Part 1 of a multi-video series, this video addresses naming simple straight chain alkanes, and introduces naming branched or substituted alkanes. Future videos will take you through naming multi-substituted alkanes, functional groups, alkenes, alkynes, and cyclic organic compounds.
Many students struggle with organic chemistry because they try to memorize rather than understand the concepts and mechanisms. My goal is to break down the concepts so that you can understand and apply them to your homework, quizzes and exams
