Yes please make a video on why you choose a Powerstroke 6.0. I had one for work and it was horrible coming from the Powerstroke 7.3 that my Great Uncle had. I even bought me one here about 18 months ago. It was a 1995 F-250 Powerstroke 7.3 with less then 93K miles on it. The guy that had it got hurt from work and couldn't use it to go camping or fishing with anymore. We had a mutual friend that I talked to about getting a diesel truck and he is the that told his buddy about me being interested. So I got a call, we talked about it, and went to see the truck. It had your basic problems for being a 23 year old truck but started great and had a ton of power. He sold it to me for $1000 out the door. Now I did have to replace the batteries eight away but it's been an amazing truck. Hauls so well and it has been a great truck for my side jobs and hauling trailers.
Bballbeech1 We owned 3 6.0s with no problems. I believe Ford fleshed out many of the issues in the later years of the 6.0s lifespan as the only ones I hear blowing up are pre 2004.

I know this comment is a bit long but please be patient. I just purchased a 07 F250 6.0 with 150k miles. The Truck belonged to a Firestone Store Manager. The engine was bulletproof, added rear air ride, brand new tires and fifth wheeler attachment. All the maintenance and work was done personally by my friend, who is the lead mechanic of the place. The truck was bought new and oil replaced every 3k with top of the line oil. All parts used on this truck were OEM, basically frenetically maintained. Why do I say all this? Well another very close person, who used to be a Ford mechanic, told me: Yes is a great truck and no doubts about the maintenance this truck has, however this trucks, in general terms, could be ticking bombs. Apparently they are notorious for blowing injectors, to mention one of the issues. The cost of parts and labor makes them very expensive. When you were talking about the oil change being expensive, I was expecting a lot more money. My Harley oil change is about the same. So, that part don’t bother me. My concern is that I ride my bike more than I drive my cars. The idea was to use the truck to pull a toy hauler or camper now and then, and to use the truck eventually when bad weather wouldn’t allow me to ride. My friend, how I love like a brother, told me I should sell the truck if my intentions are not to use it often, and even then he warned me about them being ticking bombs. What are your thoughts?
Just bought my first diesel, and it had been WAY cheaper to maintain than my hemi, and the hemi has nothing other than regular maintenance, and the diesel has had a bit more than that
Just bought a 2018 ram 3500 srw crewcab longbed with the Aisin it’s a 4x4 tradesman in true blue pearl just to paint the picture. It’s my first diesel, I’ve been towing with gassers for years and everyone said to get a diesel for pulling my big trailers. So here’s what I think. Had a 2017 f250. 6.2 gasser as a work truck and honestly it seems about as good pulling anything under 12k. I’m so used to the higher rpms it doesn’t bother me because I’ll let my truck sing at 5,500 rpm all the way up that hill. The diesel is nice, good low end pulling power, I think I’ll keep it till it dies.

His truck didn't want to start what a hack. Don't listen to this I change my synthetic oil at 10 grand on my 6.7 cummins and after oil Analysis was still in good shape. Oh and it pulls a 12 thousand pound trailer everyday unlike most truck owners
Joe Biden just sold some of our strategic oil reserves to Asia!!!!! Let's go Brandon ! In Pennsylvania diesel is $3.99 -9/10 per gallon so its $4.00 a gallon
You apparently didn't do enough research. You might as well have bought a powerjoke. Not hating on the 7.3, especially the IDI.... I owned one. Great motor. Their trannys sucked. After they added the turbo in 95, everything went to shit, because their head design just straight up sucked, coupled with their piss poor E4OD tranny. Ford, being a lifelong name, just can't get it right.
chevytruckman34 I always liked a stock 7.3... but with that said I totally agree, people forget that the 6.0 has the notorious issues it does but the 7.3 models had garbage ass transmissions.
I can agree with that to an extent. I bought a 94 7.3 idi from my neighbor several years ago. He told me that he had to have the tranny rebuilt somewhere around the 140k mark with the "heavy duty package", I could never really confirm that because he didn't keep the paperwork on it. I bought it with 190k on it, and didn't have to do much to it. What I did have to do was extremely easy. I did have an issue where the tranny was shifting weird. A little research lead me to the tps. Apparently that little fella is notorious for having to be replaced. Easy enough job and stopped the shifting issue. Other than that, it was a damn good truck. Hauled a LOT of firewood. I sold it several months ago and bought another older model Ford with a cummins. I love it, but having to dig into other stuff now.
