Very important to use the correct CVT fluid! Either TC or FE, it's marked on the filler plug. AND good practice is to loosen the filler plug first, to be sure you can undo it! And of course, follow Toyota's procedure for this job; it isn't as simple as shown here.
Your procedure neglects the fluid temperature required for the leak/drip test to be done. Due to fluid expansion, the level must be checked at the right temperature band. If checked while too cool you may end up overfilling. If checked too hot you are likely to run out some fluid and end up underfilling. Without a capable instrument to check for the prescribed fluid temperature: OBD2 terminals (usually 4 and 13) may be bridged/connected, start car, move shifter from P to D and back to P, swiftly move the shifter between D and N (about 4 times) then back to P. The D indicator in the combination meter comes on steady (for ready), Flashing (for too hot), and does not show if too cold (ruclips.net/video/x97UZXhhAk0/видео.html).. Once a steady D shows, remove obd connector and carry out drip test.
Thanks for your comment. The transmission fluid definitely require change over time. I had to change my transmission fluid because I was experiencing slight slipping up hill. I believe 6 to 7 years in it is good enough with regular commute.
@@ShelDockToyotaVitz Like Brown said, because of that comment I never changed my transmission oil and now my car 3 cylinder vitz running very slow. It goes 5km/h up hill and max 70km/h down hill. @@abrahambioblack1960 hopefully you don't have any damage done to the transmission if it's slipping and you are still driving it like that. @@ShelDockToyotaVitz i had my alternator repaired tested ok battery was charging. Still at some time battery light flickers on and off. My coil plug burnt 2 times before that. Can it be something else? Thank in advance
Since you have done all that work and confirmed it is not the problem then it must be something else. Check to ensure that your battery to alternator connection has no loose connection.
Breathers are usually placed in certain locations so that fluid does not leak from them. If you have a leaking breather, chances are your fluid level is too much or too high. Follow the directions in the video on how to check if your transmission require more or less fluid. Thanks for you request.
It is good to have a manual for your vehicle because it tells you exactly how much transmission fluid or gear box fluid to use. If you do not have a manual for your vehicle you can drain the fluid in a drain can then use this fluid as your means of measuring the new fluid to go in your transmission or gear box. Hopefully this can help.

Hi dude! Is the correct measure of oil when it is full to the top screw? I'd like to know that, because I removed the top screw you show, put my finger in, and didn't feel any oil.
Unscrew the bung under the transmission and remove it- ensure a catchcan is there to catch the overflowing fluid. Pour the fluid in at the screw shown in the video until it start to flow out through the bung, stop and replace the bung.
Newer vehicles are made with CVT transmission. This type of transmission is usually compact and smaller than a automatic transmission- older transmission type. Because CVT uses a belt and pulley system you hardly notice when there is a change in gear however with the automatic transmission, when the gear is changing there is a slight delay in power..
Once it's a CVT transmission ensure that CVT is written on the container and ensure its Toyota CVT transmission fluid if it's a Toyota vehicle you have.
