This, I feel so, so, SO grateful for the rainy weather here in BC while most of Canada is having a heatwave. I remember the heatdome we had when my toddler was a 6mo baby, it was over 40c inside and we didn't have an air conditioner, on the day over 43c inside we had to go to stay at my grandmother's house because I was legit afraid my baby was in danger. I am sorry for those in Ontario right now. I hope that it galvinizes some people into climate activism to give us more good news!

One of the main reasons I make these videos is to add balance to the onslaught of terrible news that’s thrown at us that is completely overwhelming, so it’s completely understandable to feel anxious or out of control. There are so many people who care and want to make a positive impact though, and their stories aren’t amplified enough, and I hope this can be a reminder of the good out there. I currently work in air quality and I've been a public health communicator since 2005 - there's a lot of rough news in my line of work, especially around this time of year. There's more than a glimpse of hope in your videos, there's the perception that there are people who will not fall for the big polluters and big predators lies and will always resist the madness of senseless destruction fuelled by the humongous egos of those involved and their endemic moral and financial corruption. I'm nearing 59 y.o and since I was a child I hear about burning the Amazon forest for pastures. Governments start and finish, people and federal institutions come and go and it never stops. I like how many of the good news stories are about the environment, I needed this during my undergraduate studies in wildlife biology when I would sometimes leave class is despair about how much nature has been changed. Keep the good news going

I like how many of the good news stories are about the environment, I needed this during my undergraduate studies in wildlife biology when I would sometimes leave class is despair about how much nature has been changed. Keep the good news going
