I played this one a lot with friends. We had a recurring joke about Metal Sonic's being the best character because sometimes his final smash would actually just freeze the game, and we concluded it was so strong it even breaks the game.
I absolutely love practicing the Waluigi moveset in mods like this. I absolutely hope maybe one day Project Plus can make a tournament acceptable Shadow, Geno, Ridley and Waluigi.
Shadow is my favorite character in any smash game ever. I absolutely love playing that mod. Geno was the bomb too. I do still hope the XP characters get added to a competitive build one day.
Yeah I really wish Project+ put a little bit more emphasis on adding extra fighters...particularly fighters that are a little more significant to the overall fanbase than Knuckles.
@@plusah1268 PM was supposed to add Knuckles, Lyn, Isaac, and Sami in the 4.0 update, but the mod got shut down due to legal fears from Nintendo. All four characters got leaked in the 3.61 build with Knuckles and Lyn being the most finished.
A little fun fact: Ridley from the video recorded years ago on this channel and the one in Legacy XP shown in the video (+its latest version) were both made by the same guy (though coding and such + balancing for the newer one was done mostly by another guy who was involved in P+ and PM I think). You could say he grew up with this channel.
Legacy XP was my favourite Brawl mod ever, it felt like the natural progression from Project M to me. I still play it sometimes and I was heartbroken when it was discontinued To me, the BEST Smash game, up there with Smash Ultimate

I see it as a better LXP, they both have flaws but Remix has a lot more pros. I love Remix but I'd easily remove 20 characters from the roster if I could lol.
There exist a Legacy XP Character Extension where it includes more characters, however, it works more for the Wii. It can work on Dolphin, but won't have HD textures. Characters include Knuckles, Dark Pit, Chrom, Toad, Daisy, Blood Falcon, Knuckles Joe, and with Snake it creates 2 of them, Big Boss with Project M moves and Snake with his regular moves. The mod is fun.
Pretty sure Metal Sonic isn't on the adventure games aside from being a secret character on Adventure and on Adventure 2's multiplayer, where they didn't have many fighting esque animations

Dr. Mario could have had some of Mario's moves from Smash 64, like the dropkick FAir and punching FSmash. Even with his Ultimate moves, Doc is literally a clone to Mario in an environment where a lot of clone characters were decloned.
I never got a chance to play this mod, but it makes me curious, where on the tier list would each of these characters end up in? Maybe one day they'll return to Project + but until then we chilling I suppose
I know you mainly do PM Stuff, but will you branch out to other smash fan games eventually? I like your PM content a lot but I'd like to see your take on some other games.

4:18 Jesus Christ, I really hate Ganondorf's Melee design. It just looks so awkward and...well, bad, and I don't understand why none of the modders seem to see that. They keep wanting to use that design instead of Brawl's, and not import Ultimate's model or create a new one that actually looks like OoT Ganondorf without looking stupid.
You realize Ultimate is just his Melee design, which is actually just a retouched version of his Spaceworld 2000 tech demo model Aonuma sent to the Smash team? Right? That and his Future self from OoT are widely distinct, the former is almost seem like a composite of his past and present self. Do you realize now?
Legacy XP was great. Wish they added some of it's characters to P+, but I also understand why they haven't done it. Great video.

@@k-leb4671 would require some serious work for the new chars to fit in the Meta imo. That's prob why pm stuck with mewtwo and Roy and not new chars.

Smash remix has kind of taken its place now. While it has a lower bar of quality it carries the "legacy" and keeps things going.
Docs overhanded throw on his pills is actually my favorite part of him, you can toss them onto platforms and have them slowly roll off the sides
Never downloaded it myself but have played it a couple times, pretty well polished from what I remember

Many Legacy XP stages are not included in P+. Almost all Legacy TE stages are included, though.
