Good to see a game being played. You keep the same combat track for the next and subsequent quests, and only start a new one when the entire sheet is filled up with monsters. I really enjoyed the emotional highs and lows in the video, I still go through them when I play too; it’s so bad when I get high rolls when I want low ones and vice versa, but the thrill when a roll hits right is so fulfilling.
Oh no! You mean how it clearly says on page 17? Hah, I can't believe I screwed that up! I think where I went wrong was that I printed the Combat Track on the back of a grid, so I associated "this dungeon" with "this combat track". As opposed to seeing the combat track like an EXP track, which makes so much more sense! Thank you! But of course, not ten minutes ago I finished recording Dungeon Training 3, still doing the Combat Track incorrectly. I will see about retconning it. I might owe some shopkeepers some money >.> I think I might not be doing doors correctly, specifically when I fail a pick/bash and the repeat that like five times. I'll have to double check. But otherwise this has been very easy to get in to. Not to spoil too much, but the FINAL ROLL on DT3 was one of those "incredibly amazing highs". All through the play the enemies weren't beating me down, the dungeon layout was! But at the finale, it literally couldn't have been a better ending. :D This game is so much fun and so simple to run (assuming you can follow plain instructions, which I clearly can't :P)! Looking at all you have developed I am blown away at how this game has grown from such a simple concept to the epic game it has become. Thank you!
I didn't notice anything wrong with the door tests. There was a lot in that last dungeon, I felt for you! Normally I wouldn't get so many and certainly not so many in the higher level range. You're very good with the rules, and make little to no mistakes. I learn a lot from watching videos of game play, regarding writing rules. For instance, it was good to see the stairs you came across, as I have rewritten that section a few times to get across how they work, and I feel happy now that they are doing the job. I will also be adding the damage reminder at the top of the backpack section in the next update and a few other reminders you brought up. Many thanks, this has been a top notch play through video that has been so good to watch and will help me with feedback and also assist players of D100 Dungeon!
@@MKGAMES I appreciate any corrections, it makes everyone better players. I've since managed to fix my Combat Track, which means I had to pay back some gold but received some stat bonuses, I will mention the correction at the top of Dungeon Training 4 (3 was already recorded). In DT3 I probably missed a roll by one point that I otherwise shouldn't have! :P Other than that my brain shorted out on locked doors and retries, in DT3 I was burning Time on the Time Track in addition to time and HP lost Failing instead of just retrying the locked door (or leaving through a different Exit). Page 25 cleared it up. But it wasn't too costly a mistake, just some oil/food/time.
Still watching your playthroughs. I own almost everything D100 Dungeon including the computer (steam) game. I need to play it more! Just ordered the latest book as well, Rune Forge. Keep these coming!
I took a detour from just D100 Dungeon while exploring the world of these games (D100, 4AD, 2D6) and found they all have merit. Now if only we (the game players) had the time to give them each their proper due! :) I'm trying to sort making a binder for each one that I can grab and go to work and have to play while on my lunch break.
Glad to know I am not the only one that finds the "oil" tracking somewhat annoying. Especially when it takes an hour to unlock a door only to fail, and so another hour to try and unlock, an entire day later and you just have to go back to town because you have no oil left. Many times the tick a time (hour) makes no sense as it shouldn't take so long.
I was definitely messing up the door checks/Time Track, (you can try as much as you want but the Time Track won't move "because of another turn", only from the door Fail penalty, each time). Side note: I also messed up the Combat Track sheet. Thankfully Martin himself pointed out what I was doing wrong with these and the correct way to do them. :) It's all been retconned as best I can by Dungeon Training 4. :) Nothing was really a big deal, I lost some oil and a little gold, and my stats were a little better!

Really been enjoying your persevering to complete Dungeon Training 2. I had the same issue with DT3.

1:01:15 Wrong entry on table F - 48 (28 + 20) is spell (table S) roll converted to scroll - 200gp (!)...
36:41 Dwarven Warrior-Alchemist :)
“Giant Rats” - the game…😩😂🤣

The book Dragons return has the best choose out of 3 monsters listed table.
I Love it all!
I just take multiple missions at one time, so I have a better likelihood to complete one.
This is a great idea!