I've heard that the 6.0 is a hit or miss thing. I've heard nothing but bad about them from the people that I know that have owned them. You must have one of the good ones. And, just like anything else, it depends on how you drive and maintain it.
You are comparing a 6.0 Ford to a gas motor.. Really.. The 6.0 motor was the worst diesel motor Ford ever made. Unless you put a good amount of money into the motor.
Change the oil every 1000mi and things will be happy ! It's only money and time. The way these kids Throttle Jocky Around and pull nothing heavy ....................
JDRTRM JDRTRM 100% agree. not gonna lie, I'm 17, and about to finalize the transactions on an '06 dmax for my first truck. I absolutely hate when kids my age get these diesel trucks and dog the living hell out them and treat like hot rods/race cars. people hate to accept the truth that diesels are built for towing and work, not trying to add tuners and programmers and stuff to see how much power you can put in it. wanting mine simply for towing and reliability, not to hot rod. if y'all wanna hot rod go get a car made to do so. Diesels aren't built for that, then you wonder why your head gaskets blew and your injectors shot... I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this comment but bring it on, cause truth is the truth whether you wanna hear it or not...
Dr. Fishing I'm 17 as well and just this past August I bought a 93 Silverado with the 350. I wasn't intending for it to be much of a hauler, as it had a rollpan on it when I bought it, but it does have enough bed room to carry around everything ive needed so far. Cammed it, headers and full exhaust, rebuilt the transmission and it runs fine. About $2950 spent altogether for the title and parts so I can't say it was overpriced.
Dr. Fishing Man I use my obs 7.3 for work (treework, contracting house jobs, holding my tools, fishing poles, Surf tags and riding on the beach, muddin, getting firewood for the bonfire and beers) but i still got my chip in it, I see what you mean 100 percent but better mpg, and increase in enough power and still keep it reliable on tune 1 is never a loss. Now on tune 6 things a rocket but im never in tune 6 unless i need to suck up a gayboi in his cummins. 100 percent see what you mean tho, your talking about the high school kids whos daddy gave them their truck and now their running it to the ground with bullsht and not doing an hour of work.

You forgot to mention spending $5k + to "bulletproof" your 6.0 and have a motor that's still less reliable than a stock 5.9
AngryTankRampage but pay over 10 k for a truck worth 7k that’s got a shitty transmission and a rusty body, a dodge Cummins.😂
Everyone can hate on ua 6.0 as much as they want, but they still sound the best in my opinion!
You got a pretty good channel going man good to see a local person on here making videos. I'm actually about to buy the stack you took off your truck lmao
tim irwin the black or gold one? lol
allhail6.0 the black one with the mesh welded on the inside that you sold to Aaron
For the money, F150 with the Coyote and a Kenne Bell SC. Done.
Cason Diablo supercharger

Toledo speedway and downtown Erie! I live in temperance surprised I’ve never seen your 6.0 rolling around
Man, so many 6.0 haters.
But what’s funny is that hardly any of em’ have a solid point to stand on. Only baseless *bUy A cUmMiNs nOt ChEvY/fOrD* comments. It’s just one of those bandwagons teenagers jump on for no reason other than to be on it.
My 7.3 gets horrible milage can’t complain it pulls good and hauls 3 ton in the back like nothing’s the truck also hauled 6 ton which is alot of weight for a f250 to haul especially in the bed
Yes please make a video on how come u chose the 6.0 over the 7.3 or the 5.9 cummins ..not disagreeing or anything. Just give us ur opinion on why.. thank u !.. oh and would u ever buy a 5.9 cummins ??
christopher krause the automatics suck, the manuals are amazing, and keep up with your maintenance cause you won't have any problems with the stock injectors
christopher krause so if I wanted a diesel truck.. should I just get a5.9l cummins 1997 12v manual
12v is a tank like the 7.3
christopher krause what bout the 6.6 dirtymax ?
my 6.0 had an aftermarket oil filter on it with an aftermarket oil filter housing cap. says right on it "do not use more than one oil change" i didnt even know that could even be a thing until mine exploded causing my HPOP to take a shit too
I have a 2004 F350 with a 6.0. It’s a garage queen and I couldn’t be happier. Remember if it fits your need then it’s the perfect truck.
I'm a Cummins owner and I agree with you. but I want to emphasize the most important thing when buying a used diesel is "do not overpay for it".
So I’d 9k for. A 6.0 04 f350 from a dealer a good price
At our shop our diesel stickers for oil change are about 10k miles
Im a VW tdi owner and now im want a Truck. My choices are a 6.0 Ford , 2015 Duramax, or a 1996 Dodge Cummins.
