and shut the device off FAST AS POSSIBLE. You should also keep a hammer or glass breaker in your front seat while driving, as some have reported their loved ones were locked in their vehicles before being incinerated, as in Lahaina attacks. Also keep your kids CLOSE at all times, and do NOT trust ANY govt agents as they cannot be trusted now.

Seriously though, the way everyone is talking about it, you would think this has never happened before. I remember very distinctly, sometime back in the 70s, being at school during an eclipse and there were lots of kids outside with their pinhole cameras. I also remember during the 80s, waking up to see an eclipsed moon outside my bedroom window, and thinking. “No one said anything about there being an eclipse today.”
It seems like it’s only been since the new millennium that people have started to freak out about natural phenomena… just like they did in ancient days.
