Exactly. What ticks me off most our when people say this is "bad". I agree that it could have been better, but what we got is still really good. To me, the only real flaw is the cut content, and this problem can easily be solved by reading those missing parts in the manga. No real need for people to drop the anime entirely. I read the arc afterwards, and I think we got the MOST essential parts for the story going forward, and the parts we did get we adapted well for the most part. I actually holding on to the hope that they could possibly have a villain recap episode for season 6 that will show some of the stuff the cut (it would make sense since we sort of got another hero recap episode for this season's finale). I know it's unlikely and really isn't that big a deal because of what I already just said, but I think an anime "original" episode is the best way to show that stuff after this point.

The League of Villains are becoming each time stronger, just like the 1-A Class students. We already know from previous episodes that the villains survived on this battle and that Deika City got destroyed, but is still impacting to see how things are developing on this arc.
I get what you're saying about people in vulnerable positions not needing to sympathize with villains, but the alternative is just bad storytelling. Stan Lee once said he didn't want his villains wearing black hats, which basically means no two dimensional bad guys twirling their mustaches. I think the phrase is "There but by the grace of God go I", and those are definitely the best villains
Given his origin, its rather conceivable that there was another Twice running around, or rather another Jin Bubaigawara. Its not unreasonable to think that the original escaped the mayhem of the clone rebellion or another clone fled, then went into hiding and started doing their own thing. Twice wasn't sure if he were the original or not and the only way to check would mean his death if he wasn't. There is the fact that everyone else turned to goo when they died. This means either Twice is the original, the quirk would also cause the original to melt into goo for some reason, or the original escaped. The though likely crossed Twice's mind at some point. Although if those Bubaigawaras who came marching in were the result of that incident they wouldn't have that scar on their foreheads, but I could see how that would slip past him while they keep poking his trauma button. He got over his trauma enough to start making clones of himself again, but yeah, that doesn't mean he's over it. He has proof that he isn't a clone, but after his arm heals up who can say?
Also just separate of my analysis. Here is why it is important to sympathize with these people. One, it doesn’t justify what they do. But also, no one is pure evil. There is no such thing. And if you want to help these people, you need to see their perspective. They might be psychos but the solution is not just lock them up forever and forget about them. A killer is only a monster for a moment. And there are VERY few in this world that can’t be gotten to. If these people got the right therapy they could recover. The ONE exception is AFO. That man is the dark god. He had the opportunity to be something else but then chose his path and never looked back. He has NO remorse. He is not lost, he is not sick. He willfully chooses this life and it was no ones conclusion but his own even when he had support that told him this wasn’t the way. And because that is the case and BECAUSE there is no way to make him recover. THAT is the one that has to be put down no matter what. Every backstory we have seen shows that these catastrophes could have been avoided if they had the right support. AFO is NOT like that. And that is why he truly has succeeded in his dream of being an all powerful devil. Because that man is not human. And honestly I don’t think he ever was.