Go 7.3 Powerstroke, not 6.0. Trust me
You should do a video on why to buy a 6.0
Why change your oil at 5000miles? That’s pretty low to do that isn’t it? You could easily do 10k then that will cut your oil cost in half
Good job bud! Do a why I chose a 6.0 powerstroke video, bunch of people search it. Hell my shitty vid got 50k views in under a month! That'll help ya out!
nice truck man.real nice.i have an 06 nascar edition kinda cool .nice 6.0 man
Says buying a diesel is expensive but buys a 6.0 but other than that nice truck!
I own a 2006 6.0, deleted egr. No problem. Some people have told me that some people forget to change anti freeze for coolant. I can run 100 miles a day maximum, I live on an island, so I don't give the engine such a load. But if somebody knows other reasons why 6.0 are not so liked or break easily please tell me why, I like to learn.
I wish I had money to buy one and pay for things I need with a 6.0😣😣😣
65 dollars for oil additives, that your own fault
Great channel man!
Make a video on why you chose your truck
If you go to walmart it’s $13 a gallon so that would be $52 instead of $84 you over pay obviously
Liked 44 sec into the video just because of those beats
i dislike because of those beats.
Why do you use oil additive? Is it because the oil that you are using is not doing it's job?
hey your from Michigan, I recognize that plate!
Drake Smith there was a mejier in the intro too!
Ok, what is the music at 0:34 I LOVE IT
Everybody wants a diesel, but they want their dad to pay for it LOL
You're changing your oil way to often. Every10,000 miles is fine. Get your oil analyzed once or twice a year.
Help! I have a 04 6.0 that has been rebuilt, bulletproofed and all the rest, but it blows injectors every other month. I have replaced EVERYTHING in the fuel system except the fuel tank.
parker benz may drive the tank and clean it out debris in the fuel tank can cause this or low fuel pressure. Change the low pressure fuel pump?
Ryan Luppino-Dawson You’re ignorant.
@Ryan Luppino-Dawson could you be any more useless
Don't 6.o moter blow easily
Yes please share why you decided on the 6.0
Thanks for keeping it real bro nice video...
Without oil additive your oil changes cost $30 more then what my 2015 6.2. Not that bad.
Wanted a 6.0 Happy with my 7.3 and my 5.4 expedition. I love the fords ❤️
Should’ve gotten the 6.0 you wanted!
make the video on why you chose it!
Who is really damaging their engines 5k miles or 5k kilometers
Do you have to change the oil filter every time you get an oil change? Or every now then
Yes
His truck didn't want to start what a hack. Don't listen to this I change my synthetic oil at 10 grand on my 6.7 cummins and after oil Analysis was still in good shape. Oh and it pulls a 12 thousand pound trailer everyday unlike most truck owners
The 4th thing is dont buy a 6.0
Subscribed thanks for the info great vids
great video mann, new sub
Diesels are awesome in Alberta you can get free diesel anywhere .
@Mary Chris I work for companies that supply me with a fuel card . I have many supervisors that watch over oil rigs and keep my truck filled as well .
If you work oil patch in Alberta it's sacrilegious to buy diesel it's everywhere.
Make a video of why u chose a 6.0
So many guys buy diesels just to say they have one. Not towing shit, just regular ass street queens like this guy probably has.
Joe Biden just sold some of our strategic oil reserves to Asia!!!!! Let's go Brandon ! In Pennsylvania diesel is $3.99 -9/10 per gallon so its $4.00 a gallon
I'm buying a 2500 ram for 500 all I need to do is fix the driving belt😂I def ain't overpaying
Holy shit that lift. May want to see a doctor for some of the problems going on down there.
Is a 178,000 mile diesel truck worth 21,000$??
Diesel Tech Ron's family keeps his channel going! Very good info on his channel! RIP Ron! Trump 2024! Kyle Rittenhouse is a free man!
Your first problem.... you bought a 6.0. Bad mistake, but you can roll with it until it blows. LMAO
I love it, but having to dig into other stuff now.
chevytruckman34 I have a 6.0 and it's been a great truck I have over 200k on it
I've heard that the 6.0 is a hit or miss thing.
I got an ad of trump talking about building the wall before this 😅
Change the oil every 1000mi and things will be happy !
Dr. Fishing I love it. smart man.
7.3 l power stroke 1995 xlt dually.. 221003 miles
Why are you changing your oil every 5000 miles???