There are VERY few that can manage arm breaking levels so consistently for THAT long. And if he can make copies of Gigantomachia, AFO himself, or freaking just ANYTHING. Dabi is one hell of a dangerous thing to multiply to such a level. Burn a country down in an instant. This is now THE most dangerous quirk in the league. If AFO could take this freaking quirk, it’s over. There is no conceivable way to win because this guy takes city destroying tornadoes as bruises to the cheek. So there’s NO CONCEIVABLE WAY TO BREAK HIS BONES. Be happy that Twice overcame his trauma, but this far more than Toga and Shigaraki’s upgrades just made anything that the kids just earned in power to be meaningless. Shigaraki’s upgrade now just TRULY showed how scary it is. Touching a building and minimal effort toppling a damn tower. Just one touch. That reach is RIDICULOUS. And since we know he hasn’t recovered all his memories…that can still get bigger. This one was chosen to be AFO’s successor for a damn reason. Also his training with AFO is truly a wonder. His reaction time is CRAZY. This guy might be entitled to his power but he deserves to think that way. He’s not a lazy combatant. He thought so highly of his power BECAUSE he already saw himself as all powerful. And that’s why AFO kept giving him tests that wouldn’t kill him but humble him. Stain, the Hosu incident, losing everything at Kamino. No one is truly all powerful. Not even AFO and he’s a fucking god. And that’s why he is so confident fighting Machia. He saw his master get taken down before his eyes. So he knows Machia is lesser. AFO is the opposite of All-Might. An EXCELLENT teacher. And a TERRIBLE father. And they are both creating INCREDIBLE successors. Shigaraki has an advantage over Izuku as he is in his 20s and is a full grown adult. And with a fully developed personality, recovering his memories won’t change who he is. Dabi. Has gotten some VERY special treatment at the league and is unlike ANY of the league. He doesn’t come off as an outcast, or a messed up head, or hell this one has INCREDIBLE abilities. (I think he is a sociopath though. So one of the much more sound conditions here and just has a bit of a lack of empathy.) Up until Twice went off, this guy was the strongest in the league outside Shigaraki. His own training is ABSOLUTE. It’s concentrated and he has his own incredible reaction times. There are ways for him to improve of course. And if this one fully masters his quirk…he’s on par with Twice. He is a true AFO/OFA contender, I can feel it. He wouldn’t receive such special treatment otherwise. He was given a personal Nomu at the camp and freaking lead the vanguard action squad AT the camp. The freaky 6 armed chainsaw Nomu. And then he was given the one that fought Endeavor. He is alert and constantly aware of his surroundings. Not entitled to power. And even showing SERIOUS remorse for who he kills. And his Stain inspiration is still unknown how far he takes it. But I think he might take it more seriously than even Spinner. And his identity did not come back when the police found the names of every league member but him and Shigaraki. Aka Tenko Shimura. His burning body can be overcome with better surgeries for his body. (Notice that the smoke is specifically always on his fake skin.) And that could change his constitution as he is a glass cannon. However, he was VERY unbothered by the ice attacks. Even frost on his body. No reaction at all. And lastly there’s redestro. This one seems to respond and talk which allows his quirk to swell. So in all likelihood it is an emotional quirk. And considering what it does to his body, I’d dare say it’s the strongest emotional quirk. Almost akin to Machia’s freaky battle quirk. (Which I presume is his original. Growing when he’s fighting.) His reaction and response is one of the VERY few of a greater class than Shigaraki. Which is amazing. If it wasn’t Redestro would already be dead courtesy of decay. Destro had the 1st quirk to be CALLED a quirk. I think Redestro is either great grandson or great great grandson to Destro. Meta powers are approximately 250 years old. And AFO and OFA have been around for about 200. So it’s likely Destro is not quite as old. Let’s be generous and say Destro is about 150. Probably the end of AFO’s true hold on Japan as he mentioned the world was in chaos. There’s a reason these villains are so famous. They hold their influence for freaking centuries. Amazing AFO’s hold on Japan was erased from history. But NOT Destro’s army. Redestro is not the 1st Redestro. Each one is named Redestro as the leader of the army I can assume. Which also explains Redestro’s anger at Shigaraki. AFO is a known immortal monster. There is no need for a successor and this lucky brat is setting the stage in the same class as what he has held for generations. MANY successors for Destro. So likely the cause of his want to destroy the league.
I'm afraid Dabi has always been a mystery. Even up to this point we haven't been giving anything on his backstory or really much of his motivation. When the heroes raided the bar to rescue Bakugo they revealed the real names of most of the villains. I think the only ones that weren't revealed were Shigaraki, Kurogiri, and Dabi. We soon found out that Shigaraki is Nana's grandson and more recently we found out Kurogiri was a school friend of Eraserhead and Present Mic. I hadn't thought of it until now, but we also haven't been given any sort of explanation on what his quirk is, we just see him shoot blue fire. In this universe the mechanics of how a quirk work are important, such as Bakugo's quirk being nitroglycerin like sweat rather than simple explosions. This makes it different from Curious' landmine quirk, which turns things into bombs. How a quirk works is important. I could likely BS an explanation for Deku being able to use black whip all of a sudden. For example I could say that his quirk is an energy force that is normally kept internal to enhance his physical ability, but recently he had found a way to extend it out of his body to grab things. How well he could explain away his other quirks depend on what they are.
Don't worry as a manga reader I can confirm that Dabi has more of a focus in the arc after this that will be in s6 so don't worry about that. And you will get his backstory and learn how his quirk works then.
Twice is my favorite of the League of Villains! This episode made me feel so bad for him. Just because of his past. I pitied for him. Can't wait til you see the next episode! Be sure you have Kleenexes beside you for it!
I think Giren should be fine, Twice’s clones were told to make a cushion for him when the building collapsed, which he can do with his clones. Also to answer you’re question, Twice’s original body is with Toga so all the other Twice’s we see are clones of him. Not only that but I feel for the most part that Twice’s problem stemmed from the fact that never had anyone to fight for, and always carried a clipping fear and doubt that he was the original that it gravely hampered his abilities. But you see in this episode that after finally knowing that he was real and having someone to fight for Twice is finally able to use his abilities at there peak performance. Overcoming his own fears and demons. Also if you think this had you sympathizing with the villains. Waite till you see the next episode. As for worrying about the villains being too sympathetic to the point of influence. I feel that it is necessary to do a times to make them more relatable and human instead of just being flat characters. You could just do a purely evil character, but they still need to be compelling to avoid them being the mustache twirling villains of old.

I actually agree with you Zamber. I hear so many people say they want to be Shigaraki, and for the life of me i cant understand why. Liberation army are fighting for freedom. They still arnt good guys by any means, but they act for an actual reason.Shigaraki is what i call truly Evil, because he Destroys just to Destroy. He has no true motivations he just wants all living things to die. While character wise it is compelling you shouldnt want to BE him.

I actually agree with you Zamber. I hear so many people say they want to be Shigaraki, and for the life of me i cant understand why. Liberation army are fighting for freedom. They still arnt good guys by any means, but they act for an actual reason.Shigaraki is what i call truly Evil, because he Destroys just to Destroy. He has no true motivations he just wants all living things to die. While character wise it is compelling you shouldnt want to BE him.

Plot:
